No. But she didnt cry because they lost Daigo the leader that saved the world and helped every one of them this past year grow into a better and stronger person...she cried because she thought they had lost Daigo her new boyfriend. The scene gets even worse because she is the only one who reacts that drastic to his supposed death. Even Yayoi is calm as hell in comparison to her. I wouldnt be so mad about it if it werent for the last scene though. Daigo is back and everyone reacts like you expect and Amy? She is just standing doing the sexy cry and gushing over him. The Amy I saw over the past year wouldnt have done that. She would have hit Daigo and say something like "Took you long enough." If all of this would have happened with say Meeko or Yayoi I wouldnt be this mad because its in character for both but Amy? In the Universe of the show she was presented as the ultimate Tomboy, the female version of Daigo. Gushing that hard over a boy is not in character for her and thats what grinds my gears. |

She was standing there crying because she loves Daigo. And it's not like she was blubbering, on her knees, snot running down her nose. She was standing up straight with a few tears down her cheeks, just staring in disbelief. She was not gushing. She was happy to see him alive after thinking he was dead for several days. It was a beautiful moment. |

The whole Daigo X Amy thing was forced into the last Episodes and was shoved into our faces. If they did it alot more subtle I wouldnt mind but the way they handled it was too distracting for me to enjoy it. Heck if the only time they mentioned Daigo and Amy married and had children was in 100 Years after I would be okay with that. |

Everyone loved Daigo but Amy had the most extreme reaction of all the Kyoryuger just so we would believe she loves Daigo in a boyfriend/girlfirend way. I just dont like that. If everyone cried like she did or if she would be more subtle like the others I would be okay with that but this? If you dont mind that its okay but I just cant enjoy that stuff. |

I wasnt talking about the scene were Daigo returned but when he died or rather during his fight against Deboss. Everyone was holding back their tears except Amy who was sitting on the ground crying about not wanna loose her new boyfriend Daigo and everyone else comforting her that her new boyfriend Daigo will surely return. When the frozen Castle exploded everyone had tears in their eyes yes and they were shocked but they still didnt act like Amy who screamed his name from the top of her lungs. I just cant see whats supposed to be "sweet" or "touching" about her reaction. To me it just comes off like Sanjo was told that she and Daigo would have grand kids in 100 years after and him trying to shoehorn it into the last episodes. He did this whole thing 1000 times better with Ryu and Akiko in Double. |

I don't mean to come off as hostile either. Just to me this series was absolutely perfect start to finish, especially the finale. And nothing is going to convince me otherwise.
I defend what I love dammit. |

I said a dozen times already what happened isnt bad in and of itself its bad (for me atleast) beacuse it happened with Amy. She was never presented as that kind of character. The whole scene with her getting thrown out of the frozen Castle is totally out of character for her. It would have been alot more in character for her to say something like "Dont get yourself killed." and then jump out of the frozen castle herself. She was never written as someone who reacts this emotional. Even Yayoi didnt act like she did and she is at this point in time as much in love with Daigo as she is. Maybe I wouldnt care about this so hard if both of them would have acted like that but Amy on her own? I just cant buy that. Quote:
I never tied to convince anyone here they had to think about the Daigo X Amy thing the same way I do :lol |

We should probably start to agreeing we just completely disagree on that aspect of the show :lol
If we go on like that we could fill another ten pages :lol |

On a completely different note....how awesome was Candelira snipping her fingers like Torin now inheriting his role as the mentor of the Kyoryuger? :lol

It was just so great how Chaos thought he had the upper hand and then Candelira appeared and helped whoop his butt :lol

You are almost like my Dad. It took him years to get the names of me and my brothers right :lol

I will concede one point about the finale. Some parts, though awesome, did feel rushed. Like Chaos appearing in Hell. There was no plotting of it he just got beat by Dansetsu and then BAM he was in hell. |

What I dont get is why Shinya and Yuko were untransformed in this Episode but Dantetsu wasnt. |

Are you guys seriously arguing over the legitimacy of Daigo and Amy's relationship? You do realize this IS a Japanese show. We should be lucky we got what we did at all. And it's not like the signs of Amy liking Daigo in that manner were not shown earlier in the series. It could be worse, they could have not have Daigo notice Amy until his previous loved died 5 minutes beforehand.

I loved the finale. The action, the dialogues (even though the Daigo/Ami-thing was a bit TOO much for me- both felt a bit OOC during that stuff) and also the music. The scene with everyone singing the opening together was amazing.
Also, I was really happy that Yayoi is now FINALLY a part of the main team. That tomboy-ish outfit looks fantastic on her. The ending with everyone dancing was great to. I'm still kinda sad it's over x,D |
Was a pretty good finale. The Daigo/Deboss fight was nothing special but everything going on around it was great (apart from everything involving Amy). Candelira and Luckiero absolutely stole the episode, which surprised me because I haven't really enjoyed them all the much throughout the show as a whole.
If the whole show had been as good as these last few episodes, I think I might have enjoyed Kyoryuger a lot more. |
EDIT: Moved the bulk of this post over to the KYORYUGER FINAL THOUGHTS thread.
Loved the last 3 episodes. They brought to a conclusion every plot thread and conflict presented over the course of the show. Some elements were a little rushed, but they still had the necessary emotional impact. Kyoryuger will go down as a top-5 Sentai series for me. |

I think what was meant by that was just that Deboss and his Generals were some kind of biological weapon created by aliens. |

Though the movie has an enemy from space, it's no one related to the show's ending. |
I really hope we get to see them in the V-Cinema. I dont wanna get screwed again like I did with Fourze :lol
|
The DaigoxAmy relation may be out of place, but it still holds a special place inside me. I didn't mind that it happened.
|
So help me out here. Was it ever revealed why the Deboss wanted to destroy Earth?
I mean, the main Deboss dude survives by eating emotions. Wouldn't it be a good idea to keep, y'know, the beings that generate your food source around? |
