First Gaim episode in a while to deserve an "Excellent."
Even though Kouta's not dead, as is visible in the preview. And Mai didn't really die. But still, good shit. |
If anyone was following me on twitter when the live stream happened well you know how I felt. For anyone who didn't see that.
Holy. Hell. Absolutely positively blown away by the events of this episode. Absolutely excellent. People can say the show is overpraised all they want. This particular episode delivered by the truck load. |
So Ryoma's dead. Holy shit.
And thank god Kouta's not dead. |
So who's Kamen Rider Jam now? Or will Ryoma survive?
|
Oh boy, will Oren and Jounochi be safe? Sucks for them to be killed after surviving an Inves horde.
|
Am I the only one who found this part a bit funny
http://i1362.photobucket.com/albums/...ps718be49f.png Ryoma seems well aware how screwed he is |
Holy shi-
This episode was FREAKING INTENSE! Mitchi killing Kouta and that whole scene was so heartbreaking. Loved it. And Ryoma killed Mai! :O Mitchi's breakdown was actually kind of sad. Woman of the Beginning scene could have been done better. Only complaint. Lord Baron is freaking epic. And Ryoma got what he deserved. Can't wait for next week!!!! |
it seems that it paves the way for mitchy to become good again, this episode, surely is totally out of expectation. We know people are gonna die in this episode, but it turns out that the one that should be dead is not, those that shouldn't are gone. Though there is going to be the revive stuff from ryuki but it feels more reasonable
|
Wait? Did Kouta die?

And I don’t buy that Ryoma is dead, remember Takatora? Technically there’s no way he could have survived his fall too. And that Ryoma doesn’t have his Genesis Driver and lockseed anymore is a perfect opportunity to don a Sengoku Driver with a new lockseed. Since he can't possibly defeat an Overlord with Lemon Energy (Neither Kouta nor Kaito) he will seek out this prototype-tech that he used for Yomutsu Heguri and make sweet, delicious jam. I loved this episode btw., very good. I didn’t expect Misuzane to survive, and since his Genesis Driver is destroyed we might see the normal Ryugen appear once more. That’s a part I really liked, I always wondered why Ryoma wasn’t so smart to add a remote destruction-switch to the Drivers, but he was, just waited for the right moment to use it. Only thing I didn’t like was that Yomutsu Heguri is gone already. I wanted to see more of it. But since Jam seems to utilize similar tech, we might still hear or final villain explain more about it. I can't wait to see more of Overlord-Baron, seems like he will go on a rampage next week. The scene in the preview where the Inves bow before him looks epic. |

But if Ryoma is dead, who could be Jam now? Its not Kaito, and I don’t think its Kouta. Mitsuzane? Nah, they could just let him have Yomutsu Heguri for a power up. That only really leaves Sagara for an option, but him turning into a rider... I wouldn’t really like that. |
So ummm....who's gonna be Kamen Rider Jam now?
Also, let's be honest, at the beginning of the series, who would've thought Yoko would outlive the other 3 Yggdrasil Riders? |
I like the fact that Lord Baron went full-on Deemushu on this episode.
But really, the questions that I have in my mind are: Who's Armored Rider Jam? How will Kouta survive? Will Micchy turn back good? Will Yoko Minato live? |

Holy God. That was not how I saw Micchy v Kouta ending, but that is totally something Kouta would do. Sacrifice himself to save his friend's soul. I also didn't see Ryouma dying either. Which sort of blows him out of the being Kamen Rider Jam, doesn't it? But then this show has a way of doing it's own thing, so who knows.
I don't care how good Drive might be when it airs, it's going to take a miracle for anything to be this good again. |
Well I read that in some forum posts. On tokunation. I don't think I can dig them up though because I forgot which thread they are on.
Fair enough, Takatora doesn't have to come back for the sake of being a fan favourite. I was just wishing for more of that beautiful sengoku melon action... T.T Well... If Sagara is the forest itself, and he can create the techno-orange that became Kachidoki arms, then why not be Jam? |

Wow. Best episode yet. Karma came with a vengeance.
|
Jam is nobody, guys. Been saying it all along. He'll just be some random enemy in the "final" episode that introduces Drive.
Ryoma's definitely dead and boy what a way to go. The angle of that punch doesn't make a lick of sense... But the damage it would cause, plus the fall? Almost enjoyed seeing it done to him. |

Heads up for the peeps that torrent Gaim from Aseir subs. Torrent for Gaim won't be available at least form ASeir since they use Nyaa.Se as their torrent site, and currently Nyaa.Se and many other torrent anime sites are being attacked and has been down since yesterday.

Despite the setback, subs are up on Aesir.

Holy crap! That was some episode there.
|
Woah, last week's preview is completely misleading. Also cool that we've got some Makdoa-ish time travel going on. Overlord Kaito is a beast and I actually didn't expect him to retain his mind but like Ryouma said that probably won't last. Still, figuarts now please.

So, yeah. Kouta's dead, Micchy's gone BSoD, and Kaito is a full-on Overlord. That all happened. And Mai tried but failed to travel back in time and undo it. I'm going to call something else now: we're getting, at least to some extent, a Ryuki ending. |

Calling it now. Everyone dies and Mai gets a new life due to the Golden Fruit but Sagara realizes what he's done and goes back in time so Mai never existed so Helheim wouldn't invade thus undoing the entire series. |

Predictions.
Kouta isn't dead (it's said in the text previews on Toei's site, he's simply unconscious because those other two dancers Pecko and Chucky or whatever who escaped the hospital find him and take him to the garage). Mai will then visit him as she did Micchy, but because he's unconscious AND an Overlord he'll be able to talk to her. She will see that Kaito is killing everyone (sorry, it's time for Bravo and Gridon to die) and tell Kouta just that - Kaito has obtained the power of an Overlord and is destroying our friends and our home. Kouta will then use his own Overlord powers to heal himself (like Roshuo did) and decide to stop Kaito. But upon seeing Jonouchi and Oren dead (and we'll say Zach too), Kouta realizes that he has to put Kaito down once and for all. AND THEN WE GET THE MOST EPIC BATTLE IN THE ENTIRE SERIES. Mai decides that since she can't change the past for her friends, she'll change it all by removing Sagura from the picture. He won't like that and will forcefully take back the Golden Fruit (since he made it and all). But Kouta will have evolved even more after battling Kaito and will be able to harm Sagura. So Sagura will use the Mai-infused Golden Apple to create the Jam Lock Seed and become Kamen Rider Jam. To destroy him is to destroy Mai as her essence is powering him. Micchy will arrive (we see an image of Kiwami and Ryugen suit actors next to Jam in one of the set leaks) and help Kouta only to freeze when he realizes that Sagura's power is that of Mai herself. In the end, Kouta will die destroying Sagura and give the power of the apple to Micchy, who will decide to use it to revert back to before Yggdrasill appeared and took down the tree and the shrine, and this time there will be no Sagura as he's gone. Micchy will become the "Man of the Beginning" and bring Mai back to life. Micchy will finish the series as the ultimate hero of the show, who had to be stripped of every single thing in his life before realizing what he needed to do, while Kouta is simply the catalyst that wakes Micchy up to this. BRILLIANT. |
I'm not sure if we should want Micchy to get a Musou Saber to the skull anymore.
He deserves it for being an evil little bastard, but the stuff coming up now... I don't know what to think... |
