At least Triumphant instantly gets across the name and purpose. "Zenith" is just confusing and difficult.
Honestly, Aesir's constantly translating proper nouns has led to nothing but confusion and headaches. Mostly because you don't translate proper nouns. "Ultimate Arms" would've been better. Hell, Extreme arms would've been better. "Zenith" isn't even a translation for "Kiwami." |

Kiwami means "Extreme/Extremity" so I don't know why they'd do that. |
I keep reading 'triumphant' and 'triumph' as 'Trumpet'. Thanks dyslexia!
|
Or they could just bloody realize that NAMES ARE JUST NAMES and shouldn't be translated.
|
My love for Baron/Kaito just sky rocketed 20x now.
|
.............Wow. Just....wow.
|
With Lock Dealer Sid out of the picture. I predict that Yoko Minato will not helping Ryoma anymore because the plot of Episode 33 says that The New Generation rider are not together anymore. Is it me or Yoko start to like Kaito? Who is the next rider to die? Because Ryoji Hase and Sid are DEAD!
|
that was a pretty brutal death scene there didnt really expect that at all.
and hoo boy Kiwami Arms has got to be one of the ugliest Rider suits ever created, Gaim has had great designs (ryugen & marika aside) but that suit doesn't fit in at all |
DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! First the finale of Chicago PD and this? Wow. Cant wait for next week! KIWAMI!
|
Wow, that was some Agito-tier brutality in Sid's death. It's been a long damn time since Rider has been this gruesome.
Welcome back, horrible deaths. I've missed you, buddy. :D Good episode. I really think we're starting to see some of the characters move into the final phases of their development with stuff like Kaito coming to realize that he needs to work with Kouta. There are still some wild cards, though, that still could end up on either side of this fight (I'm mostly thinking Yoko here - she seemed to show some hesitation at sending wave after wave of Kurokages to their deaths; is it possible she may betray Ryouma?). Anyway, next week looks awesome with Marika, Bravo, Baron, Gridon, and Knuckle all teaming up together. Not liking the looks of Kiwami Arms, though. I'd hoped it would continue the aesthetic direction of Orange and Kachidoki, not Rainbow Sherbet. |
HOLY SHIT SID.
This was a really great episode, it painted Kouta in an even better light. I may have wavered on him in the past but when I think about him over the course of the whole series, he probably is my favourite main Rider in the franchise. The real highlights though were around the Overlord's. I never much cared for them, if I'll be honest, but this episode really highlighted their individual strengths by playing them in contrast to one another. Highlight moment for me though was Demushu's rampage - especially for a show with usually such weak action - I loved the little touches to make it feel like it was happening in a real city with actual collateral. You don't normally get that in toku, all the action feels like it's in a bubble normally. |
This was totally awesome, the death was okay in this, completely Mortal Kombat-like brutal here though. Roshuo is not to be messed with. Kouta and Kaito fighting together was awesome. Ryouma basically has the system from The Dark Knight which is very helpful for a Mad Scientist. Yoko needs to realize she is working for a nut case and betray him. I loved Kouta scene with Kaito close towards the end that was brilliant. I totally fucking loved Kaito and Zack's double henshin at the end, I hated that it ended there lol.
I can't wait for Baron, Knuckle, Bravo, Gridon, and Marika fighting together next week. That looks exciting. |
Wait guys Deemushu has some horns near his cloak in the next episode, did that ever happen before?

I hope that this helps any one who doesn't like Kiwami arms. Also the name Zenith is quite apt as not only does it mean high point but it is often used to describe some one at the hight of power, sadly it makes me want a Nadir arms for Ryugan. |

It could be the literal translation for "Kiwami," and it'd still sound stupid. A word chosen for it's cool sound in one language doesn't automatically translate to another. Likewise a cool English word could very well result in a stupid Japanese word. That's why the languages are different. Hell, Aesir apparently didn't think the Rider names needed to be translated. They don't call Gaim "Armoured Warrior." Or Ryugen "Mystery Dragon." So why they bend over backwards and create confusion with Lockseed names, I don't get. It's just inconsistency. As much as I hate TV-Nihon's "leave half the show in japanese" at least they have some kind of pattern for leaving honourifics, proper nouns, and repeated phrases untranslated consistently. Aesir just seems like it's changing some of the names to be different. |
I AM CALLING IT THE GIRL ON THE TOMB IS FUTURE MAI!
Anyways Sid is gone and deserves to be, Yoko will betray and isn't like three weeks after Kiwami Gaim's supposed to end? |

Also, added a bunch of spoiler tags, the Sub just came out yesterday, give it some time people, while we all should watch it right away, not everyone can. |

Wow, Sid's death was unexpectedly violent! He totally had it coming, but still, I'm going to miss the crazy bastard. :(
Looks like Yoko might be questioning her loyalties finally, it'll be interesting to see if she fully changes sides or ultimately stays with Ryouma. Excited to see Kiwami next week too, I'm not as impressed with the design as I was with Kachidoki but maybe it'll be better in action. |

Haven't seen the subs yet but how does Kouta get the Salad/Kiwami lockseed?

I know I'm pretty lonely on this one but for me Gaim has way too many Riders. For me I'd always prefer a fully developed duo over a bunch of half formed Riders and some fatty ones for good measure. Minus Kouta I can't think of another Rider in this show I properly feel like I "get". There are others we know lots about but the why is usually left vague and that is the most important part. Maybe it's coming in the future, but it feels like Gaim is shifting into high gear for the climax already so maybe not. |
Man, Kiwami arms look like ass. =/
|
….damn, was not expecting that…what brutal way to go.
A little disappointed to see Sid go, he always seemed like the underdog of the series. I was really hoping he would be the one to kill off Miichi, a little dissapointed that won't happen now |
Wow, Sid was always bold, and some may call his last act stupid, but I can definitely say you can't get any boulder than attacking the King of a race of Powerful Monsters head on.

So was Ryouma's actor on vacation for this episode? Seemed really odd that he was transformed that whole time completely away from any fight.

Well, after what Sid did to Hase, I think it was only fitting that he met a similar end
|
At the start of Gaim I kept saying it was JUICY!, who knew all this time that Juice was really Blood.

In an otherwise very well realised story, and world, having such unclear motivations for pretty much the whole cast minus the main Rider for the sake of characters flip flopping ideology which doesn't break their character as they don't actually have one is just really cheap. |
I would've preferred having Sid get smacked around with a sword and then get owned like normal.
