Another good episode. This show is already great. Sure, it is no Gaim, but it is definitely up there with W-Fourze.
|
The Shift Cars don't bother me that much so far. I hope they won't be as annoying as the PlaMonsters or the Foodroids. I was happy that the support robots or whatever they are called were not in Gaim. The ones in W and OOO didn't bother me that much because I felt like they were important to the plot.

This was a fun and interesting episode. I love Shinnosuke his lazy and his determined personalities, his talk with Hayase and how he convinced him not to feel bad and to make up for him not being there. I hope Hayase becomes Mach. Shinnosuke and Kiriko's relationship is so much fun. I also love Mr. Belt and how he was a person before and I am intrigued with what happened to him. I love the shift cars they are nifty and awesome. I love Drive Type Hunter, that Red Wheel and cage were totally awesome, I loved his Sonic-like Rider Punch too.

Is it me or Kamen Rider Drive became "Kamen Rider meet EXTREME!" Damn! Kamen Rider Drive must taking steroids because he destroyed couple of roimude from first episode.
Anyway. The belt is Doctor's brain?! (Gasp) That's impossible! I would be so "surprise" that Kiriko is robot built by Doctor. I doubt that because she did smile when Shinnosuke ask her about Kamen Rider I also doubt that Chase might become Kamen Rider Mach because in ToQger, everyone thought that Emperor Z become ToQ 6Gou. Kamen Rider Drive is definitely in W-Fourze's level |
Ohh, Kamen Rider is a term in the show, great!
It was a fun episode too, solid all around. |
|
Who is chase's actor? He looks familiar.

I think a lot of people call Chase the "Eiji-look alike" because they have similar facial features and hairstyles. I mean if you there were for the livestream, everyone compared Chase to Eiji quite often.

To me kinda like Evil Michy mixed with Toq green.

BNot bad. I feel bad for justice hunter being wasted as just a grill sheild thing. He could have been so much more in a show about police. Also the little sax solo totaly gave me the W chills. I like that alot.
|
So yeah Belt-san is the spirit/mind of another person in the belt, Hayase isn't dead, and our villains are name after parts of the human body (though that does make sense since it seems each one is looking to build the perfect humanly body in their own image). Yup.
Well that was episode two and it still hasn't gotten me into the show. The only thing I really like are the suit designs, but outside of that there's nothing making me want to keep watching. I'll probably watch 3 and 4 just to see Chase's suit in action, but if they don't do anything for me I'm not going to continue watching Drive. |

I mostly see him as Eiji.

Finally sat my ass down and watched the episode.
It was a lot better than ep 1, that's for certain. Anyway, Justice Hunter was kind of a let down, and Chase kinda looks like someone shopped Eiji and blonde Kouta together. |
What season is Eiji from?

Reminds me of a hybrid of Kiva, and W... Might stick around for a few episodes. See how I feel.

I get more of a Kabuto vibe myself, really the only thing that's even remotely Kivaish is the fact that the Belt talks and has his own personality.
|
Honestly, I'm feeling more of Fourze from it.
The police station is kinda like the KRC with how silly they are, and while Shinnosuke isn't Gentaro, a good chunk of the secondary cast feels like them. |
A lot of aspects from this show does feel borrowed from other series huh?

Let's just go down the list shall we?
Kabuto? Check Fourze? Yup W? Check Agito? Check Kiva? Check check |
I wonder if we're gonna be able to find an OOO vibe somewhere~
|
I kinda get a vague Ore Journal vibe with the police headquarters as well.

Well, this was a step up from episode 1, I thought. I liked our hero using his head to figure out the mystery, and seeing the head baddies was nice. I don't like that we don't have any idea what the motivation of the bad guys are yet, though. And overall the lighter tone will take some getting used to as I tend to like more serious KR shows. The fact that there is a specific number of enemies reminds me of the old show Brimstone, heh.
The Shift Cars are neat; will have to resist buying them! I love 1/64 cars, so that will be tough! This ep was good enough to get me to keep watching for a bit. |
The bad guys motive is to find the ultimate body, to copy its data, and to evolve into the ultimate lifeform (for now).
|
Pretty cool. Expanding more on Shinnosuke's character through his chat with his injured friend Hayase. Interesting stuff. And I loved that Shinnosuke actually did detective work. The car chase was pretty awesome (though the CGI was overdone towards the end) and the action itself was solid. Loved that he has a Rider punch.
Also, the villains seem very intriguing. |

I also could see drive making the Kiva pose. |
I liked the episode quite a bit, so far I like the mood its set. Not a big fan of Justice Hunter, but that finisher was pretty sweet.
