Because it's supposedly a "latter" episode, and yet barely moved a thing.
Kouta met the Overlords, Micchy knows there's a divide at Yggdrasil... ... That's actually it. EDIT; Also, the Overlords are already the most boring villains ever. "We're bored." For fuck's sake, that's the lamest motivation EVER. |

So it turns out that the Overlord language is a cipher, much like Grongi, and the Japanese captions actually transcribe it. As it happens, their names also have meaning (Demushu = Shinku = Crimson, Redue = Hisui = Jade).
These kind folks already deciphered the cipher so I pretty much just translated it. Demushu vs. Baron Scene: Demushu: {Is that the best you can do} Demushu: {Human, more!} Demushu: {You're boring me, human.} Demushu: {What?!} Demushu: {Human!} Demushu: {Meddlesome pest...} After the Fight: Redue: {Hmm... so they're...} Scene with Sagara: Demushu: {Are you really interested in that thing?} Redue: {It tides over my boredom.} Their language is interesting Demushu: {Tch. Pointless.} Sagara: {Still have too much free time?} You never change, do you? Demushu: {You? Damn snake.} Redue: {You're assuming their form now?} Sagara: {I'll teach you one of their sayings:} I believe it goes “Unpreparedness is one's greatest enemy. Gaim overhears them, before fighting with Sid: Redue: {Isn't their language just so interesting?} Demushu: {Fine. I can learn it as well.} Gaim vs. Overlords: Demushu: {Does this one have more backbone than the other guy?} Demushu: {Come at me!} Demushu: {I'll fight seriously... and kill you.} Demushu: {Hmph. I expected more.} Demushu: {What a letdown.} |

Thanks for sharing! I was thinking I'd have to wait for blu-ray releases for a possible translation. Not much going on, but somewhat relieved it hasn't given anything major away that could be coming up.

Well definitely a great episode and seeing at least a bit of Sid's Lockseed power was great, so I guess that was cool.
Now while I will agree the action in this show isn't the best, it definitely is watchable, and yay we get to see Gridon and Bravo again. So overall a 5/5 Juicy episode, leaving us with questions like, are there more Overlords? Who is DJ Sagara? Which side will Micchy choose, and how will Takatora find out about the division? |

Something about this episode's pacing till feel a bit off. We learned a bit more about the Overlords and Sagara's manipulation of both sides.
And then we come to the scene with Mai…it feels like they don't really know what to do with her and she's just there to remind everyone that this whole thing started with them as a dance team. I think if I were to nitpick something about the action, how often they zoom into the DJ Gun kinda slowed down the pacing a bit. I mean, I know it's the new toy that they're suppose to hype everyone up but still... |

Does that mean that Sagara is the blue overlord?

I didn't know Triumphant arms was that OP to the point where he defeated 3 Watermelon lockseeds, and that was just him using his flags....

Hey she got a new Peach lockseed. Coolio. And Michhy continues to be an ass. Boy did he take a plunge into the dark side.
So the Sid Lockseed just combines stuff? Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Well overall, I thought it was a pretty good episode. Some nice moments with Michhy, some kick ass fighting, and some movement in the story. Pretty good if you ask me. Oh and one more thing, that song that played during the fight, fucking awesome! |

However, his introduction showed him wrecking regular Inves by himself, no problem. Then Zack seemed to get his ass kicked by a single common Inves and required the help of Micchy to defeat it.. while Micchy literally kills a common Inves without even using his Sengoku Driver finisher. |

Knuckle may have been cool. But I hardly see how this episode was worse than that one. I'll take good dialogue, mysterious new villains, and a great battle any day over that disappointing dance off nonsense. I just don't see how this week was apparently a "bad" episode.

And Kaito, bless him, has kinda become utterly pointless as well. He's completely detached from the core story, despite their best efforts to make him look like he's driving it and with only two Arms Change lock seeds - both of which SUCK - he's probably the most boring fighter in the show too. He reminds me a lot of Renji from Bleach, how as soon as he stopped being the rival for the hero he just spent the rest of the manga being kicked around the floor. For such a large cast, there honestly is surprising amount of baggage of characters which were never really that important and are now almost completely forgotten. I mean remember how the Butcher said Gridon was the best Rider? I forgot he existed until the previews for next week. Admittedly the new villains are well designed, but this shows action does nothing for me, so I got more out of the Green Overlord than I did the Red one. It wasn't bad, just boring, but as the charts don't account for that I just voted for the lowest option on the poll. |

I like the show's action, but this episode's fight sucked.
There was no good dialogue this episode, and the new villains aren't mysterious. They're just canned enigmatic "coo-guys' who are SO TOTALLY UNPREDICTABLE AND BADASS NOT-TO-BE-MESSED-WITH because they're "bored" and view fighting as entertainment. What savages. :rolleyes Not "we want to consume your world to sustain ours" not "we need to take over your world to return us to normal" just "we're bored, want toy." UGH. |

 1. Micchy love interest, and the very trigger to have him definitely go after Kouta 2. Mai blonde doppelganger. 3. The sacred tree and the family of priests. It's more important to have her around for plot sake, than lets' say Gridon or Bravo, even if it's absolutely fun (and necessary) to have them for comedy. |

Maybe if Sagara IS from the current world Helheim has taken over, this is why he's so impressed with Kouta for having a reason to fight that isn't selfish. |

As much as I like the idea of a completely alien language (although thanks for sharing the translation VictoriousImagin!), those scenes are INCREDIBLY frustrating to watch. This show has enough mystery to it without adding whole sections when you can't even grasp context! :lol
But man, I REALLY hope Micchy gets what's coming to him soon. I've had enough of his smug sliminess now. |

If nothing else, so we don't have to suffer his awful dress sense any longer.
	 |

If you're referring to the sweaters, they are leaps and bounds better then that really shitty looking dance team attire he has.
	 |

True that actually, the Gaim "uniform" looks like scraps of left over material in the prop department got stitched together in vague clothing shapes.

I know y'all keep saying you want him to die, but I really don't think Micchy is going to die until he out and out betrays someone at least once. Up untill now all he's really done is play all the angles and try to be on everyone's good side. The closest he's come to actual betrayal is siccing a really weak invess on Kouta so that Sid could escape.
If Micchy dies, I think it's gonna be after he chooses a side to stick with. Then he'd die in a climactic fight with Kouta or Takatora ( if he picks team Ryouma); or fighting an Energy Rider/Baron to protect Kouta or Takatora (If he sides with one of them). And all that's assuming the sides stay as they are. If, say, Kouta convinces Takatora that Ryouma is lying to him and that there is a way to actually stop Helheim, I could totally see those two teaming up and Micchy joining them. |

 DJ Sagara... what are you?
Another good episode. Not great, not amazing, but just good. Felt very much like Kuuga, not just with the overlords but with Jinba Peach's super sense and the way it was shot. And Jinba Peach has super sense powers because... women are sensitive? I don't know, I never found the correlation from Energy lockseed type to Jinba power to make any sense. Is it just me, or did I find it just awkward when Kaito was spitting out his life philosophy to Mai? I mean, its super dramatic and we learn a bit more about him from it, but that sounded like something you say to another Rider, no just some normal person. It made Kaito sound a little crazy. I like the Grongi vibe the Overlords are giving, even to the cyclic language. Redyue reminds me of those Grongi that wore jewelry that could turn into weapons. Deemushu reminds me of the more physically buff and brutal ones like the Bull and Kabuto Grongi. So the reason why they're fucking around with shit is because they're bored.?Gonna call bullshit on that one, I think there's gonna be a more insane reason why they're doing this. |

Wow, these Overlords aren't just outclases Baron, they were smacking around Gaim too. Glad to see their language code was cracked because I was really curious about what Demushu and Redue were saying. And DJ Sagara seems to be an Overlord as well going by those translations. Gaim tests out Jimba Peach in typical Kouta fashion and learns that it has...super hearing? Telepathy? Well, I suppose it will be cleared up soon enough. Speaking of Jimba, Ryouma has put Sid and Minato back in the game by giving them new Lockseeds to use. Glad to see that happened because I liked Sigurd and Malika's designs.
Edit: The Sid Lockseed. I was surprised to see it used finally. Wonder if it can control other Lockseeds remotely, and not just the vehicle ones. |

If we follow the usual symbolism in Japan, would the Overlords be Adam and Eve? Which would make Sagara Who was definately that guy in the robes the snake? Mnph.
I loved this episode. I think I now Kouta's plan but it seems a little more naive than his usual plans. He wants to ask the Overlords to stop the invasion. .. And he thought that'd work. The only real letdown was the S Lock that Sid's been carrying all season. They built this thing up as his ultimate weapon and that's all it does? I was hoping for a new armor or a new weapon or something. Not some connecting thing. |
