In terms of the MOTW Overlord thing, I agree with you there. So far though, I haven't seen any other overlords in scans (though maybe I just missed some) so hopefully no more will show up. For the invess not attacking people normally, I think they can't really think for themselves but an Overlord can control them and make them do what they want. |
Oh Roshou, you couldn't have just let one missile slide? Also while still disturbing I predicted the "fuel" Redyue needed the second he mentioned it. I did think the scene of her declaring war was great, as well as her knowing what we would do.

If shin zangestu and OG melon Zengatusu dont fight each other mitchy vs Bro Ill eat a hat.

Pretty intense episode man.... That whole making the missiles disappears things was "wow", I thought you guys jsut meant like he controls it and points them at the sky and let them explode type of deal, but just letting it vanish into thin air.. ho damn.
|
Roshuo is possibly the most powerful KR boss we've ever seen in the entire history of the series. I mean, he made missiles disappear without even needing a reason. It was such a, oh look, just some things flying our way, need to flick them away moment. Given that he actually couldn't care less about the human race, he didn't even need to do that... but he just did.
Anyway I was wondering if Redyue's official gender is a reference to her gender before she became an Invess, and subsequently an Overlord. |

I remember, when this first started, how I said I loved Micchy. Then he turned into a genocidal fratricidal little dweeb in need of a good, solid, ass-kicking. Kouta needs to decide what he wants to do already. He keeps going back and forth between strong leader and insecure teenager. Which makes sense, considering he is only.. what? 19-20? And so much was put on his shoulders. I really enjoyed watching Minato put Micchy in his place though. Then I'd enjoy watching her do almost anything, to be honest. The missile attack was something I thought would've happened sooner, soon as every government learned about what happened in Zawame and what Yggdrasil was planning. They needed televised confirmation shit was hitting fans? Zenith. I both love it and have a problem with it. I love he can call on every weapon used by any Beat and Energy Rider. But I wish he also had his own unique Zenith Arms weapon of some sort. I don't know what exactly, but something other than Triumphant's DJ Cannon. I'm looking forward to next week's though. Looks like my best chance to see Micchy his narrow-ass handed to him. |
I like that Roshuo didn't see it fit to take out that big-ass sword on Sid. He finally uses it in this ep, but for the more appropriate purpose of erasing a volley of WMDs.

Although it took a long while to get there, this was some of the strongest Gaim action we've had. Kouta has come so far as a fighter, and I really enjoyed the intensity of the fight - well until he got to Zenith, where it became a lot easier but come on Zenith is cool as hell. I even enjoyed the Overlord of the week, as he was a force of nature and we don't have a lot of fighters in this show that are just brute force. Then there was the surprisingly wonderful combination of Jonouchi and Oren with the Watermelon arms :lol
It's just a shame what should have been an epic moment, with the missiles, was captured with laughably bad CG that it had no emotional resonance at all. Although Rosshu is badass no matter the effects. Overall I voted good as the episode did drag in places - especially at the start - and that missile scene was awful. But I enjoyed the episode, overall, a lot more than expected as I'm not one to complain when the show slows down to revel in Micchy's suffering and the action was great. |
Y'know something occured to me.
Takatora's been stuck in Helheim all this time, I doubt they have working showers there so… He must stink worse than rotting melon right now. |
another great episode. I'm continuing to love the Armored Riders as resistance movement storyline we have going on, especially with all of the scenes of them interacting out of suit. I also like that Peco and the nameless girls from Team Gaim are still there, too. The show is still doing a good job of keeping up with all of its early characters.
I really enjoyed seeing the B-Team of Bravo, Gridon, and Knuckle working together, even if the stuff with Watermelon Gridon was kinda silly. Still, it was easily the best choreographed fight in the episode, as the one with Gaim and Baron was pretty mediocre. Also, am I the only one who's waiting for a scene where the Invess are rampaging around and the juice bar waitress is just sitting there tweeting stuff and ignoring them? |

First of my major what the heck? of the episode is Reduye is a girl, that just kinda caught me off guard for some reason, always thought the character was a dude. Also damn Marika just completely verbally owned Micchy in their little conversation. Looking forward to seeing where it goes from here especially seeing how powerful Roshou is, CGI might not have been that great but dang that's some power he has to be able to do that. Gets the point across of the fruit really basically making someone a god. Overall excellent episode.

I do love that even though they're on the same side now, Kouta still hasn't bothered to learn Bravo's name. He's just "Charmant Guy." :D

So scans are due out soon for new episodes. Here's the rumors floating around now, which pertain to the next episode and the few following it:
- Zangetsu and Zangetsu Shin fight, and Takatora defeats Mitsuzane, destroying the Genesis Driver and taking the Melon Energy Lockseed, thus ending the Zangetsu Shin suit reign. - Zangetsu uses the core attachment piece from Gaim to become Zangetsu Jimber Melon Arms, with the power to duplicate himself. He, along with Kiwami Gaim and Lemon Baron fight and take down Redyue. - The next-to-final battle has Gaim fighting Ryugen while Marika and Baron fight Duke, ending with a possible Zangetsu vs Duke showdown I'm more excited that we'll get one last good Arms Change and the fact that it's Zangetsu! |

I'm hoping Zangetsu finally uses one finisher in his fight with Z Shin. Maybe his Au Lait has a defensive function which allows him to repel even the finishers of Genesis drivers.
...Maybe only in my fantasies, but a guy can dream right. lol |

For once I'm not a week behind! Is this what's it's like to live in the world of being caught up on Gaim? It feels nice :lol.
The biggest shocker in this whole episode is that Redue is a woman :lol. Seriously didn't see that coming with the voice actor who voices her(then again, he was also Fire Emblem...hmmm). Loving that Mitchy's comfort zone was taken away from him. That little bastard doesn't deserve a home. People being abducted for fuel makes me wonder how exactly humans are fuel. As for the extraction method, the episode preview showed it clearly. The Misadventures of the Dangerous Fruit and Nuts was a riot. Best use of Melon Arms to date :lolol. And Roshuo is pretty powerful, freezing those missiles and then erasing them from existence. The Armored Riders have a long way to go before they'd be able to take on someone who can manipulate reality like that. Hyped for next week because the Fake Shin Zangetsu charade will finally be over and hopefully Mitchy will get his ass handed to him on a platter. Edit: Minato's verbal bitch slapping of Mitchy was fantastic. She continues to get better now that the ties to Yggdrasil are cut. |
Micchy cackling about making a new home after the end... That mad dog bastard needs to put down, and it looks like that will come in the next few episodes!
