Can't wait to see the designs be revealed for this series. Hopefully they get away from the gimmick side of things. 40 switches is pushing it. If this guy has 5 magic top hats that allow him to change forms though, I'm cool with that :lol

Goodness I hope the henshin gimmick won't push it by needing to incorporate the number 5 somehow. Fourze was still great, but I fear for a potential 5-item driver.

We are just assuming it'll be Western-styled magic themed. What if it means "tech wizard", and those rumors of Touch Tablets, Smart Phones, etc., end up being true?

In all seriousness, I hope the roleplay stuff will be like the Devices from Nanoha. Weapons that are the focal point of the magic of asskicking and have multiple modes.

Jefusion Just put up their article on this news. Apparently Wizard will have rings that allow him to trasform (5 I'm guessing?) and he will also have a mantle (cloak). So it really sounds like we're getting MagiRider. Sounds damn awesome to me!

I juts hope Foundation X has a big role in it.

Honestly, what I want to know is who's in charge of writing, directing, and producing. And I hope to god the answer to that doesn't involve the name Toshiki Inoue. Inoue returning to do another Rider show is a fear that keeps me awake at night.

Unless the story is straight out of the park...I may have to sit this one out...

I was hoping for a return to a more serious rider show, but given the henshin style and name I'm doubting that. We'll see. It sounds like it could be a ton of fun still. Cannot wait to see images. That cape rumor better be true!

They actually worked together on Hakkaider. Amemiya directed it and Inoue wrote the script.

Honestly, I like to think that Toei is done with Inoue. He's barely touched Kamen Rider since Decade and his one input - the OOO section of Core - was universally loathed. He doesn't really seem to fit the current era of W/OOO/Fourze so I'm hoping he won't be getting another series at this point.

Well, if Magiranger is anything to go by, magic designs are awesome. I'm wondering what he'll be like outside of being a rider. Considering there was such a crazy change from the typical rider thing to a group of anime high schoolers with Fourze, I can hope for something exciting.

It was pre-Faiz Inoue, the guy who wrote Agito and Jetman, not the guy who wrote Kiva and Movie War Core.

Oh Kiva...What went wrong? You began so well. Wataru was interesting, Otoya was hilarious, and the fights were awesome...Then Otoya became boring to watch, the present day was just love triangle BS and melodrama, and the fights were tacked on the end just to let it still qualify as an "Action" series.

Movie War Core (OOO's portion)...We don't speak of that...

Inoue has become the Voldemort of Toku! Which is an appropriate time to realize that with a Wizard Rider on the way.....

Anyone else remember the pre-Fourze rumor of a rider that either had support from the eggs of mythical creatures or used said eggs to henshin?

I guess it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to hope that Vizard (I'm sticking with kickback on the name using a V) has these, would be cool to have an Egg to turn into a mechanical dragon or gryphon etc etc...

I disagree on Kiva, it got better as it went on. The only portion of the show I truly despise is the being able to travel back in time part, outside of that, I have no complaints.

For me, the last 15 or so episodes of Kiva I had to power my way though, which I only managed to actually do so because I had no internet or TV that week.

I doubt they'll go all Fourze with it, to be honest. The count now is five. But collecting things is part of KR fandom, sadly. You have Memories, Cards, Switches, now Rings. Make room on that shelf!

I think Rings have potential to be a cool collectible. I got started with the switches but the fact that there were too many silly ones killed it for me. If the new rider is a little bit more serious than I can see myself picking up whatever they're selling.
