Yes, I'm very well aware of that. However, this wasn't a boom mike in the shot. It was a relatively simple continuity error that should have been caught. Additionally, I said it wasn't about this one instance. It's about the general attitude that they seem to have for their product. It's great that some people prefer to simply ignore an inferior product and move on. I'm sorry, but I don't subscribe to the "it's better than nothing" philosophy. I also don't see why people who have dissenting opinions get dog piled when they don't toe the party line. It seems as though some people would prefer threads locked to only those that drink the Kool-Aid.

I don't watch this show, so I don't give a fuck what teams are repped. But I'm baffled that this supposedly professional production -- with millions upon millions of dollars backing it -- has such a lax philosophy toward quality control. Or quality, in general. :lol

I worked as a Post Production Supervisor at a major entertainment advertising company for 5 years. If I let something like this slip through my QC, I would have been straight up fired.

I - amongst many - didn't notice and it seems the only ones who did were intentionally looking. I probably would have never noticed (I had to rewatch the clip four times, carefully pausing and studying the footage) unless someone pointed it out. It's a blurry microsecond of footage neither worth cutting, or worth refilming.

I think the Turborangers are a fun Editing Easter Egg while the Dairangers just existing because...

It's also such an easy fix the editor should be ashamed he left it in.

If fact, the solution is so easy -- and they seemingly went to such great lengths to insert the Gaorangers into the earlier shots (which is why it's so baffling that this shot is included) -- that I have to wonder if the editor left it in as a buried Easter egg.

The Dairangers? Yeah, they need fixing. Car zord? Fix it. Zords on an iPad? Fix it. Complete disconnect between Noah and the sentai footage? Fix it. Using TVN subs? Fix it. But this is just so worthless, people are defending the tumours and hating on the zits.

I've already made my points on the Dino Supercharge thread that I don't care whether Saban screwed up and they suck or not. I'm a devoted Power Rangers fan, have been since Day One, and I'm gonna stay one, through the good times and bad, and I don't care. If they wanna keep the Sentai-exclusive Rangers in Super Megaforce, I'm OK with that. In fact, I think it's cool 'cause it gives the younger audience a chance to learn about the Rangers before MMPR, plus we may see them again in the Legend War.

In closing: STOP RUINING IT FOR US HARDCORE FANS, PLEASE!!!!!

The answer is a resounding yes. It is an incredibly easy fix. You just cut the shot entirely and have a tighter scene as a fringe benefit. They already massively reedited the sequence -- why keep that one extraneous shot in?

Listen, this isn't a YouTube compilation video. Someone got paid lots of money to edit this! As such, it's not unreasonable for a fan to expect a professional product, not an amateurish, tossed off hack-a-thon. Especially considering the lengths to which the rest of the production team went to include the Gaorangers in every shot leading up to it.

Regardless of what I think about the show's quality (baaaaaaaad), it's soooo wacky that they left this shot in.

Although biggest surprise for me was watching In Space. Although they put in WAY more effort, the editing in that show is ATROCIOUS. You think this Pink Ranger thing is bad? Good lordy Lord, the editing was so poor in In Space I couldn't even stomach the first ten episodes. It was exactly the same with MMPR, Lost Galaxy etc

I agree it's rather bizarre. This is nothing compared to the Dairangers. It's so beyond minor it's insane, Saban does a lot of crap, but I wouldn't count this among it.

I'm more interested in how they're going to safely land. There's really only one flying team in all of Power Rangers/Super Sentai unless we get something like In Space board footage, which I think'd be cool.

I don't understand the hate for leaving a microsecond of footage in that you can't even notice unless you're looking for it. Like others said - it's not the blatant "NEW POWERS" cop-out ... it's just cheap editing. Until Samurai came out, cheap editing was what Saban was known for :)

it wouldnt surprise me if jetman is used especially for the footage wise, it's not easy to cover edit in all gokaichanges if it doesnt make sense, i think gosei will tell them you have flying power keys, legendary ranger mode-flying powers.

you have to remember sentai was created before pr, so everything was created for sentai, some of the footage cant be edited.

This clip more or less shows that they are not using Jetman or Turboranger footage. The Gokaiger episode that it's taken from used Turboranger footage while "fighting" the Red Lion Zord/GaoLion, and then Jetman powers when they fell.

Here, they morph in to Wild Force Rangers while on the floating island, have the Wild Force Rangers super-imposed on to the Sentai footage to cover the Turborangers, and then again when they're falling from the sky (super-imposed over the Jetman footage).

After that, the Gokaigers only used their normal power and GaoRanger power (ie: WildForce). I think this episode is clear of any sort of NEW POWER nonsense.

I was just told of the GokaiChanges for the Gokaiger ep were and when I saw the split second Turboranger footage, I was actually happy because it was a fun split second flurp.

The only problem I see is an attentive kid wondering why Emma went from White to Pink to White again.

Can't be any harder than figuring out why Jake goes from Black to Green to Black. Hell, I could never figure out if Wild Force had a Pink or a White Ranger.

Hey, I loved when the Dairangers were shown in Episode 2, I would've loved to see Jetman in this one. Plus, I didn't mind the explanation Gosei gave about those powers being “never before seen”. Gosei could've done the same with Jetman and Turboranger!

Maybe...sorta...kinda. I 'unno. I heard that Saban had been looking to adapt seasons of Super Sentai for awhile before settling on Zyuranger when it started comin' out.

I don't believe the preview reached where the Jetman The preview didn't actually reach any part with Jetman footage; its all Turboranger.

I almost want to say that Saban pitched the idea of "Power Rangers" but as a different name with Jetman but it failed bad. He tried again the next year using Zyuranger and it caught on due to the dinosaur combining mecha and such.

The pretty much excepted idea/rumor is that Jetman almost became the first Power Rangers season. But they ended up changing to Zyuranger. The reasoning for doing so never been made clear. Whether because Jetman is fairly adult and serious and wouldn't translate well for American kids, or for the simple fact that it was 1993, and dinosaurs were the unadulterated shit.

Well now that we know that Jetman was supposedly the originally proposed, then cancelled, first season of Power Rangers, I propose that someone fanfic this idea immediately!

As for this, its sloppy editing and could have easily been avoided, but after watching the clip again and reading through the thread I've become a lot less bothered about it. It's pretty blink and you'll miss it (and unless you know what you're looking for its just a pink blur), but like has been pointed out there have been far more glaring production errors in things in the past.

Until Saban randomly has a Japanese kid next to the Megazord in a fight sequence again, things like this seem minuscule :lol
