But i have notice that the red ranger has stoped seeing in to the future. |

It's Kiva. SMF is our Kiva. |
That is what I, amongst others, have said all along. The reason Super/Megaforce fails so utterly is because it's literally a pile of nothingness. We have no characters, we have no plot. It's just footage smashed together with people shouting over the top of it. I'm not even oversimplifying it, I couldn't tell you a SINGLE thing about Megaforce that wouldn't involve me talking about the sentai footage.
Super Megaforce at least has some semblance of purpose, maybe even a shred of plot here and there but as much as it's "cool" to shit on Samurai or Operation Overdrive or whatever they at least succeeded in the most basic elements of coherent storytelling. This is just a powerpoint slideshow. |
So, is it up on youtube or dailymotion yet?
|
It'll be up on Hulu tomorrow. Does it get put up other places sooner?

I really do love these episodes, and I personally believe they're the best the show (currently) has to offer. Though, that's not saying much since Saban decided it was cool to take a hiatus after this episode...one they REALLY don't deserve.
But I do have two gripes with this two parter. The exclusion of at least three sixth ranger transformation scenes. (Though, the one we missed out on in episode one was replaced by the Lost Galaxy footage, so I forgive it, but not the lack of the Zeo Gold and All Silver transformations.) And "Q-Rex Megazord"...Really? The Quantum Ranger key only influences the robot with the drill mode (or at least, that's how it worked with Timefire in Gokaiger). The other modes were made as a homage to the Dragonzord and the Thundersaurus Megazord. But even then, the head of the humanoid robot looks more like the original Megazord. Even the uncreative "Dino Megazord" is more fitting for this. (And side note: Kudos for using the right opening theme during the finisher, Saban) Ah well, those two things aside, I did love these episodes and eagerly await the return of the show to see more of Orion and the others. |
I find it weird as well, because the toyline is so oversatured with MMPR and yet the show seems to be sidestepping some of the biggest Zyuranger parts of Gokaiger (and there really weren't many) I mean I'm not complaining but it just seems odd that MMPR is all over the toyline and yet firmly kept away from the show.

I wonder why they keep missing out with the MMPR references and what not... |

The editing Choices have been terrible, bizarre, and puzzling to say the least. But the ignorance of Zyuranger footage is a huge missed opportunity on Saban's part here. True there's only maybe 2 or 3 instances of Gokaiger footage which features the 5 core Zyurangers together at any given time. But why not use it?

Yeah, it's just really strange. They used SPD a LOT in the earlier episodes, Jungle Fury got one of the better episodes of the season, and one of the first Legendary transformations was Mystic Force. It seems they do oddly care more about Disney in this show than their own shows.
And why would they constantly exclude their most marketable rangers? Everybody loves the sixth rangers and to see them cut so often, especially ones like the original Green Ranger, Dino Thunder's White Ranger and Zeo Gold is just weird. |

Oh yeah, I just realized that now the same joke people made about the frequent use of SPD in the early episodes can apply to Lost Galaxy now.
I mean, the Rangers didn't use the "Legendary Ranger Mode Blitz" after their defeat using the MMPR powers, they changed into the Lost Galaxy Rangers. And they replaced transformations into popular sixth rangers in the first episode of the two parter with Lost Galaxy. Saban must really love that season. :lol |

an entertaining one to say the least. enjoyed seeing Orion get dragged around by the girls and getting his look being made. I also loved seeing how Jake reacted to all of it. I know there will be no explanation for it being called Q-Rex and such, but I like to think in the year 3000-something the time force rangers modified the original Q-Rex into this one. I would love for them to expand on the 6th rangers talking to Orion.

I feel like with each new episode, things are being dumbed down further and further. The dialogue was practically laughable.
- They had two episodes to build up Orion's character and backstory, but they literally summed it up in 4 minutes. wow. How are we supposed to empathize with him if in literally seconds it goes from, oh I worked in a quarry, to oh no my people are gone, welp better use my morpher and skip right to the next scene of me building a....hut..I guess instead of oh I don't know, instead of fighting and trying to save people... -Once he held morpher and ranger key together, they emitted a strange energy? But weren't they together to begin with? Why didn't they emit anything strange then? -Why did Orion make a Darth Vader impression when his people were under attack? Also, did his people not have any self defense forces? You would think a civilization that has built cities would have weapons of their own... -So Orion says he was alone, well I guess Blitz New Powers, Star Force and Boots weren't in Orion's planet then... -He just HAPPENED to find a morpher in a giant rock days before the armada invasion. -How did the morpher get inside said giant rock? Why was it separated from the rest of the ranger morphers and powerrs etc. "There's a perfectly logical explanation for that...." -Orion sounded like such a child when he said "I did it!" When he morphed into the gold ranger and Troy sounded so condescending and sarcastic when he said "nice". It makes it even more hilarious because the gokaiger footage just has the rangers ignoring the 6th ranger's morph. XD -Would it kill the writers to be consistent? Would it have killed them to have Orion yell out "Gold Power?" 3/10 I feel like this is turning more into a show for 5 year olds...oh wait.. |

Jeez. |
I just finished watching RPM two days ago and now feel like my expectations are WAY TOO HIGH. I learned my lesson and will now lower them appropriately.
|
And now it's Overthinking Stuff Time!!!
Ok. I feel like the entire Power Rangers continuity got messed up. Ok, so RPM is in a different dimension, and yet they have Jungle Karma Pizza. Also, Mac's helmet appeared in an episode of RPM. Also, Clash of the Red Rangers taking place after RPM Rangers got the Paleomax Zords, as that was the engine cell that Scott was using in the "team-up" AND because he was using the RPM Ultrazord to battle Professor Cog. But all the Paleomax Zords were "deleted" by Venjix at the end of RPM. And the Rangers gave up their morphers at the end as well and Venjix was trapped inside of Red's morpher. This would place Clash of the Red Rangers before the end of RPM. This would also make RPM and Samurai take place at the same time. But Professor Cog appears in Super Megaforce, and the Grinders (which I thought would be gone with Venjix) appear as well (see the opening to Super Megaforce. Emma is fighting some Grinders). Also, one could say that Samurai and Megaforce are the alternate dimension, (which would explain why Casey disappeared at the end of the Jungle Fury tribute episode). But other Rangers from past seasons appear at the end of Super Megaforce and..... Great.... now my brain is fried. |
Advice guys, NEVER HAVE HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR A KID'S SHOW THAT IS A CHASH COW DUE TO IT'S TARGET AUDIENCE BEING IN THE USA EVEN IF TOEI ARE THE PEOPLE GIVING THE SAY IN WHAT IS & ISN'T IN SAID SHOW :lol.

-The rangers didn't give up their morphers because Venjix was trapped in the morphers. They just gave up their morphers without really explaining why. In the last scene it was then implied that Venjix is inside the red ranger's morpher. -Venjix wasn't a general, he's just Venjix. -They're called grinders, not cogs. -The grinders exist because the movie takes place before Venjix is defeated. -Yes both Samurai and RPM take place at the same time, just in different realities. -It hasn't been revealed that Venjix appears in Super Megaforce and it wouldn't make sense for him to do so. -The reason Emma is fighting grinders is because in a later episode The SM rangers go to the RPM universe because they pick up a signal from Corinth, but it's just a ruse from Professor Cog. |

EDIT: I am just terrible tonight. I meant Professor Cog. I fixed the paragraph I wrote... :lol |
I'm hating this episode even more and more. If you sit back and think about what's going on in the episode, everything falls apart because it doesn't make sense. Everything else was actually fine though, with all its' flaws. What bothers me so much more is Orion's half-assed backstory.
-Ignoring the fact that he downed a spacecraft with nothing more than a rock the size of his fist with a slingshot -__-, he said that he spent MONTHS repairing it. MONTHS....he shot a ROCK at it!! How could it be so extensively damaged that it would require months to repair!!?? -Where did he get the parts to repair the ship?? -It's not explained, but if you reasoned that he went around scavenging for parts.....Why didn't he spend that time LOOKING FOR SURVIVORS? Did he seriously just look from miles away, scream out "NO" and then assume that everybody was dead??! -He never once went to a city or town or village to look for people??! Not once? Did he not have anybody to care for?? Parents, siblings, a wife, a husband, at least friends! Nobody? -He swore revenge on the Armada, but in the months between him getting the 6th ranger powers and him leaving to Earth, all he did was fish, build a hut, train with a long stick and repair a ship. That's it. -Why did he decide to repair the ship? What purpose would repairing the ship had done had he not crash landed on Earth? Did the writers actually think things through or did they just come up with random ideas and shoved them all together? Edit: I just had a theory, maybe Toei is doing all of this on purpose to make the Super Sentai look better by comparison. Either that or they think Western Audiences are flat out stupid. |
I enjoyed it. It was well done in my opinion, and the whole thing made sense. All he knows is his remote village near a quarry. If a whole invasion strikes, decimating your village, you assume you're the only one left. And Orion is far more attractive with short hair than long. Almost looks like a young NPH.
Also, they missed a great joke/reference chance. They should have had him try on Gai's outfit when picking out clothes. |
I've come to the sense that while I still love this show, its a pure failure. When doing a show that's aimed at fans(and yes anything adapted from gokaiger is aimed at fans as much as kids) a certain amount of explanation is needed. Why did 3000 send the qrex back to orion? You need to tell us, even if your explanation is half baked(like so many other things) you have to at least TRY.
wtf are the keys and why should I use them? what makes the mmpr, lost galaxy, or overdrive suits so legendary ane powerful for example? is it because they're essentially layering on a 3rd morph power on top of themselves? |

You can scream 'never have high expectations' until youre blue in the face, we ALL know this is a kids show aimed at children of a young age, the insane appeal to people on the autistic spectrum is also striking (ive worked with several kids who literally devour the franchise like a crack addiction) so they will never put any effort into coherant, logical storytelling because quite honestly, they dont need to. Stupid works, kids treat the story as a bridge between fights, but fanboys will never stop trying to make sense of what actually cant be made sense of. I wish people would stop trying to make logical sense of the continuity or the actual show, I think its an appalling waste of time and effort. Also, the target audience is not just the USA, its western audiences. Sorry, but I always take a bit of an issue when people discount the rest of the world in discussions like this. THAT BEING SAID! I hate this show, the acting is shit, the storylines are paper thin and the dialogue is laughable, but this episode i kind of enjoyed. No the plot doesnt make much sense, i think their attempts to make the show fit the footage is struggling, but the sci-fi flashbacks were a cool inclusion, the shopping/haircut scenes were kind of fun and Orion seems to be capable of acting. Azim is no longer alone, theres now 2 capable actors on the cast!!! Even if most of his acting is emoting. While Im WAY past the point of being able to truly enjoy a Power Rangers series, I honestly didnt mind this one. Theres only about 12 episodes left and I cant say I will watch them all, but I will give it a go. To me its like looking at the Trasformers Age of Extinction Dino Sparkers subline. Most fanboys will get all butthurt and tear it to pieces in all their colourful ways, moaning about hasbro screwing them yet again. I will look at it, see the big letters saying 'Ages 4+' and say "Well im close to 3 decades out of the target audience for this, its not my bag but its not a bad idea for the little ones'. |

I'm just gonna see if i can find the full episode, all i've been able to find is short clips. |
If you find the full episode, do share, my internet isn't good enough for torrents so I rely on direct downloads or torrents.

Woah, no kidding on the lack of detail on the Zords. "They keys are glowing! Tell the Rangers" "Here, Orion, now you have your own Megazord!" "Summon Time Force Q-Rex Zord!"
They even had Troy give Oron the Quantum, MMPR Green and DT White Keys with absolutely no implication on why he needs those specific keys. He just uses them to transform without even pointing out what he's using or why. |

I do like that they explained how Orion got his powers. No, we don't really know why the key and morpher were on his planet... But how he got them at least was answered.
But uh.. he hijacked a ship to Earth with a... slingshot?! Hahahahahaha nope ruined it there. Well that jacket isn't tacky as hell or anything. Where the hell did the gold Samurai key come from? Since when did they have that?! Should never have cut Basco... Oh, now all of the keys are there? They most definitely were not in the command center before. They just clearly weren't. This is implying they had them all along and just never touched them, but they really didn't. How did Troy know which keys to give...? How did any of them know about the Q-Rex already? Nevermind the fact that Gozyujin still clearly isn't the Q-Rex. ---- Part 1 remains the best episode of the season in my opinion. This episode started strong with a backstory I was liking (until the end of it), but then continuity gaffs kind of soiled it for me. |
Just finished watching both parts and it was a decent episode. So essentially he gets Ahim's back story combined with Oliver Queen? That was pretty good, but then it seems like the writers just got lazy and everything was dumbed down. Trollsei just has Troy give Orion the Q-rex? Even how he got his powers was just glossed over. It also didn't make sense to cut the Zeo Gold morph. It was good joke in Gokaiger and it would still work over here.

Ok watched the episode snd this explain why they did not use the gokaigers 6th ranger change in the first part, it due to he di not know how to do it and I like the fact that he they used GAO gokai change to Shinken gold as his first legendary change after the other showed him. All in all I enjoyed the episode both parts and evry thing about I liked.
