And here we are with them using the Gaburevolver just like they do in Kyoryuger. |

If anything it would do wonder in bringing adult viewership by adapting ToQGer. |

I will laugh my brains out if there is a sudden trend in kids throwing burgers like shurikens after Ninninger starts airing its Power Rangers counterpart.

Again, reverse engineered Morpher using a buster Ninja sword Morpher and a cheeseburger novelty phone.

Based on product alone they will skip the trains.

2015: Dino Charge - Ninninger. 1 year apart (Toqger) 2016: Dino Supercharge - 2016 Sentai. 2 years apart (Toqger, Ninninger) 2017: Power Rangers Rail Force or whatever - 2017 Sentai. 2 years apart (Ninninger, 2016 Sentai) As long as they don't turn any Super Sentai into two seasons of Power Rangers again, I don't see how this will be a problem. If I didn't know the order of release, I wouldn't be able to tell that Gokaiger is older than ToQger from a visual standpoint (obviously the anniversary stuff would give it away), so I don't think we have to worry about anything looking dated. Honestly, i'd say it's better That being said, I really don't expect ToQger to be adapted. For one...trains aren't really that common in America, but they seem to be everywhere in ToQger, which could be a bit weird. There's also the fact that the Ninninger suits look awesome (opinion, I know) which I think will test well with American audiences, moreso than ToQger's suits, which I've always thought looked a bit childish. Perhaps if ToQger is skipped, they could bring in elements of it to Ninninger's adaptation, since Shurikenjin's legs are made from a train. Perhaps the fact that Dino Charge is being split into two seasons is a sign that they're planning on skipping ToQger? I know I said I don't think getting a few years behind Sentai is a bad thing, but they probably don't want to have more than two series in-between Sentai and Power Rangers. Side note: Is there an official reason (with a source) why Go-Busters was skipped? |
I want very much for Ninninger to be the next season used, but the only thing that gives me doubts is another Japanese focused series will be only a few years prior with Samurai.

Neither. I'm wondering if we might just get the movie that year.
|
I'd love to see them do ToQger. It has great designs for the suits and the mecha, and it'll be interesting to see if they'll be willing to adapt the imagination storyline.
However, I think a more realistic option is probably Ninninger. It's a safer choice, and ninjas are definitely more popular than trains in the American demographic. Whatever they do, here's hoping they do a good job of it. :) |
I've got a Tokkyu Changer. So, I wouldn't mind if they did ToQGer. At least then my Changer/Morpher would make sense. :lol

I was really excited by the train theme of ToQger, but I recently started looking at Ninninger stuff... I still want them to adapt ToQger, but I've become more excited for a Ninninger adaptation. The ninja outfits look pretty cool, and I like the assortment of zords they've got going on.
Oh, and I absolutely LOVE the over-the-top cowboy themed guy. Everything from the cowboy hat built into his helmet to his giant mechanical bull meets offroad buggy of a zord. He's got a morphin cheeseburger cellphone morpher, what's not to love? I'm half contemplating importing some of the BoJ stuff of his. I'm only dissapointed that this cheesy Lone Ranger of a character is lacking a Tonto sidekick. That said, I wouldn't mind if they left 2017 to the movie. Especially so BoA could just concentrate on making a line for it and hopefully continuing the Legacy line of collectors stuff. I'm not sure I want to see them stretched between two big PR toylines in one year, let alone anything additional for collectors. Maybe do one longer than normal season for ToQger in 2018, and then adapt Ninninger into a two-season series for 2019-20 (PR:Shuriken and PR:Super Shuriken?). |
2017 is going to be a busy year for BOA. They are going to have a potential three toylines rolling into shelves that year which are the TV line, Legacy line, and the Movie line. I could see them temporary removing the Legacy line for that year and just focus on the other two.

Well, it's not like the movie line will be THAT big. Just ranger figures, main villain, henchman, other character, a Megazord, possible dragon zord and a morpher. BOA would only need to concentrate on like one wave, it's again not that much, especially since they'll more than likely be released towards the end of DSC.

Alternatively they could concentrate on the movie in the first half of the year, and the TV show in the second half of the year. Movie hype might not last the whole year. |
If they don't adapt ToQger then they could use Emperor of Darkness Z's monster forms for the 2017-2018 show. Hinelar's Monster Form from Megaranger was used in Lost Galaxy, so anything can be possible
|
Never watched Toqger but I do hope they skip it because the zords are just so uninspired in comparison to other series

I'm almost hoping the zaniness of NinNinja get translated as "Serious Red Ninja Ranger has his secret blown by four random people (who are not very serious at all) so he instructs them in Ninjitsu to keep them quiet while trying to defeat evil and ToQGer's imagination as a superpower is used for writing off the crazy mecha and whatnot."
Yellow, when manifesting his Ninja Power into conjuring his Ninja Zord makes a dump truck because he likes dump trucks for example. |

Ninjas aren't going to be a hard sell either, but I'm not sure how they're oing to market that cluster of zords. I like the weird grouping they've ot going on, but I'm not sure how a kid is oing to react. |

Honestly I wish it was neither. Both look astoundingly goofy, even for power rangers, that a Power Rangers adaption would be extremely hard to make in my opinion. Then again we did survive Zeo, and those helmets were just hideous.
|
A goofy Sentai series wouldn't be a problem for a creative production team. The often-cited example is Go-onger's adaptation as RPM, as both have the starkest contrast in tone of any Power Rangers/Sentai duo.

I'm goin with them not skipping ToQGer. I know the series gets a lot of dislike on here (with completely legit reasoning), but that shouldn't calculate into why it would or would not be skipped.
Heck, I stopped watching after I believe ten episodes and just heard the stories of how it went downhill. That being said, it was the story that got dull and went downhill. I think with a refreshed story, kind of like how they're adding their own flavor to the Dino Charge plot, it would be a good series. And heck, it's trains! We've gotten ninjas before, but trains? Only had one or two of them, and they weren't even their own series. Quite honestly, I don't like ToQGer, and Ninninger is doing pretty solid from what I've heard. It's just a personal thought that they'll go trains first. (That and think of the possibilities with the Zord Builder system. We could create a better final combination!) |

Judd Lynn has said that he doesn't make the decisions regarding which season to adapt. Likely, Bandai has the biggest say in that.

I will add my vote for ninjas. While trains still capture a segment of the boy's toy sales, I don't believe the target age demographic is aligned with that of the Power Rangers brand. Be they with 30 second or 30 minute commercials, they still aim to sell to a specific demographic. If memory serves correct, BoJ has already tooled BoA style action figures of the Ninningers as well.
|
AS much as I want a super train req force, I think they will go with ninjas.
