To be honest I don't think they will have the Super Sentai and Rider merchandise for this shop.
Hong Kong and Taiwan also has their own webshops, but they don't have everything from the Japanese shop.
My guess is the shop will only carry whatever is being shown and promoted in the designated area. Doraemon, One Piece, Star Wars, Hello Kitty, Disney stuff will probably be the things they are trying to sell here.

We can currently hope that they will do Rider, Sentai and Ultraman stuff on their shop. At least future Tiger & Bunny figures will be easier to buy now given that Bluefin stop importing them.

It won't surprise me if this is true since collector stores are lucky enough to be alive today. I believe the Internet has hurt collector stores thanks to Amazon and Ebay seeing that everyone buys things online now these day. During the 80's. 90's and the early 2000's, collector stores were very common to find and you can buy Japanese imported stuff pretty easy depending where you lived. I grew up going to Japanese imported stores at my local malls as a kid and buying imported toys of Godzilla, Pokemon, Digimon, Zoids and DBZ. Compare to the 90's and the early part of the 2000's, the Internet was hardly a thing and didn't catch up to people's houses until like 2004 or 2005.

This could be view as a both good and bad thing. It will be cheaper for people now without paying so much for shipping and importing fees but collector stores could be totally dead in the next few years. Nothing beats the feel of walking into a store and seeing all cool Japanese imported stuff. That was my favorite part as a kid seeing stuff for Japanese shows, movies and video games that I never heard of and seen before.

Also have my fingers crossed , looking forward to some positive results in the near future.

So is the new website a subsection of the Japanese site or is it on its own fully separate site cause the only Tamashii site url I saw was one with a .jp at the end.

Despite the odds, I'll still be holding out and hoping that toku items do find their way here.

I'm hyped, also if you guys do want tokusatsu figures, they have a questionare survey that involves ASKING for what items to have in their shop, I did *I was VERY broad, I said any SH Figuarts as one of the answers for that & added exclusives included*. Ya'll are welcome.

Looks like shipping is 2000 yen. It's pretty pricey for shipping, but I guess if we want to show support to the site then I won't mind dropping $20 on it. At least it will be pretty fast though. I've been wanting Tamashii Web Shop to sell internationally for years now and I finally got it.

In what way do you think? Bluefin still handles importation of all the Tamashii retail releases, merchandise from other Japanese companies, and are soon extending into their own unique ventures. If you mean as the source of all exclusives for North America, maybe but doubtful as some franchises will still have licensing to consider that could mean some exclusives got cut off from the North American market entirely, and I don't see with this deal being common knowledge on both sides that it would be part of a larger plan to kill the Bluefin-Bandai partnership.

I don't expect a perfect 1:1 distribution between the Japanese and North American shops, but so far I have noticed that both the Hong Kong and Taiwanese shops have had no issue with selling Kamen Rider merchandise (Taiwan's missing a lot of Figuarts for some reason though, opting to go with SIC, CSM and the exclusive Arms Change among other things). We can speculate, but there's not really enough information this early on to know what can and can't be offered, besides One Piece Figuarts Zero.

What designated area?

Star Wars is more likely than not one of the properties that won't be able to ship here, due to existing licensing with Hasbro.

That's a decent price for EMS, considering it's flat-rate per order. More than one figure in a single order and shipping speed can more than make up for lack of alternate methods.

Could this North American web shop lead to NA exclusive figures made exclusive to the North America market that can only bought on the NA Tamashii Webshop? For example, S.H Figuarts Zord Zedd or Mortal Kombat S.H Figuarts since they are figures based on things non existent in Japan and only in North America. If Japan can have their own exclusives, so why not North America :D.

YES, I don't fully know what all this will entail, but so far it sounds like it's gona be good!

I think that's jumping ahead way too much, considering we don't even know what they will and won't be able to sell yet. Even though they're doing this, I don't think this means that North American buying power is strong enough to create an exclusive solely available to this webshop vs the main one.

I don't know if we will ever see American exclusive stuff; I think they would still need to go through Bluefin with all of that.
