Now anyway, this price really is too high. I'm gonna wait for a huge sale, get loads of cup onus or just not get this at all. It really is a buzz kill. For the most hyped toy in this line, it's just to much they're asking for.

Not a fan of the price, but this is my favorite mecha by far. If everything looks good as separate parts, and combined with Tigerzord I may have to get it.

Two Hundred Dollars. I don't have words to express the level of disgust I feel for Bandai and the entire over-priced Legacy line. I just do not.

I think the price would be more palatable if they split them up like the original toy and staggered their releases.

Honestly, I feel if it were split up, they'd probably price Red Dragon at $150 and the Assault team at $100, and that's lowballing it.

I don't know, I feel like $150 is a big difference from $200. $150 is still high but it's perhaps something that I can see being justifiable, but $200 has passed that threshold. Yes, it's a fine threshold, but by itself $50 is a lot of money, and I really think they did overprice this.

At the end of the day, it is still a Zordbuilder toy. In my opinion, Zordbuilder places an upper limit on joint strength, and that makes it a bit disappointing.

Well I'll be darned. Did Legacy Titanus ship in a case of one as well, and do the "smaller" releases come in cases of two? Now that my bit of nerdrage at the price has subsided, I can say that my preorder is in. I really don't wish to miss out on a release that has so much promise. The Legacy line has increased in quality as it's progressed. Yes it did rehash older molds for it's origins, but the two unique molds we've received have been possible because of such. The Tigerzord is wonderfully pleasing and my best indicator of what its execution might entail.


Agreed, we are getting a rather complex collector oriented product with a relatively small release, targeted at a very specific demographic. I'm sure the manner in which they have chosen to release this product has also impacted the cost of it. Higher associated risks with the release of single, large items versus multiple smaller releases to distribute the load of associated costs and whatnot. If it were a true mass released product, we would see a lower overall price and associated drop in quality to match. The Dragon and Tiger Zords possess paint applications that the mass retail products cannot match, for example. I am by no means expecting a Soul of Chogokin level of release, but I am now expecting a product of a certain standard.


The Dragon Zord needed to incorporate the Zord Builder ports to match those of the Megazord's. Call it a necessary evil. In contrast, the Tigerzord (the first release truly unencumbered by a previous line's decisions) uses them sparingly and in such a manner to not impact the overall stability of the figure.

It might be substantially bigger. That's how the original was compared to the Dino MegaZord. In addition, if it comes with the stand I'm sure that factors into the price too. That thing wasn't small.

Personally I'm bummed about the size. I always hated how the original towered over everything else, and it looks like that will be the case here as well.

Not surprised really. He is supposed to be bigger than the tigerzord since Won Tiger is the same height as Ryuuseiou.

Wow, is that dragon fully articulated like it looks like? That's really nice. The set looks fantastic, but man, the price is seriously hard to swallow.
