This odd growth spurt new figuarts of old Sentai shows have gone through really messes with a big display, but I do end up liking their proportions better

I've never seen Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan, but I preordered this figure anyway.

I like the design enough - certainly more than Akaranger - but mostly, I preordered it because I want to support the production of more Sentai Figuarts.

It's unlikely to get us Bouken Silver, White Swan, or even Akaninja, but I can live in hope, right?

I've never watched the show but the figure looks nice.

The show itself can be boring. The first half especially. It's not far a casual fan, it definitely requires some patience to watch and if you're more accustomed to modern flashy shows it may not be for you. It's not without it's rewards though. While it was hard to get through that first half the show has som great action scenes and really well done mecha battle.

Bandai definitely knows how to take our money. I need to get this figure when I get the chance to.

The crest really makes the figure, best looking helmet of all the red rangers in my opinion.

That image with all the Red Ranger Figuarts is a thing of beauty.

And to think we were worried about Sentai Figuarts being a thing of the past.

If this quality keeps up this sideline of SH Figuarts could overtake the Rider side of things. Vul Eagle is a beau all right.

I've noticed that too. At least its a minor difference where in a display it hopefully just looks like a couple figures are just "taller".

All these toybox galleries made me go back and look at all the older galleries. My wallet is already crying as I think I have some major catching up to do with Sentai and Kamen Rider Figuarts. I think I'll start with this one,he looks great.

Sun Vulcan was the first Showa series I finished and I love it.

I really like the helmet design here. Looks very sleek and heroic. It's kinda weird seeing such a realistic sword, but that's alright. Really cool looking Figuarts.

I love the wrinkles in the suit, and that scarf is STYLISH.

I haven't seen this series, but they looked pretty cool when the Gokaigers transformed into Sun Vulcan.

*Sigh* I hope some day they make a Dekamaster Figuart... :(

A Really nice Figure

I really need to see some of these pre- Zyu/MMPR era Ranger teams, if only because their uniforms are sweet.

so this is SH Figuarts Vul Eagle II then?

It can be both since it comes with the accessories to display it as such. It's simply up to the owner to decide if it's I or II.

From Showa I'm primarily hoping for a Big One Figuarts.

It can be either as stated in the review. The differentiating factor between the two of them is the Katana. It's inclusion allows you to have it displayed as either in your collection. I bought two to display both Vul Eagle I & II.

At first, I was rather put off but the height difference now that him and AkaRanger are taller than all my reds but now I'm starting to see it as individuality. If that makes sense. In a large group of people you'll see some within a same height vacinity but in real life there are people much taller and some that're shorter. I see Aka and this guy as the tall guys in the group so I'm down with that.

Sidenote, I wish the Gaim Figuarts was really short. I'd loved that.

I'm not a huge fan of the Sun Vulcan suits but this looks to be a pretty good toy. The katana's inclusion is especially good. Always nice to see more stuff for old rangers too.

Really like the look of the Figure, haven't seen much Sentai my only experiences being Gokaiger a bit, and when the dvd comes out Zyuranger. But alone with no attachment to the series the costume looks sweet and I do find it funny the metal on the belt looks like the coins in the MMPR / Zyuranger buckles.

Also awesome that they included the katana so you could display it as either first or second Vul Eagle.

Honestly I'd get the figure just for the red ranger line-up.

Great figure, looks like one of the best Sentai releases in quite a while. The inclusion of Vul Eagle II's katana is such a great touch.

one of my favorite suit designs, and I think one of the best looking figuarts. I would love to see him posed and fighting with Dekamaster.

Great figure makes me want to see some more classics Spade Ace comes to mind.

Wow I really wasn't sure on this one but I think I'm gonna need it and some flame effects too, I really like some the older suit designs.

Wow, that does look seriously well done, although personally the slight size increase seen both here and in Akaranger does really irk me. It just makes them not quite fit in right with the other sentai teams, and leaves me wondering why the decision was made to upscale them- I can't imagine that something so minimal would, for instance, allow for an extra bit of articulation to be added?

This is a MUST on my want list! Loving everything I see for this fig. Holds sentimental value to me, too, as this is the Super Sentai for the year I was born. Here's hoping for Shark & Panther!

Looks like a quality figure. No real connection for me as I have never seen anything Pre-Zyu. I am aware of all the teams but Sun Vulcan doesn't do anything for me since I've never really seen much. Regardless this does look really nice and from the review sounds like it captures the character well as you expect SHF to do.

And the katana thing is a nice inclusion. SHF knoww how to hit the little things.

Why there's still no Akibaranger Season 3 to promote Vul Eagle and Akaranger?

But compared to other Sentai figures, this one looks amazing.
