the first episode had me a bit worried but this has so far just been a fun ride, though the one complaint I have is the black sleeve like design on Ex-Aid which makes me think he is wearing stocking or pantyhose then again thinking about it makes me really want an Ex-Aid crossover with our true mighty hero . . . HENTAI KAMEN!!!

I liked this episode. Although the Riders up to this point are pretty psychopathic. Pretty much immediately we get introduced to psychopaths whereas Ryuki took a little bit to ramp up to the real crazies. The first few episodes of Ryuki Shinji was just learning the ropes and Ren was being an asshole, in this episode of Ex-aid we already got a person with very clear competitive motives.
I do like the idea of Emu having sort of an alternate personality when using the Gamer Driver, becoming more eccentric/possibly more skilled. Hope that plays into the plot. And we learn a little bit about Zero day. So wait, they've had Gamer Drivers and have been using them to deal with the Bugsters for 5 years?!? Wow. In that case, Emu's pretty late to the conflict, just as shit is heating up. And thank you Ex-aid writers for having characters of the week I don't care about not be the main focus of the episode and further along the overall story arc. Although I hope the hospital gets tighter security in the future given 2 kids in 3 episodes have escaped. Emu lost his Gashat? Wow. He'll probably get it back next episode though. I have no idea why the main Rider is forced to have a fight scene in every episode. Main Riders can't lose their powers for more than 1 episode for some reason because of this, as shown by stuff like Wizard. I'm not a big fan of the bugsters talking (asides from the one Parad hangs out with), everything they say just all seems pointless to me. Unless the individual viruses' sentience is an important part of the plot later, I'd rather it be that they are nonverbal monsters like Ryuki and Gaim. I think it would also make their threat a lot more foreboding. This uncaring freak disease that comes from both bological and technological sources and takes familiar traits from both is a hell of a lot more interesting concept. |
I want ot call this now. Brave said that Snipe was responsible to him losing something/one. I'm saying it was his father, the Director. And the Director that we have now is a Program like Asuna/Poppy. Hence his sudden attitude changes and ocassional glitches.

all the ideas above could work just matters on how dark they want to make this show

Oh, thank goodness. Three episodes in, and I've liked each more than the one that preceded it. Between this and the Bang Rey-enhanced Zyuohger, and I haven't been this interested in Super Hero Time since Kyoryuger and Gaim were paired.
GreenPsychoRanger's theory sounds likely, and I think it's the most interesting thing they could do with that. The kid giving Poppy a NOPE was perfect. (I'm also on the page, as I really like the actress as Asuna.) |
Late to this episode, but I enjoy this episode. Ex-Aid is on a good start and I hope it will keep on becoming good.

This was a pretty exciting episode. I completely love Emu more with how he cares about the patient and making the kid get over his fears more than he worried about losing his gashat. I am intrigued with what both Graphite took from Taiga and who Taiga took from Hiiro 5 years ago, the whole start with the Bugster virus is intriguing. I loved Emu's courage and taking all those attacks to help save the kid was amazing and brilliant for him. Taiga is intriguing to me, I know he's reckless and self-centered but he isn't the first Kamen Rider to be that way and I think he'll expand over time. I think he's totally kickass and I loved his Bullet attack in his Level 1 form. I also love that his finishing attack is Bang Bang Critical Strike lol. I can't wait to see how Emu gets his Gashat back and how Lazer is as a Rider.
