So this is now E3 general.
So far from Microsoft that I care about: Evolve looks interesting. Assassin's Creed: Unity... *sigh* Why are they shoehorning multiplayer into the campaign? Why is that a thing now? I like solid singleplayer campaign experiences. I sure as hell hope you don't have to depend on others and that it's still possible to play alone. And even then, that it's not random pairing because that's sure to lead to many, many pissed off people (myself no doubt being included). Of course that brings us to Fable: Legends where I'm surprisingly not as skeptical of the co-op... Probably because this game seems like it would work better with it [what with not having to be stealthy and sneak about, which a single person could ruin for everyone else in AC]. Ori and the Blind Forest looks exactly like Dust, which I ended up enjoying quite a lot. So I'm definitely interested in finding out more about this. I wish we were just getting a Halo 2 Anniversary since it's the only one I have yet to play, but looks like I'll be getting the 'Master Chief Collection" instead... Aaaand scratch that, the Halo 2 part will be an Anniversary edition with its original multiplayer!! In fact, all four have their own unique multiplayers with dedicated servers to each. That's insane. And 4000 Gamerscore??? Holy FUCKING SHIT that's gonna kill me. Getting all those again. ;_; And it'll include the tv series, now titled Nightfall... As well as Halo 5 beta invite. Goddamn I need to know how much this will cost. Edit: Apparently "just the price of a normal game." So $60 for all of it. Yeah okay I'll bite. Argh, a new Tomb Raider? I still need to play the last one... Been wanting to since it came out but just haven't for some reason. Now I really need to before the next one. |
Capcom just parodied themselves... Is it wrong that i want an XBone just for this?
|
That was...meh. All it did was confirm that while the system has cool games, you can play them on other consoles, and they make exclusives seem like the utter shit. The only thing that is an exclusive I can dig is the Dead Rising DLC and Conker being in Project Spark. Outside of that, everything was boring and what was cool is going to be on PS4.

Well for a MS conference that was not bad, not bad at all. I give them a nice B+. Phil Spencer had a great opening bit and the man is far more fan friendly than Don. Still a heavy focus on FPS, but they had a nice variety in the later half of the conference and they did show some really impressive games. Sunset Overdrive, Tomb Raider 2, and Inside being the best of the show. Nevertheless, MS really did bring their A game and finally figured out where their focus should be. They could have used some new info on Quantum Break though. Not a bad start and I really hope both Nintendo and Sony can be just as good, if not better.

I was only interested in these other systems because KH3 ain't coming to Wii U, but Project spark and that Capcom actually made me legitimately interested in the system.

---- Well, Ubisoft didn't really explain jack about the co-op in AC: Unity during their conference... Maybe something will be said at a booth and show up in some news article, so I'll get to reading them tomorrow after all the conferences are done. |
I give EA's conference a D-. They started off with a nice Star Wars video and then dropped the ball with boredom and showed absolutely nothing new with Mirror's Edge 2. Lame, very lame. Oh, and they had what, three new IPs?
Man, this has to be one of the weakest Ubisoft conferences in years. What happened? MS had a strong conference and Ubisoft had a weak one. Wow. Far Cry 4 looks amazing and my god, I want to climb Chartres Cathedral in Assassin's Creed Unity, but for the most part, this conference was mediocre at best. Yes, there were too many FMV trailers instead of gameplay trailers, but that is just the nature of the beast. My biggest issue though is too much multiplayer focus over single player focus. Anyway, hopefully we will see FC4 gameplay during the Sony conference. Overall, I give Ubisoft a B-. |
Ubisoft just won E3 in my opinion. The only thing that could steal that title from them is if Sony just kills it tonight. But as far as I'm concerned, it's gonna be hard to do so.

They also swore a lot :lol
Rainbow Six looks interesting enough, and I'm keeping my eye on The Crew, but so far it doesn't seem like it doesn't do enough to set itself apart from the likes of Need For Speed. |
