I would be up for another Jungle theme Sentai. Gekiranger was the last time when we had Jungle theme animals for the show. Also Jungle animals are a big seller to kids.

Thing is though we dont know yet if this Bird Sentai is actually happening. Its a very very vague rumor and before we get to see any trademarks its just wishfull thinking.

I will not complain about him using same tropes he uses like Kamen Rider Gaim.

If they doing Bird theme or Jetman-type for 39th Sentai show, have Gen Urobuchi be the head writer because he would pay homage to Jetman.

Why pay homage to a series that the target audience hasn't seen?

And paying homage to a series is not exclusive to just one writer. Anyone Toei would hire to do a Jetmanesque show could go in and pay homage to said show.

I believe the show is on DVD in Japan. I think kids who got into Sentai most likely check out the other shows. I remember as a kid, after I watched my first Godzilla film that I wanted to see them all. You also had reports of kids who became fans of Power Rangers thanks to Samurai and Megaforce use their parents Netflix account to watch the other shows.

Godzilla is a different case, as movies getting home releases is a nearly inevitable act. Television series aren't as guaranteed, especially in Japan, which seems to prefer releasing series in multiple volumes (Which can add up and get expensive, depending on the number of volumes) rather than one whole set.

I know it's not impossible for a 6-12 year old to watch Jetman through such methods, but I'm just doubtful.

If someone would attempt to do alot of homages it would not be so the kids would get them. Urobuchi almost directly reused Godais introductory scene from Kuuga a show that most kids watching Gaim would probably have never seen.

Most Writers doing these homages mostly do them for guys like them that grew up on those shows and are now adults that still kept watching.

From what Ive seen the first 27 episodes didnt do much better than Wizard. Cant speak for the last 20 though but I heard that they didnt do much better.

But I wouldnt say it was just because Urobuchi did an Kuuga homage in the first epsidoe of the show :lol

Gaim had great toy sales. I think Gaim didn't had good ratings most likely because most casual people didn't seem to bother watching it. I do remember there was people on 2chan saying that Gaim looked stupid. I guess the fruit theme and the dancing early on turn people away. I can see why with Drive, they went with a car theme and the writer of W back.

Not at all. Sorry if it sounded like that. Its just that Gekiranger pulled it off really well and uniquely imo that other attempts will probably feel lackluster at this rate. I mean we dont frequently see bruce lee track suit + nike + cats that often. And if we REALLY wanna do cats might as well ripoff SWAT Cats. There I said it.

There's rumors explain the next sentai will be a cowboy theme.

I think the name doesn't flow off the tongue very well. I wouldn't mind them using the old scrapped name Ninjaman

One of my favorite sentai themes too! But think of the monsters saying the name while trying to sound menacing "NinNinja! You are going to hell!" or something like that. Although, ToQger seemed like a mouthful at first too. It will become easier to say more naturally

Cool, and I just finished watching Kakuranger this morning too. Which means I'm completely caught up on all ninja-themed Sentai. I thought something that might be interesting to do is in addition to the likely Kakuranger/Hurricanger/Ninninjer movie they'll make, if they bring back characters/actors from previous seasons who portrayed ninjas in their respective seasons, like Junichi Haruta as Ryuu Hoshikawa from Dynaman, Yuki Nagata as Haruka from Maskman, etc.

I'm looking forward to this.

Sasuke and Tsuruhime (actors, not the actual characters) were in an episode of Goseiger and Gokaiger, so I would hope that they would still be down with coming back for an appearance in an episode or movie with the Hurricanegers and Goraigers.

With the 3rd Ninja theme Sentai confirmed, I have a bad feeling that ToQGer'll have the same fate as Go-Buster in the next vs. Movie...

It would be nice if they went with Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink and Black as the main colors again. It been like since 2010 when we had those colors for the main team.

Yeah, Goseiger was the last team. There has to be colors on the darker side of whatever lineup they choose. ToQ4-go is almost lime green; that wouldn't work for ninjas

Ninja & Sentai are always a good match I think!
If it was me, I would have the team as red, blue, yellow, white, black + gray/silver as the 6th member.
I aslo hope the costumes will not be as simple as the Kakuranger's but more detailed in the Gouraiger style.

I hope we get an extra hero instead of a regular sixth. Haven't had one of those in a while.
