I love that the Shield Express is a total ----. It makes this episode crunchy like Pocky.
|
The monster this time was kind of a disappointment after the last three excellent models, especially Coffin-Man last week. He had no real plan, he did nothing I'll remember. But thankfully those DarkRobos are everything I hoped for. And now I need toys of them.
Also nice seeing Shwarz is the sunlight, I never noticed those rose motifs on his armor before, makes me wonder what the others look like without all the dark. And for those haters out there, see? Kagura never once said Super Girl not even when she couldn't lift Green's Axe. So.. I wish she did though, I was expected it and then nothing. Also looks like Blue and Yellow have something going on! ... Now he just needs to keep his dorky little hands off Mio. .. Ahem. Yes, I voted Excellent. Edit: I forgot about the Shield Ressha! That thing is excellent to. Now that I understand how the shield opens and saw it action. |

This right here is what came to mind the minute I saw Tokkyuoh's shield beam:

I have a question, how exactly did Greeta help Schwartz? Did she provide the trains, send the monster on a rampage or something else?
|
Whoever designed the villains was a genius.

When she said she was going to help Schwartz I thought she stole Tokatti's key card. :lol |
The designs that have gone into producing the Shadow Line, just, unff. Now you have know something about me, I love steampunk aesthetics any day. So add that to a decent enough sentai show then I'm putty in their hands.
There are a number of subtle things that confuse me about Toqger at the moment though, - Conductor and Ticket seem to have a plan of their own. - Greeta is... I don't get how anything works in her plots. - This week's monster being flat out unmemorable rubbish. Now, is this a case of the writers trying to sound clever compounded with me trying to read something into the show which was never there to begin with? Or are they actually foreshadowing a later plot line? (Third option: Winging it) Either would be fine as its great fun anyway, but I seriously can't tell right now. I think Toqger will win or lose me based on whether the writers have a master plan or not. If they're winging it, meh... but they're certainly hinting at something, aren't they? |
Y'know, if the monster's goal was to cause pain why wouldn't he ust y'know…blow up the dam he was at?

I'm sorry guys, I just am not enjoying this at all. This episode was just down right stupid. The villains are barely even showing up and the ranger cast just annoys me to no end. Plus, I still just down right hate ToQ-Oh's design. Four episodes in and it is doing nothing for me. I'm going to give it through the Gaim cross over episode and then I'm done if it isn't working for me by that point.
|
Sorry guys. I know this has been a short voyage. But, I think this is my train-stop...

Anyway, I loved the episode. I'm not going to lie, I'm really, really loving ToQger, far more then I thought I would. I'm actually vastly preferring it to Kyoryuger and I was one of the few that loved Kyoryuger despite its flaws. One thing bugged me though, shouldn't have Tokatti noticed the Pass was gone when he returned the items? What did the money get returned on? |

Further than that, how'd this system even work? Adults don't know they exist but they have a ToQ pass reader built into every store that takes the passes as legal tender? Dafuq? |

Oh my bad. Still a bit odd. But children logic I suppose.

Places are slowly beginning to implement touch-to-pay systems like that, so it isn't a stretch to think they can pay that way. As for where the money's linked to, I guess they have some sort of logical cover up for that.

Yes indeed. There's even one in the charity shop I volunteer in... it has yet to work properly, but that's another story entirely.

Here in Australia, practically every store has Tap To Pay, only small businesses don't. They're slowly phasing out PIN and signatures over here.

How secure are they? |
lol I can't believe they're not known to be real in some places! I Pay Pass EVERYTHING!
They're just as secure as a PIN or signature really, you should cancel a card if its stolen/lost no matter what, so I don't really see any reason for concern. At Supermarkets and stuff, at least in Australia, a PIN or signature is still required for payments over $100 for double security. That said, I work part time at a Supermarket while studying and if I had a dollar for every customer to freak out about how unsafe they were and blah blah, I'd be the richest man in the galaxy. Still, its not like Swiping and Inserting aren't still options. |
I don't think we have those in the UK.

Pay Pass is pretty common here, and it's the standard way to pay using a card. Just tap it and it automatically goes through, no PIN number, no signature. Of course, that brings up a security issue, and I think for more expensive purchases you need a signature.
I prefer being traditional with PINs and signatures, but working at a cashier I can see most people prefer to Pay Pass everything since it saves a lot of time. |
I live in a subarb and the local transit system does it a bit different. You load money onto a card like a re-loadable visa and the amount is deducted from whatever amount you have on the card.
A subway stations downtown uses the system too but not all of them has it yet. The transit system also issues out monthly passes you can buy that gives unlimited rides so long as you have the pass handy. |
Man, this show just keeps getting better and better... and Right continues his trend of changing into pink... let's see how long he keeps it up shall we? :D
