Needless to say, can't wait for the DJ gun/sword. Hopefully that mixes it up. |

It's weird as well because it's a very similar concept to Chalice, yet Chalice was AWESOME. |
About Sigurd being the Energy Rider to always lose: isn't he one of the only two to have killed something?(Inves Hase, Shin Zangetsu killing that big monster from the episode prior to that one)
|
Good episode. I liked the plot stuff a lot and it does indeed look like next week will be another major turning point. I'm really getting engrossed in the show's plot and am especially curious to see what the hell DJ Sagara's deal is.
I liked some of the action this week, but I cannot get on board with the Tulip Hoppers. They just look ridiculous, especially with the giant lock piece just sticking up in front of the driver's face. Me from October was wrong: this show can totally pull off dramatic transformations while still keeping the fruit thing intact - Kouta's transformation at the start of the episode was freaking awesome. I gave it an "Excellent" because while some of the fight scenes may have been lacking, the advancement of the plot really got me going. I called last week's episode filler because the main story line (Yggdrassil) didn't advance at all, but this week we took like 40 steps forward and the prospect of finally knowing what Micchy saw that changed his tune? I'm beyond excited.
|
I'm beyond excited to see Takatora and Kouta possibly wind up on the same side of things. Or at least see more eye to eye on what's happening. This could be a really interesting reveal next episode. It looks like they're checking out some kind of fossils?

I love how many vehicles this show has. I'm not sure any series has had this many different ones before. And the way they're designed, they end up replacing the Food Droids, the Gaia Memories gadgets, etc. in the toy line. It really works and gives much need variety to the Kamen Riders' rides. I hope to see a couple of more before the show is done.
PS That preview and episode title O_O |
Gaaaaaah! It was sorta hard to appreciate this episode after the tease for next week. Looks like we FINALLY get to see what Takatora showed Micchy. Also more Bravo, woohoo!
But yeah, not a bad episode I suppose. I liked the fight between Kouta and Takatora at the end (mainly their initial confrontation and when Gaim was forced into his base orange arms), Sagara continued to be mysterious and teased more about Helheim choosing someone, and it looks like there may be a bit more to Minato than we currently have seen. But damn that tease for next week. Quote:

I do hope that things get changed up a bit in the fights though, as others have stated. I don't completely dislike what we've been getting recently, and I even liked this episode's fights for the most part, but when you compare it to what we got earlier on in the show it's definitely lacking in creativity. Hell we don't even really see much in the way of anyone switching between different arms. Hell, has Ryugen even used kiwi outside of the movie and briefly in one episode? It'd be nice if they changed things up a bit more. Now Gaim basically goes straight to jinba lemon, which kinda makes sense as it is significantly more powerful, but it makes for a bit more of a boring fight. |

I loved the plot advancement in this episode too. I love Ryouma kicking the shit out of Kouta and Kaito because he is my favorite energy rider right now. Though I love that there is more behind Yoko too. Can't wait to see what's finally going on with the forest and more Knuckle yay! |
S.H. Figuarts Suika Arms, Dandeliner, and Tuliphopper
You did AutoVaijin and Itassha Robo, you can do these Bandai Toei already FUBAR'd Wizard with an impossibly complex Wizardragon that would need to be $300 and released as SHF x SoC |
These episodes are getting shorter and shorter... that is a good thing... right?

And although others didn't get quite as many seeds as him, it seems even weirder that other Riders have upgrade forms...they never use? As I watched Baron get his ass repeatedly kicked I almost found myself screaming *mango* under my breath. Has this show forgotten its own gimmick? |
Dear SPLIT LIP and Locke,
You two were right about the reflection meaning nothing. Congratulations. I submit to defeat. Sincerely, KRX Anyway, I almost voted "good" on this episode. Then I watched the ending. |
Another great episode. Shit continues to get more intense and interesting. I'm starting to think Kaito could turn like Micchy did, and that Ryoma may end up giving him an energy lock seed.
|
A really great Episode but there is one thing though I have to say about this Episode...Kaito kinda confuses me.
I liked him all this time (and I still do) but his whole thing about strength is kinda starting to annoy me. Not because I dislike his attitude but I dont really get what the heck he is after. We knew he wants to destroy Yggdrasil for what they did to Zawame and his family (whatever it was that happened to them) so I figured he wants justice but this Episode he still keeps going on and on with the whole "I wanna see if Yggdrasil is strong" thing. I always thought the reason why he wanted to have strength was because he knew Yggdrasil had it and he in turn needs it to get his revenge on them. Can someone else make sense out of this? I am just really confused by Kaito at the moment :lol |
Is it just me or is Sid proving to be an incompetent Rider?
|
Quote:
He's held his own in every fight and , so far, hasn't been beaten to the point that he 'de-henshins'. |
He's certainly held his own. And maybe the only reason he appears incompetent is because he's being forced to hold back. Being allowed to go all out I imagine he's pretty much unstoppable.
|
I love this show. You sit through the episode, you love the episode, then you see the previews for the next one and want to talk about that instead. Koata seeing whatever Micchy saw?! I hope they actually show it!
Those Tulip Hoppers though are just weird. Maybe there'll be another Lock that forms Arms, and together it'll form a big skinny-mech! Never know. |
I swear the DJ is hiding something good. I really wish we would get Baron version of Suika weapon, better yet, a Ryugen cannon as well! I cant wait to see what the face of true evil is.

Don't remind me. I have yet to get Zangetsu and now I am having even less luck with the new ACs. Their popularity is really elevating their demand to the nth degree. Sigh. |
Well, that was pretty cool. Nice to see someone finally having the idea of using Suika Arms again, even if Gaim has Jinba now. As usual, Sagara is cool and Sengoku is still one of my favourite riders ever.
|
A rather stage setting episode but still good. The episode gives us a really good idea on how much the Energy Riders have been holding back because both Duke and Zangetsu fought off Jimba Lemon rather effortlessly. Ryouma drops some rather cryptic knowledge that he can't measure the potential on two people. Kouta is to be expected because he has the Core Slot prototype, but I didn't expect Minato to be named as the other. I thought for sure it'd be Kaito. The Tulip Hoppers are rather interesting, flower motif AT-RTs with stealth capabilities and crack generating abilities. One has to wonder if Yggdrasil is a fan of Star Wars between this and the Speeder Bike Dandeliner. Mitchy is definitely starting to work both sides by ratting out Kouta and Kaito's plan. Baron getting a turn with Watermelon Arms is cool, and learning his motivation is to see if Yggdrasil is strong or not. Episode ends with Takatora saying he'll show Kouta the truth and dammit the episode ends!
Edit: Also wondering what the world DJ Sagara is really up to. |
Okay, this episode was fucking awesome! :D
