That's a really simple but streamlined and striking design, and it definitely pops out in SHF form.

I like newer riders better. But older ones are cool too.

He looks... Cool. Just a basic looking guy for me. I need to see the movie he is in to actually appreciate his design.

I always preferred how solid ZO's armour looked in comparison to J. Despite being the same designed, it might just be the shoulder pads. So would it take much to retool this for a J release?

I don't think they wanted ZO to be Ichigo and J to be Nigo, I think they were too cheap to invent new costumes, not that I'm complaining, figure looks awesome. BUT WHEN IS J COMING OUT?

The figure is so simple yet even though there is practically no room for error I am floored by the accuracy, a stellar figure that looks good with plenty of affects parts.

I think you just tapped into my one fear with showa riders, I love the antenna but oh my god if they break it's like the end of the world for me.

On to the figure itself, I really like the designs of the movie era double riders, they're really solid and unifying and are a really nice transition from the suits of showa to heisei so finally getting them in figuarts form is really exciting!

I can't wait for J to be announced so that we can have some double rider fun.

No that's EXACTLY how the characters were envisioned at the time. It's literally why both costumes are nigh identical aside from some color differences. They were created in the same vein as Ichigo & Nigo. They were supposed to be the new generation of Double Riders.

Weirdly enough it's from an old McFarlane Star Wars Unleashed Luke Skywalker :lol

Considering all that gold piping on ZO is molded in, J isn't going to just be a simple repaint like going from Rider 1 to Rider 2. They're actually a lot more distinct than most people think, but you really have to see them together to notice the differences.

It looks pretty nice, but I'd probably only get it if I had all the other Showa riders to pose him with.

I'm going to have to get this. ZO was my very first Rider.

I really wish I'd watched more Showa by now. I love the look of ZO but have absolutely no involvement with the character. The figure does look nice though.

Although the older suits always look a bit more goofy in real life and the show, they always make amazing Figuarts. I think the lines on his feet make them look a bit busy, but at least it's accurate to the movie suit. I'm still not super into the Showa era shows yet- still working through some newer ones- but I'll definitely have to give the ZO movie a watch. I just hope it's better than the Heisei era The First and The Next movies, because I've tried watching those about five times now and can never bring myself to watch the entirety of either of them.

So what's the difference between Heisei and Showa? I've seen this referenced before as different eras and I think the terms were used for Godzilla films. I assumed it was directors, but seeing it used for a different series of shows/movies confuses me further. XD

I hope they come out with J soon.

Awesome pics. One of these days I need to pick both him and Shin up. I'm not really a fan of the movie, but I do think the suit itself is pretty awesome. Glad to see the figure has no quality control issues to speak of.

Shin is just damn glorious in the best ways. ZO is very much the quality of Shin with a more basic design. I'm actually that crazy guy who likes all 3 films (Shin, ZO, & J) but I know I'm more of an outlier. ZO in particular though I really enjoy.

It's after midnight when I seen this so I know this post won't be eligible but just for my own curiosity Zo was one of the shows they used for Saban's Masked Rider correct?

For the people that haven't watched the 90's movies, you should! They're fun and like, 40 minutes long.

I think I know why that Kamen Rider ZO has no weapon accessories (which makes sense): I watched the full movie & I didn't see him use any weapons once in the full film

ZO's design, to me, always seemed like a mix of the armored/mechanical look of guys like Black and Black Rx and the more organic look of Amazon. The piping on his suit is a sort of anime look, as well. Very sharp! Thanks for the gallery!
