Replacing the villains could add something interesting to the Ninja Steel side that Ninninger didn't have. Let's wait and see

Power Rangers did use the Dr. Hinelar's Monster Form suit from Mega Ranger in Lost Galaxy. So it's not impossible for them to use villain suits from ToQger. I always love Z Shin's form from ToQger and would love to be used in Power Rangers.

As long as they don't have the villain just sitting around in his cave or doom fortress, then I'm cool with it.

Yep no problem with it here as well. Heck Magna Defender used the aurachanger to morph. :lolol

Two things:

A): Using Baron Nero might be more problematic than most believe. It is true that Furio (Lost Galaxy) originates from Megaranger and not Gingaman, but Saban had use of Megaranger footage and therefore the related costumes could be used. Saban apparently never gained the rights to ToQger, which makes any use of the Baron decidedly iffy until more is revealed.

B): Personally, it looks as though the one who looks like the Baron might have an uncovered face. They could use an actor who is dressed like the Baron and have a similar storyline. Even Heckyl and Snide have been compared to Enter.

Whut? Says who? The fact that Nero is standing right there makes it abundantly clear that they can use him however they see fit.

here's my rant about it, it's long:

a ship again? why does every villian lair have to be in a ship? is all they can think of? why not having a ground base? at least change it up a bit.

the game show idea is just a terrible idea because being a ninja is not a game, it's about protecting one another in a serious situation, it's almost they are teaching these kids that being a ninja is a game, plus what does a game show have to do with ninjas anyway? that makes no sense to me.

they are using a high school setting again, i just dont understand that idea either, they are ninjas, if anything, they should have a ninja school theme with a bunch of students not just the main 5 but a bunch of people learning how to train to be ninjas every episode even if they arent power rangers, that would be a good idea.

if they just give 5 high school students their powers and learning how to fight in the footage, that's just lazy writing because being a ninja is about training.

what's the purpose of bringing a toqger villian into this series? i mean they couldnt be creative like creating their own villian or using a monster from ninninger to be the one of the main villians? that's just not creative.

in regards to the cast, im not feeling it, it feels like the dino charge cast nothing against them i like the cast, i wish they would just change it up a bit.

that's my take on it, when i first saw the story line when the theme as announced, i just didnt like it and everything about it just seems so off balance in my opinion. if they didnt use the game show idea and used a ninja school theme with it, i'll give this show a chance but im just not feeling it.

I suggest you look up what ninjas were at one point, because that isn't what "being a ninja is all about" either.

That passing of the torch moment from brother to brother, blue ranger to blue ranger is definitely the highlight for Power Morphicon 5.
It is a rare moment that does not happen often and sure made my day.

I legit cried when he was introduced. Like a big blubbering emotional baby. I am so happy for him, I'm happy for his brother, I'm happy they shared that moment, and I know he'll make an amazing Blue. Just like his brother. I still wish NS was a ToQger season instead, but this announcement makes me look forward to this season like nothing else.

Also, why the hell is there a ToQger villian introduced? They aren't going to do a Goseiger/Gokaiger mash-up season again are they? ... Please no...

Nah, probably not. I do however can envision the ToQger suits being a one-shot thing on par with how Masked Rider was used in MMPR S2. For example, maybe an episode where a child fan of the Ninja Steel Rangers creates his own rangers(ToQger) via doodle and they come to life by the bad guys only to end up helping them thus allowing Saban to use Ninnin vs ToQ footage.
Again, just a thought but one I think could happen if they do decide to ToQger it up a bit.

You mentioned Masked Rider and I instantly became terrified.

I'm thinking variety. The Ninja Steel villains are aliens so it makes sense to have a range of aesthetics rather than just use a bunch of obviously ancient Japan-inspired ones.

Don't get me wrong, I do not like that show as much as the next person.
But I think if they are to ever use ToQger stuff one-shots would be great.

Ninnin does have a few team up episodes where they get help from other sources, so it could fit in with the pattern, if they use those.

I dont expect the Red Aquitar Ranger to appear in civilian form but would love to see Pua return as Shane.

An additional possibility is getting someone else to play a denizen of Aquitar (Aurico possibly passing on the mantle to another). Given the increased imagination (after Super Megaforce), I wouldn't pass on the possibility of them reproducing the head props from Mighty Morphin' and Zeo.

The sad element is them doing the same with Shane. Saban and the "Disney Era" people don't seem to be the most friendly, but someone could still extend an olive branch...

All things considered, I don't really know what to expect on this end. Not sure if the Nekomata Youkai centered alongside that team-up is even suitable (a clock that always shows 7:30, the time for new Sentai episodes). I'd like to think that with the game show aspect, the Ninja Reds will be "extra players" who have been forced into it.

Real talk: I hope they ditch the stupid props for the Aquitian rangers. If Aurico or his successor or something returns, I hope they appear as normal. They were too dumb looking, even back then, and I hated the distortion effect they put on their voices.

Yeah, what they should have done was just go Kevin Costner for the whole aquatic humanoid approach instead of that ridiculous head prosthetic make-up. Fake gills on their necks would have been just fine.

This honestly sounds like they're taking from Zyuohger's Genis, Game Owner, to create a story that mashes somewhat with the premise from Ninninger.
Maybe not a ToQer/Ninninger mashup, but a Ninninger/Zyuohger mashup

Bubblegum Talent has put out a casting call looking for kiwi actors to put themselves forward for filming dates at the start of October. Studio West is listed, as well as a workshop scene for mechanic/metalwork/building, and has listed Hobsonville Point as another filming location.

You know, I really hope they don't decide to give all the Otomonin their own rangers. We really don't need another 10 ranger show right after Dino Charge. Though I do kind of hope we see the Tridoron show up in both the show and in toy form.

One small detail I noticed, in the summary on the Worldscreen page, they don't refer to them as "Ninja Power Throwing Stars" like in the initial press release, but as "Ninja Power Stars"

I could see them returning to a one year format if the movie does well enough.

How does the Movie affect that?

If the movie is successful it would probably allow for a larger budget for the show and Nick would be more willing to air more episodes in a year. Plus, stores would probably give more shelf space for toys, and more shipments of toys, allowing them to get through all the mecha in a year.

EDIT: Of course, that probably won't change the fact that Ninja Steel is going to be 2 years.
