Any other non PR toku stuff from Bandai America at the Toy Fair? Did they show off anything new Godzilla related?

EDIT - here's think link: http://news.toyark.com/2015/02/14/ba...ir-2015-151149 |
It's a shame that these monsters aren't in scale with Figuarts.
I Know Sentai must be crying out for a candellia figure...which might look like a possibility now. |
Holy villain figures, Batman!
If I had the extra money to spend I would so be into this line just for the variety. Black and Gold Megazord isn't quite the Thunderzord we wanted, but it's still not bad. Mix and Morph doesn't look bad, and the Ammonite zord looks cool too. Bandai of America is really surprising me with this line. |
I'm loving the black and gold Megazord
But i feel like its likely just a stop gap because designing the thunder megazord to fit the zord builder gimick and still be true to form is alittle more complicated than a basic megazord |
Wow! YES!!! 0.0
|
Shame there's no Thunder Megazord, but I will absolutely get the black and gold Megazord.
|
im surprised there's a dx sixth ranger gear(morpher and sword), bandai must be listening.
|
Shame that there's no Legacy Thunder Megazord there. They would be silly not to do one with the Tiger Zord out there. The only thing I can think that's taking them so long is they're trying to work more articulation into the red dragon zord. Also doing that while not breaking it up too much when converting the other armor zords into a zord builder system.
|
That's not the Aqua Ranger. That's the Green Ranger under different lighting.
|
I feel like DC Red, MM White, and other figures that turn to zord will be at their own price point while there will be other sets at a lower price point like DC Green and blue who don't look like they will have any alt modes
|
We are getting an Ammonite Zord. A fucking Ammonite Zord.
RELEASE THE TOYS BANDAI! I WANT THE GURUMONITE THAT JAPAN NEVER GOT! |
Gold's morpher looks a fair bit bigger with that wing; probably might be smaller though.. and that Zandar Thunder is pretty nice.
|
Cool that they're making a bunch of bad guy figures for Dino Charge. I wish they did that for series with better monster designs though.
Black and Gold Legacy Megazord is something that I assumed would happen eventually. Quote:

Well looks like I am jumping on the DC zord line. Hope my wall-mart still has the megazord and raptor and parathingy
|
Legacy Pyramidas, Legacy Serpentera, and Legacy Tor, YES!!!
We also need Legacy Red Dragon Thunderzord Power and Legacy Thunderzords Assault Team, and Legacy Astro Megaship/Megazord and more... Legacy Super Zeo Megazord. Legacy Turbo Megazord (Movie Edition Turbo Zords). need more Legacy evil Zords: Legacy Cyclopsis (MMPR) Legacy Metallosaurus (Turbo) Legacy Dragontron (Time Force) Legacy A-Squad Megazord (S.P.D.) Legacy Cybernetic Rex (PROO) need more Legacy villains: Legacy Ecliptor (In Space) Legacy Darkonda (In Space) Legacy Darkliptor (In Space) Legacy Psycho Rangers (In Space) Legacy Quantrons (In Space) Legacy Dark Specter/Maligore (In Space / Turbo Movie) Legacy Titanisaur (Lost Galaxy) Legacy Ransik (Time Force) Legacy Brickneck (Time Force) Legacy Zen-Aku (Wild Force) and more... |
I really want a Luckyiero figure so bad!
|
I love that we are getting additional auxiliary zords, but I'm unsure if I want to double dip. I might just pick up the auxiliary and hope they could form something.
The Pterazord is a little disappointing due to the blockiness. I figured there wouldn't be as much lost in translation. The Ptera sword looks like it would be good on display with the Dragon Dagger. I am definitely in for the 5" figures. Getting all the generals is a god send. I hope Chaos makes an appearance so we can get him too. |
Awesome stuff, can't complain.
The fact that Bandai is saying that they want to listen feels like the sound of the barricade of skepticism slowly crumbling. Good stuff. By the way, if they go with Legacy Pyramidas, they sure do need to bring out this dude as well: http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2.../Prz-Auric.png |

i assumed they(being bandai) would put more emphasis on the Pterazord and AMMOnite.
but this is BOA we are talking about. |
This just dawned on me. During the coverage someone asked "Why is the generic big monster for the Villains a 5 inch figure?"
What we should be asking is "Why is the Megazords in 5 inch form?". See, we're viewing them as monsters of the week the Rangers can fight, but when you put them up against the 5 inch Megazords, you instantly have the big monster battle of each show. They're basically giving you the whole shows fight scene for about 15 bucks. |
Any word on what kind of arm the Ammonite forms?
Also, I do like the AMMOnite zord. Guns a blazin'! |

But yes, I think that it'll be molded so you can use it on the shoulders. Which is odd, given the shoulder with the power is on the opposite side. |

I got a few stupid questions because I'm a loser and don't browse this board nearly as much as I should:
- When is the black Megazord coming out? - Didn't they say the original colours Legacy Megazord would be re-released? (I hope they plan to re-release the Dragonzord) - Does the painted detail on the Black ver.'s head look sloppy to anyone else? Like it's hand-painted with a brush instead of a machine? |
Iya~!
I'm impressed by all the monsters, and intensely disappointed that they're not in-scale with Figuarts. (But congratulations, 5" collectors!) I loved the Kyoryuger monster designs nearly as much as the fantastic ToQger villains; Debo Iceage is near-perfect. I don't even want Figuarts super-articulation; if there were offered in 6" scale with better paint jobs, my wallet would be Bandai's helpless slave. |
Ok, lot to say with this, so I'll have to break it down point-for-point:
- Villain figures are the undeniable crown jewels of ALL the reveals. It has been noted by people smarter than me that some of the monsters who are getting figures did make returns in Kyoryuger, which might mean that monsters who are predisposed to a possible revival are, from a marketing standpoint, considered "recurring villians". Of note, I believe the last time that real, good monster figures were released in accordance with a PR line was Turbo. From In Space through Super Megaforce, villains were relegated to recurring characters and grunts. Magmavore from Lightspeed Rescue was one of the few exceptions. Most of the time, a monster was given, at best if anything, as a PVC-type for playsets or those little soft things that came in the plastic spheres during Samurai. - Some are upset that Sledge's colors are wrong. Bare in mind, that some of the old figures of the 90s, even PR figures, were not always show-accurate. It's also possible that this one was a prototype and that the final product MIGHT have show-accurate colors for the armor. - PR figures with chest armor and a Dino Charger in the middle. Indicative of the show's direction? The meaning behind the so-called "Dino Supercharge" for the future? - Ammonite Zord given an actual zord figure. This isn't the first time that toyline was given a toy-only zord figure that has nothing to do with the show. However, we have seen that Dino Charge is investing in a CGI T-Rex Zord, so that makes one wonder whether the Ammonite and others could as well. - 12-Inch Figure of Fury. Back in the day, the recurring villains got some larger figures, like the big Goldar, King Sphinx, Rhinoblaster, and Silent Knight just to name a few. - Human-Sized Dino Charge Megazord seen in the photos. I have to ask, is this a suit or a specially fabricated statue for the display? - More Legacy figures? If the big, bad, dragon of Zedd's does get a release, then someone add something to it. A miniature Thunder Ultrazord with detachable Assault Team from Tor would suffice. - People sad by Poisandra's lack of a figure does not mean that she will not get one at all. Remember, we are still in the beginning of the show with more to come. For all we know, Sledge will get a power-up which might mean another figure. |
Bring on pteracharge and that ammoritte zord that thing looks sick.

Given it's a display piece at Toy Fair, it's incredibly likely that the SE Legacy Megazord is hand-painted. Happens all the time with figures being shown off for the first time at shows like Toy Fair and SDCC. |
