Perhaps, but wasn't one of the main issues people had with it the difficulty of matching the new footage to the old? I'm sure I heard that some where.

Mind you I suppose Dragon Knight was SD so the gap wasn't nearly as drastic as it could have been.

I dunno I really love Dragon Knight - and by all regards Japan were really happy with the adaptation too - plus it won some awards and stuff in the US as well so I really don't know why the toku community puts such a downer on it.

The chaotic editing, the strange lack of music, and some of the actors just not being convincing enough. It would be unfair to harp on the effects from 2003, but I just wasn't a fan of Dragon Knight.

I don't see people that suggest decade to be adapted. okay it is a tribute series to all the other riders but if someone wanted a way to adapt the rider universe to the usa decade will be the best option

Ryuki had the best toy sales of the 2000's which is why they pick it. I remember they started working on DK back in 2006. So they had to pick between Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki, 555 or Blade. Hibki would never work in the US and they might skip out on it due to poor toy sales.

As much as everybody would and will complain about quality of the picture, why not just do a Showa one? Plots are simple enough to be adapted over to the US. True there won't be a whole lot of merchandise sales, but they could always come up with their own.

You sorta answered your own question there, there is pretty much zero incentive to use a showa series.

They could make a original American Kamen Rider. If the US can make a original American Godzilla and Ultraman then why not Kamen Rider?

How would Decade be the best option? The entirety of his series is based upon the existence of others.

The sheer amount of explaining they'd have to do to make sense of it all probably wouldn't be worth it.

I think an original American Kamen Rider show done in the tone of Arrow would be a cool idea. We would need someone that would care enough to start the project.

Although I largely think live action US superhero shows suck, seeing all the new footage done for Power Rangers during the Disney era and the great new fights done for Dragon Knight, I really do think an original live action special effects series could be done. Maybe something completely original, like Tir Na Nog. But I also think we're also like two decades too late for anyone to even suggest the idea, considering there is barely any original US action animation, let alone anything else.

I dunno, I tried to give Dragon Knight a fair shot, but I just couldn't get into it. Had I watched it before actually watching Ryuki I may have had a better opinion of it, maybe, but I dunno.

If Saban does adapt Gaim when ToQqer becomes a PR show then I under how they will handle Bravo? I guess they can cut all of the gay moments of his character or make him female.

I would adapt hesei, there's a whole lot more depth to the stories.

if you change Gatack to Shear and Thebee to Wasp, it would be fine. Drake and Sasword sound cool anywhere
