I guess the actress playing Ranru just didn't have the time to join. After all, the Zyurangers have mostly retired, so they should be easier to get than the Abarangers. I guess that's also why AbareBlack wasn't in. After all, it would have looked pretty damn cool to have three Black Rangers fighting together. |

I finally watched it. It was alright. Outside of some dodgy CG, it was fairly solid.
I never finished GoBus, but I did appreciate Jin not being revived because of the Busters' Bureivury. That, and I'm pretty sure the writers knew that they couldn't bring back one hero via bureivury without bringing back Dragon Ranger and Abare Killer, when dino Sentai are pretty well remembered for having someone die :lol Anyway, was a fun movie. I love it when the teams actually get to interact with each other, even if it's brief. And seeing Utchy team with the other ptera rangers was great (Yeah, they all teamed with their counterparts, but I enjoyed that sequence the most :lol) |

I gave it a 3, and even then I think I was being generous. Honestly I thought it was the worst vs. film there's been in years.
Regardless of how much they actually appeared in the film, the Go-Busters were completely shafted. They did half the hard work and didn't even get to be in the big fight, Usada and Gorisaki were completely absent (and Nick kinda pointless being there), Enter and Escape were superfluous and then taken down without by the Kyoyrugers without any real face off against the Go-Busters (on which note, how exactly did the Enter copy have Dark Red Buster), the Kyoryuzin combo was lame....I could go on. That said, I have REALLY missed all of the Go-Busters cast. Especially J. The Kyoryuger portion wasn't much better. So past Gabutyra travelled to the future to warn Daigo that he'd die in the future? And then knew all about it when they travelled into the past again? Did the writers not have a real concept of how meeting yourself in the past work or are dinosaurs suddenly all knowing and all seeing? The "evil Kyoryuger" thing lasted for all of 30 seconds too, which I guess is good given how horribly forced it was. And then there's the dino crossover itself, which was the best part of the film. The new villain seemed pretty lame and I still think the Neo Grifforzer and Abaranger-guy suits looked terrible, but I can't argue that the all-dino roll call wasn't incredibly cool. I think the film could have done a little better explaining why the other 4 Zyurangers and Abare Yellow weren't around, but I won't hold that too much against the film. I don't know what was going on with the Tiger Ranger costume though. And a few final thoughts - I'm not usually one to complain about this but this film had OBSCENE amounts of awful CGI. And I'm kinda disappointed the ToQger cameo wasn't actually part of the film itself - half the fun is having the current Sentai react to the newcomers. I think if it had opted to just be a Dino crossover film it might have fared much better, but it felt like half the time it didn't know what it wanted to be and really suffered because of it. |
Just watched this and I honestly thought this was a rather boring Vs. movie. It didn't really keep me interested after the first half. I wish that we could get some Abaranger Figuarts out of this movie or something but I really felt like everything happened to quickly and too easy. The "neo" villain designs were pretty cool though. I started to fall asleep by the end of the movie. :/

I can never bring myself to nitpick or slam these types of movies. There are some I enjoy more so than others based on the amount of times I find myself re watching a certain VS movie, I'm just happy and feel fortunate they exist and can bring us fanwank-tastic segments we normally wouldn't get in a Sentai or KR series.

Finished watching Imagination Station.
It was a fun movie, but…this really should've been it's own thing. The Gobusters felt kinda shoe horned, I mean you can ignore all of their scenes, come up with a different reason why Geki and Ryoji went evil and it'll be the same movie. And the constant bromance that went on between Gabutyra and Daigo…I really wanted to shout "Geeze, Daigo just marry him already!" The Kyoryugers traveling back in time to kill the dinosaurs…yeah I'm pretty sure that would've had a HUGE impact on the space time continuum and to have that not be acknowledged in someway is kind of…well dumb. Overall, I enjoyed it but this didn't feel like a proper VS movie at all. It felt more like a V Cinema or something. |

I got a good chuckle out of Kuroki's double take at Yaoyoi doing the whole Gobuster's enemy arriving counting thing.
|
Well I HATED Kyoryuger so seeing them with the Go-Busters was great, but oh man they had to bring Zyurangers, and Abaranger didn't they? And we never got to see the
ToQgers! This would of been prefect if Kyoryuger was better, the Go-Busters appeared more and ToQgers were even there briefly. And I hated seeing more of the older Villians a lot, if they don't exist why bring them back? |

It felt incredibly disconnected to me, The Go-Busters felt incredibly out of place and Enter, Escape and Jin's return was treated as such a normal thing despite it going against the events of the show.
The Dino team-up wasn't that better either, but I admit it had nice concepts. I just wish the VS movie and the Dino team-up had been two different things. |
I really liked it and thought they did a great job in putting it together.
I thought it gave Go-Busters a really fitting end by not compromising what the show was in any way. They weren't pushed to the background and their characters weren't suddenly made a whole lot goofier in a bid to make it more like Kyoryuger and maybe pave over some of the bad taste left after it didn't do so well - as I dreaded would happen. But no, the makers of the movie stood by Go-Busters and kept its integrity to the end. I felt it was actually one of the best integrations of two Sentai teams I've ever seen. The fact that the Go-Busters took on the more 'Special Operations' tasks and had to infiltrate a building or hold back the enemy forces so that the Kyoryugers could go do something else . . . it was all very tactical and thought-out, conveying that their organisation was the same one we saw in the 2012 series. The fact that, in a sense, Jin (or his data) was able to live on in J's heart rather than just disappearing or floating in the ether of digital space, I thought was a beautiful thing to have happen. All in all, I felt it was really respectful to the Go-Busters for which I am very grateful. I loved the correlation of the GBs and their buddies and the KRs and their dinosaur pals and I didn't feel they were shoehorned in with the whole dinosaur story. I felt they were an integral part of it, which was great! |

I liked it, but I can now sympathize with Matrixbeast's viewpoint that King gets too much focus. |
Just watched. At first I was really depressed over how plodding the whole thing was. Then it got progressively better.
Honestly, I was hoping for a better bookend to Stag Buster. And it was a little hammy how he, Enter, and Escape appeared. And telling how massively overpowering their characters were out of the last four Sentai series. But I'll take what I can get. I was hoping that Jin would have gotten to live properly, but alas. It's also really strange how much FUN Kyoryuger was. Watching the actors actually having fun at the end with all of it was a reminder about the way these series were written. Go-Busters was so much more serious compared to Kyuryuger. I won't disagree, Daigo is the equivalent of a script Twinkie. Lots of fluff outside, with nothing of substance at the middle. Between him and Right, I'm almost drawn out with how vapor Red Sentais have been written. But all that, it's a good watch. Fun, absurdly stupid in plot, and full of gaping holes, with a little fun in between. And not nearly enough Candiliera or Yaoyoi. I would have gladly taken a glamour off between Human Candi and Escape as my fan service. |
That was one hell of a funny Vs. movie :lolol.
|
It may not be the best VS ever but it was certainly a fun one.

If anything, the REALLY funny part was the appearance of the ToQgers after the end credits, that was shit hits the fan hilarious :lolol :lol.

We watched this tonight and I was ready to say it was really really good. Unfortunately, after the credits rolled the movie took a downturn for the worst as, while the dialog was funny, the entire scene with the ToQGers really killed the mood of the movie. Without that ending, I would give the movie a 7/10. With that ending, I give it a 4/10.
Anyway, I loved getting to see the AbaRangers and ZyuRangers in action again. I also thought it was pretty awesome having Bandora's staff make Neo-Grifforzer grow. The action was good, the Go-Busters were not bad, and most importantly, no Usada or Gorilla. That was the best idea ever. The negatives (sans the ToQ stuff) include how pointless it was to have the Kyoryugers turn evil for like 5 minutes and go back in time and the CGI for Tyrannosaurus. My god that CGI was awful. Oh yeah, and it kind of sucked that Daizyujin did nothing but get shot at while the other two got to fight that ugly interplanetarypurplythornything. |
You know, I honestly went into this movie expecting to hate it because of how it was advertised as Dinosaur fap fest. Having finally watched it, I have to say I enjoyed it. Not undermining Jin's sacrifice with Brave Da Ze? Good. Enter and Escape return due to Vaglass data still existing in fragments. Shaky, but works. Hiromu hat tipping Daigo's cameo from Go-Busters vs. Goakiger, nice little touch. Kuroki's double take a Yayoi counting down the arrival of the obligatory giant CG monster, priceless. The return of Buster Ready Go to my ear drums, hell yeah! While I still think the dinosaur team up would have been better as a V-Cinema, the overall product didn't undermine the Go-Busters at all in my eyes.
