Where was this the last four years, I mean it really does show what can be done when some effort is put inputting the show together. It is nice that this season is using the time gap between Sentai to it's advantage a bit with all the MotW in cages which is something hard for Sentai to do because not all the episodes are done when they start and not all the costumes are made. Another thing is I believe that the show is set in New Zeland which is goo since they can show off some nice landscapes.

Is it me or did Wrench's voice almost remind you of Baboo from MMPR? I just got that feeling for some reason.

(I hope they mention how Sledge and Poisandra met and stuff. I'm really curious about it. :D) |
I really enjoyed the episode, I'm glad they didn't rush in and go give all the rangers their powers all in the first episode. Also Sledge was really Enjoyable as is Poisandra reminded me a little of the Rita and Zed relationship. Also oh god that themesong is so much better than the past ones.
The dialogue was really great especially with the accidental fire of the gun. The only thing I wish they hadn't done was the dialogue while fighting but still overall a major improvement. |

We had ten or s minutes of completely new and originals tory with zero human interaction right? Because that was awesome.
The start was great, once the rangers do show up they all come across as likeable, and the action was all around enjoyable, even the humor, the puns weren't cringeworthy. Kudos Dino Charge. But the mentor dude creeps me out. :lol |

Keeper's Face: You either want it on a T-shirt, or you want to kill it with fire.
I'm in the T-shirt camp. Glad to see he's capable of blinking and moving his eyes. |
Only one episode in and already I'm giving Dino Charge praise. Keeper proved me wrong by actually fighting back against Fury, and I actually got a chuckle out of Poisandra and Sledge's romance. They might as well be Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa, but I mean that in a good way.
Also, LOL at the "asteroid collection" bit. "MY ASTEROIDS ARE NOT STUPID!" |
My initial thoughts on this season... Why the f*ck is they're mentor ET?

*BELCH*-Koda Seriously though, this was a fantastic episode. I love the villains, sans a little nitpick I'll talk about after this, and the heroes are memorable. Something about Koda has me thinking he is gonna be a stand out amongst the group. Just how he acted and emoted with the few things he had this episode made me really like the character. I'm already over how Keeper looks because dude can kick some butt and apparently survived extinction. You can immediately tell that the curator/lady in the beginning is going to be the Violet Ranger. It just fits her so well because she has the most knowledge about dinos. At least that's what I'm sticking with until I see another female actress come into play. Now for my little nitpick which may garner some hate. Sledge. Now don't get me wrong. I think his voice acting is phenomenal and his character is well written, it's just his design seems so out of place amongst the others. I could get over that if his skin wasn't such a bright green. Maybe a little muddied or something, but it looks like he's wearing one of those green screen suits covered in armor. Like I said, a small nit pick amongst a plethora of good points. I can just see the series getting better from here on out, and we still have to see one more missing ranger yet! |
