Hey it actually worked, my mind's off of it. I'm free! :D

This would be kinda weird/pie in the sky, but I wonder if this is possibly compatible with Legacy Dragonzord/Titanus. I mean, they could make an SOC Dragon Caesar, but by the nature of the design, it's not like it could have a dramatic amount of extra articulation. And Titanus is a rolling box. BoA added the only real articulation to add with the neck joints.

Honestly, with all the silver paint and lack of stickers, SOC Megazord matches the aesthetic of the Legacy Line way more than the actual Legacy Megazord does.

OMG! I've been dreaming about a true SOC combining Megazord. All paint detail, insane articulation, show accurate look, and NO KNEE NIPPLES!!!!

I love the legacy line of Zords, despite their faults, but THIS is how a "legacy" Megazord should be done, especially considering how awesome Dragonzord and Titanus looks.

That's great for everyone who's into Sentai Power / Rangers, but for someone like me who has no real interest in either and only likes this for being a combining robot toy with a dinosaur theme the price will be too rich for my blood.

I'm looking forward to seeing some video reviews though.

This is cool, but way, way out of my price range. I'll just look at the pictures and be happy it exists.

Well it's why we have the Legacy lines and all that. You don't need to buy every single figure produced.

Now to other people who wonder why they've make a SOC for this figure when we have the legacy line?

Well it's not like Bandai isn't continuing with other megazords. They have the Shogun Zord left in MMPR and then we will likely see them take on another series. There is diversity.

So basically we're getting our Masterpiece Megazord?

I don't think Im gonna buy it because of price, but, hot dang is that a glorious work of art.

Of course the real question is will we be seeing Dragon Caesar / Dragonzord.

I hope Bandai makes a Soul Of Chogokin GaoKing/Wild Force Megazord.

I want a GekiTouja, since it's a slimmer, smaller mech that makes use of speed. It's begging for an articulated figure...

Concerning Dragon Caesar, I don't think it's necessary.

Love that we are getting a show accurate pterodactyl zord. One that has more substance than the chest shield with flip out wings and head.

And we do have to many already, legacy, imagenext, build a figure, jumbo vinyl figure, and jakks pacific figure, also SRC megazord.

Legacy- revamped 1993 toy with better accuracy and haphazard diecast

Imagenext- big toy designed for little kids that only comprises of the combined mode and has a bunch of random gimmicks

Build a figure- cheap action figure spilt between several purchases

Jumbo vinyl figure- A giant vinyl statue that does nothing

Jakks Pacific figure- see above

SRC Megazord- a highly articulated 10" figure that is only of the combined mode

SOC will be a highly articulate, highly detailed, fully combining die-cast work of art meant only for collectors.


If you really think the current existance of multiple Megazord figures "proves" that the SOC figure doesn't need to exist, then you are incredbly dense.

Yes but it's not Soul of Chogokin: an ARTICULATED AND FULLY TRANSFORMABLE MEGAZORD. The feature of articulation AND full combination along with amzing show accuracy warrants the toy to exist.

We have G1, Battle Gaia, G2, RID, Car Robots, Super Link, Energon, 2 Universe decos, a Universe 2.0/ROTF redeco of the Energon/Super Link molds, FOC Bruticus retail edition, FOC Bruticus game deco edition, FOC Bruticus in G2 colors and a 2001 RID Ruination redeco!"

It fills a highly desirable niche. A niche NO OTHER RELEASE DOES.

You know, if we listed off all the MMPR figures, the tally would be just as long as the amount of Dino Megazords, let's be real.
In addition, Sentai Figuarts don't sell. Why would Figuarts of the characters in a total flop movie that failed even with fans of PR sell any better?

They're both niche items that only a small portion of the fandom would want.
The difference is that the SOC can actually be marketed well in Japan.

Completely 110% on board with this. I've been up and down with the Legacy zords as is, so this is welcomed news!

I am curious what Megazord/Mecha would potentially come after Daizyujin. Only thinking in terms of series main mecha, here, what sentai series would be popular enough to support it? My main guesses would be GaoKing, Dekaranger Robo, Shinken-Oh, or Gokai-Oh. Maybe Dairenoh, partially because of the engineering, partly because it'd be another one that could be marketed in America.

Since it was revealed at PMC, I'm assuming they're banking more on the Western market, so I'm gonna say DairenOh or Dragon Caesar.

I expect the question of whether they'll do another at all will depend heavily on how well this one sells. After all, they abandoned Sentai mecha in the Super Robot Chogokin line due to tepid sales, and IIRC, Daizyujin was their final Sentai entry in that.

Yeah, whether there's any more is going to heavily depend on sales. And I wouldn't bank on the line to be one to do a wide range of them either tbh.

I hope if we get more sentai mecha in SoC we get some of the showa eara onces

Totally in the same boat. Seeing as they didn't have an announcement date or price, I'm hoping it's at least 1-2 months behind Voltron. Always for a little bit of time to save and get both.

I remember many Sentai Mecha from that line on display at the time like the other Gokaiger ones and the Dairanger one also.

I see this being the only one that will be made and it will sell somewhat ok.

The reason is the price and with shipping it cost over $360 which is too much to drop on one toy.

And movie figurarts would sale any better? This toy while pricey has a much bigger aduince to sale to, forma business stand point this a less risky choice.

Also SOCs are very limited run figures so it's not like Bandai's breaking the bank on this.

Bandai/Saban loves shoving Tommy down our throats, so if nothing else Dragon Zord/Dragon Ceaser is almost a given.

...Would this be a bad time to mention I want Chogokin White Tigerzord and Red Battlezord?
