That fluffiness the ending had sure made up for the last few weeks of sour depression after each episode. I'm glad that so many people actually did survive. And that they didn't forget Hase-chan :) I'm just really sorry for Mai and Kouta though...

I absolutely positively loved this episode. I commend Urobutchi on a truly bizarre and fun ending. Can't wait to see some Jam next week.
|
While I still find this episode lackluster in many ways, I have to give props to Urobuchi:
I tend to forget that the theme of this show was growing up. And through characters like Mitchi and Kouta we were able to see many different sides of it. So when Takatora wakes up at the end, we are told that their is still hope for anyone, no matter how worthless they think their life has become. It's a good, positive message. This would make a memorable final frame to the series but I still prefer having an extended epilogue. |
Kouta, King of the Fruits
God that outfit is terrible. And the hair! Who is he? Jesus Pendragon? Jam next ep. Still the best KR series in years. |
So what is the next episode exactly? This one felt like a series finale wrap up with a happy ending for the Kureshima brothers, but this next preview... Is it non-canon from the main series? Is it an in canon epilogue?
|
This was a good episode but personally the wrong rider won. BARON SHOULD HAVE FUCKING WON AGAINST GAIM!
|
Lol, I like all the fruits that came out of him when Kaito did that fatal slash. So funny. Like his rainbow coloured blood when Mitchi stabbed him.
If they don't start calling him Fruit King I will be disappointed. Also did they forget about Mai's ability to create Helheim fruits? Quote:

Anyone else think that they timed the release of this episode to counter the rather bleak ending in Aldnoah.Zero's season ending? Because this is damn near Disney happy ending in comparison to that.
|
So judging by the preview Micchy has become Simon fron Gurren Lagann and YAY~ Gridon time~
|
OH YEAH! Just watched this episode and it was epic!!
I heard rumors that Blonde-haired Mai is named Eve and White-haired Kouta is Adam, is this true? |

Without giving me spoilers, is this the last story episode of the series and next week's is like 52 and 53 of Wizard?

EDIT: Nevermind, Xtreme posted before I finished this reply. Not sure how I feel about that since Urobutchy is not the writer of it. The main writer should be the guy who does the final episode. |

Oh yeah worth it to wait for today!
To start things, Lord Baron fucking decimated Kiwami Arms's spamming ability and was too OP, guess what Kota did? He freaking broke the spear into two and stabbed Kaito with it! And then, anythimg from Helheim just flew into a huge ass crack to some planet (I assume Mars) , that scene was so amusing and funny. Fourze and the Kamen Rider Club can get the new Golden Fruit that was created on that planet :D Then everyone is happy (yay!), MelonBadass69 LIVES, oh yeah! Episode 47 is a direct continuation and that I am very glad as Jam is a huge mystery, and Kota are BFF with Mitsuzane and fought together like the good ol' days! Also Jounochi fights by himself! Everything is awesome! |

I'll see how next week goes first. But damn. The way the Kouta/Kaito battle ended... And if the big war at the beginning was essentially this final battle, where did the Kureshima forces fit in? |

... Youknow. In light of Takatora(batta) not being dead, it makes me doubt the death of Ryouma now... Could be me, but we still haven't got a solid reason for the Hell Fruit Arms and why Ryouma was scanning Kiwami. I fully subject myself to how wrong I might be, but I really do think he's got a good chance of returning as Jam for one last hurrah. |
This episode was a whole lotta "Whaaaaaaat?!" from me. Got dayum, those feels....I almost cried tears of joy at the ending.
And I'm glad they're doing the W approach to the last episode as well because I really hope the Gaim riders return in future crossovers. |
based on the preview, next episode is not a crossover one like wizard, it is a continuation of this episode and i think it will be about how the riders keep on protecting the world.
Well, back to this episode, i would say, for the fighting scene, i would say it is great though a bit short, but i think the later part of the episode remind me of the last one of kuuga, portraying how people continue to live on after the whole "disaster" ends. I think it is pretty nice, after all those betrayal and death, we surely need scenes like these to remind us that hopes are still there |

In a surprise twist, random Kurokage #37 is Dio!
No actually it's Gridon...nice touch. Nuts Rep! (look at the preview) |
Kouta looks like a final fantasy character in that outfit lol.

The rumor had some truths to it, a male counterpart to Future Mai, a golden lockseed (Kamen Rider Mars in the movie) but for the most part, it was falso. |
guys, u needa watch the subs when it is out, u will find what kouta did after gaining the power of golden fruit is more than just sending invess to another world

I don't know how to feel right now. Still, I guess the finale really is next week.
|
Great episode with the context of subs. Can't wait to see next week for the final ending. Looks like Micchy is finally going to try and step up to be the hero the world needs without Kouta around.
|
Okay, so I was wrong when I predicted a Ryuki-esque reset ending. That's fine and I can live with it. Totally called Takatora still being alive, though. No body, no explosion, no death.
Pretty interesting ending with Kouta and Mai flying off to create their own new world. It's kind of a bummer, but there's a lot of cool hope wrapped up in there. I'm just really, really afraid that Toei is going to undo it either in next week's episode or the Movie War. There has to be some way to keep Gaim showing up in all the Super Hero Taisens, after all. I have my fingers crossed, but I'm expecting some kind of big, dumb retcon in the near future. The final fight with Kaito was pretty cool, too, although over a lot faster than I expected. To be fair, though, there was a lot of epilogue to get to and, while the emotional stakes were pretty high, this was definitely not one of the more visually interesting fight scenes in Rider history. All in all, though, it was a great ending to a very good show. I just hope they don't completely How I Met Your Mother it next week. Also, seriously, did Kouta just never bother telling anyone that Hase was dead? What the hell, dude? |

Well damn. What a finale (excluding next episode which looks to be a coda of sorts). To be honest though I'm not happy with how the show seems to be trying to redeem Micchy in some way. Zack, Kouta and now Takatora are offering him more forgiveness than he deserves. Mixed feelings on Takatora coming back as it's cool to see him back but again I feel Micchy doesn't deserve to get him back
|
Love the forgiveness for Micchy.
Kouta has stated all along that he doesn't hate Micchy, that Micchy just took a wrong turn and can still turn back and go down the right path. As Oren stated, Micchy was used and manipulated by the Overlords, and his punishment is having to live with everything he's done. To see him come back and redeem himself in the next episode and be a hero, not only does it prove me right (to an extent I suppose), but it's the final turn around for the character, meaning Micchy, to an extent, was really the main character all along. |
Character evolution/progression doesn't make him the main character. I believe it gives him the most depth of all of them but by no means would I consider him the focal point of the story. He's just a great example of an actual person with imperfections as opposed to the bastion of hope that Kouta is and the bull headed force of will that Kaitou is.

Absolutely loved it! No reset was needed. :)
