See? Make the Red be Japanese and have him be the serious Ninja with all the real Ninja training and such. This gives justification to any Red Worship from NinNinja (like AkaNinja's super mode) because of course the actual Ninja would get the cool stuff. Plus he can act as a cultural bridge, explaining what a Kamaitachi is for example, the significance of the Ninja Nova Megazord's Turtle, Dragon, Phoenix and Tiger Zords (and why there's a Panda and Koi Zord), etc.

Plus the other 4 NOT being Ninjas or Japanese and you explain why Drago, Dump, Wan, Byun, Paon, UFO and Surfmaru are so un-Ninja-y, they were summoned with Ninja magic that wasn't as properly honed and the Pink Ranger gets a train because she likes trains and that's what the Morphing Grid manifested into her Ninja Zord.

And Red is the straight man to all the wackiness that Blue, Yellow, White and Pink bring to the battlefield and that's the main source of the humor! :lol

ToQ-Oh was an inspired piece of classic mech design.

I was kinda hoping we would get a year of trains, but I'm more than ok with them possibly skipping on to another year or two of ninjas. With the renued popularity of the TMNT franchise, and trains not nearly being as popular here, it does make sense.

That said, Power Rangers Ninja Steel is not what I was expecting for the possible title. I was honestly expecting something like Power Rangers Shuriken. Though now that I think about it, that could have caused some issues with parents...

Also makes for some interesting timing, since the next logical Megazord for the Legacy line is the Ninja Megazord.

Ninninger has over 40 episodes of footage to use. I don't see on how they can pull off a 22 episode with only using half of footage. Dino Charge had two seasons because there was a lot of footage and toys that they can sell from 2015-2016. Ninninger has a big enough toy line for a two season show.

Wait I thought kyoryugers toy sales were as high as gaorangers and toqgers sales were slightly under kyoryugers. From what I understood kyoryugers toy sales were the most successful since gaoranger.

The title Ninja Steel makes me wanna flash back to Ninja Storm.

Well I'm not surprised that Toqger is being skipped, the only things that looked cool from that show were the villains.

Now while I hate NInninger, if Chip is on board again, then it would be a pretty good show. He could try and correct some of the errors in Dino Charge and overall make stronger story. Not saying Dino Charge is bad, but the inconsistency is there.

Now I'm not really going to be paying attention until PMC because everything up to it is a bit skeptical, so 7 more months.

I think it'd be cool if they use at least one of the villains from Toqger in Power Rangers Ninja Steel, and tie it in with the Yokai somehow :D

Screw "Shuriken Squad". Just leave it as Shuriken.

Not a fan of Ninninger, but with how good Dino Charge has been, its makes me confident that Ninja Steel can become a good series. I think Judd Lynn will return to direct Ninja Steel because in the past he did multiple back to back seasons.

Know what would be VERY COOL?! They cast Kane Kosugi as the team mentor!!

-All ToQ-Oh's components were functional train toys that could be linked together in any orientation.
-The gattai sequence not only made sense in the context of them being trains, but allowed for a dynamic in-show combination that could be replicated perfectly by the toys.
-The fact that the linked train mode can transform to ToQ-Oh with no partsforming is sublime.
-The way that ToQ-Oh is a sentai mecha composed of vertical sections feels thoroughly fresh and creative.

I could go on, but if I haven't convinced you by now, you're unlikely to get it. :)

Power Rangers Shuriken Strike would have made more sense than Ninja Steel.

But Dino Charge has been good so far, let's see where this goes.

I was expecting Ninja Stars given that they claim to be flashy and non-stealthy and their main gimmicks are shurikens.

Eh, trademarks get filled, changed, and dropped all of the time. You can just look at that site Paladin posted and see the number of trademarks that never really went anywhere.

So I wouldn't take this at face value, at least not until I hear a more official announcement.

ToQ-Oh isn't impressive. The only real interesting thing it has going for it is that you lay the trains side by side for a vertical combination. In exchange, however, you get a minimum effort transformation, an unimpressive combination, lazy looking additional modes, and it's a weak effort all around. The points you listed aren't going to convince anyone since they're nothing special.

First, I'm talking about mechs, so try not to be that dense.
Second, they basically stayed at the same point. GokaiOh was a piece of trash. The Super Megaforce Megazord or whatever the fuck they called it kept it a piece of trash.
They just made it a piece of trash that costed $50 less than GokaiOh.

ToQ Rainbow is probably one of the laziest final combinations ever.

Toqger fans are acting so bitter against adapting Ninja Steel hoping that it would fail. The Thomas the Train argument is weak considering that show is aimed at toddlers. No kid ages 5-12 watches Thomas the Train. The Toq-oh is a terrible mech and would have complaints from adults with its Red Ressha boner transformation and possibly made fun of in late night shows. Also, they think that a guy with a puppet on his hand as a mentor could work in America is ridiculous.

Why is it such a big deal that they skip ToQ to some? ToQ still exists, the toys still exist, it changes nothing. Power Rangers is its own thing so why bother so much?

As long if Saban is working for Nick, they are going to have to skip seasons to catch up with Super Sentai. If they adapted Go-Busters instead in 2015, we would have to until 2017 for Kyoruyger to be adapted and 2019 for ToQger. The suits and footage will age over time. Unless Saban get more episodes in one year then it's not going to happen.

I wouldn't be against more episodes in a year. This 20-something episode bullshit is getting old.
