Greatest Battle Ever

I like the suit. Especially the trench coat tails. It looks a lot better than Fourze's suit. I am a little concerned with the belt though. The hand scanner on the front looks a little silly. Hopefully it will come out good. I also hope he has a good henshin sequence. Personally I like more elaborate henshin sequences like OOO, Kabuto, Decade.

Whoa, just got a good look at a pic of his Belt/Driver, and ugh... Won't be needing to pick up that role play toy. Rings still seem cool though..

I should also probably mention that the only Belt I really liked was the Decadriver, I tried buying others but just ended up selling them.

You know if it was Tomino brought in over half the cast would get killed....

Although the look of the driver still drives me nuts, I'm slowly accepting it and other than that, the suit is pretty nice.

Ehh. I've grown to accept the OOO Driver (Which I thought was dumb) and the Fourze Driver (Which I also thought looked dumb).
I'm sure the WizarDriver will grow on me, too.

Actually, something that I like is it's simplistic design. After the super chunky Fourze Driver, the slim disk and hand is kind of a breath of fresh air, even if it's odd in design.

I could deal with that. We need a tragic series in Kamen Rider again. It has been far too long since something truly epically bad happened. Usually when it does, they find a way to either hit the reset button or the resurrection spell.

WOuldn't it be awesome if every student at that school died in the final episode, and it was for real? That would make Fourze one of the best series ever.

Yes but for me personally I've never been turned off by a riders design save for Hibiki. Not saying this won't be a good series but I just don't get any rider vibes from him.

Kuuga for the most part was more about story telling and character development than selling toys. After Blade there's been more focus on selling toys and gadgets.

You can't just change the theme and tone of a series so drastically. That's poor taste and poor writing.
Hell, I'd be pissed off if any series did that. You don't just kill off everyone because you think that adds depth. This isn't the 90's anymore.

I agree totally with this. With regards to Wizard, it can be dark, but you don't just make things dark for the sake of making it so. Artificial "darkness" does not add depth, and at least for American superheroes, was a cheap late 80s/90s gimmick used to appear cool.

What a Kamen Rider should be is heroic. I heard that Kamen Riders have only started being more explicitly heroic post-Decade, but I like this change. You can be heroic in a dark universe (I heard Ryuki was this, but I haven't watched it yet), but I'd really hate for borderline evil superheroes. Heck, even Accel, Ankh and Meteor became heroes/anti-heroes in their own right.

If Fourze killed off all the students at Amanogawa High, without a really, really good reason, I will divorce myself from that series altogether.

No way, no how. People love these characters and killing them out, even if it's not all of them, is going to cause some serious backlash. I think that plotpoint is best saved for a Kamen Rider series that's meant to be DARK. Also killing characters all the time can cause people to think of the artform as something less than meaningful and enjoyable. Who would want Toei to do what DC and Marvel are doing and just do killing for the simple sake of killing? There are ways to show depth without mindless murder.

Ryuki is super dark. Even the 3 guys who think they're being "heroic" by doing what they do are some evil bastards. It's the guys (like Ryuki himself) who fight to protect that wind up being truly heroic in that world.

I didn't say you don't do it for no reason, but if you can write it that way smartly, it would sure make for a shocking ending.

Anyway, I haven't watched Fourze yet, so I cannot comment outside of the first episode.

Shocking doesn't necessitate good.
An everyone dies ending, when written expertly, is still a bad ending. Death in a series is shocking when it's sporadic. When it happens every other episode or in giant chunks, it's cheapened. The deaths become less and less meaningful. A hero dying at the end of their series is emotional. Everyone dying at the end of their series is a waste of everyone's time.

Heh, yeah. Things have been getting kinda scary. I've been lurking and posting a lot more to get my mind off it and to stop worrying, actually :lol.
The area was covered in smoke yesterday, but there were also heavy winds. Today's clarity (Like, actually being able to see the sun) tells me that only the smoke was blown over my area, thank god.
