Wow, they all look great.
|
I hope we'll get a US release for Tobaspino. I love Spinosarus.
So due to partnerships they can't disclose when the new Ranger Keys are being released. That's disappointing... Those movie figures though are fing MINE. I hope they'll continue the retro-window packaging except black and have "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie" on it like in the old days. |
The MMPR train keeps on chugging. When I first saw the news postings for the Figuarts Zero Power Rangers, I saw it as Figuarts ZEO Power Rangers, which got me excited and then I realized my mistake.
I do want those movie figures though. |

The Zeros look nice, but they're not really my thing. I'm just not really into statues. |

HUE HUE HUE. |
i can“t wait to start collecting dino charge toys........in about two years when they get to my country
|
I am just looking forward to a Zeo Gold key, all the Dino Charge toys, and eventually picking up the Legacy items. I haven't even ordered Legacy Titanus yet.
|
Tigerzord is still the only thing I am looking forward to. Are they EVER going to show us his robot mode though?
Wait... what is Dragonzord's tail doing behind Titanus? |

See the funny thing I find is that they say Tru will be releasing dino charge first but here in Canada for super megaforce target had it like a month before Tru did. I'm just really looking forward to snagging a new series of power ranger items.

People want them, myself included, because NO figures have ever been produced based on those designs that aren't freaking mcdonalds toys. Yes these figures are also part of the terrible 5" ranger figure line, that's true. The 5" line is plain awful. But this is literally the closest thing to a nice high end release we will ever have for the movie designs. Nothing even close to this has ever been made for the original move suits before. So if I have to settle for these things to own those suits, I'm game.
|
I do admit that I have a soft spot for the 1995 movie designs. I would buy the movie figures seeing that we are likely never going to get Figuarts of them.
|
I was also thinking how nicely done these figures are. The proportions beat the usual stuff BoA gives us.

But it would be awesome to get the Legacy Movie figures and actually do some comparison shots with the Mcdonald's figures. |
I think the movie suits are just atrocious. Not just the toys, but the designs. When I was 12 they were cool, but after a few years, they just looked stupid do me. It looked more like they were made out of Duck Tape and pieces were ready to just fall off.

The dino charge gun looks so small... |

"These are YOUR Power Rangers movie figures! Take them or leave it. You won't be getting anything else." I'll definitely take them. I never expected them as it was. |
Still waiting to see how the balls the Tigerzord combines with the Dragonzord...

I mean that the big demand for these figures doesn't make sense because it's just a small change in the suit's design. Lots of people that I see post about the movie never really have anything positive to say about it, so what attachments do they have to the designs? Spending money for figures that have very little differences between them seems illogical & does less for the customer than that customer assumes it will. Like the whole debacle of MMPR Green's silver stripe. No matter which version you own or prefer it's still the same suit, so you're paying for extras you really don't need. Neither design is better or worse than the other, so people should be happy with what's available. Sorry if I sounded mean, it's just hard for me to comprehend this train of thought.

It's like if the MMPR/Zyu suits had toys released and the white diamonds were painted gold. It's not the primary part of the suit, and ultimately, it's the same design with a mild alteration, but it's not the design people want. You can't just say that wanting something different, regardless of how minor that difference is, is illogical. Toy collecting and nostalgia are very real things, after all. |
They are. And it's not like it's a crime or anything if people do that. But if you've got a preference then why not just get that one? Why have multiples that took money & space from you? And yes, no design is truly superior or inferior to any. It's all subjective. Even if 99.99% of people like 1 look over another there will always be that other/those others that like the different look.

Fair enough.
