Oh wow. I like the way this looks better than Kabuto himself. If it weren't so expensive, I'd pick this up.

In early I mean there are a bunch of other Riders, main and secondary, they could have touched upon that would have sold just as well. If not better in some cases. Releasing a figure with a new paint job, just nine releases after the original one, feels like a cash grab to me. And I don't see how the Hopper brothers, who to my knowledge were deigned to be similar, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're released as a two pack personally, is the same as this situation.

I don’t get what your issue is. They follow a pattern with Shinkocchou Seihou, we get a new main Rider every now and then (based on how old the original figure was) and Bandai recently decided to also do secondary or other Riders from the same show through the Web-Shop. This is what they’re doing with this subline right now.

How is releasing Dark Kabuto, a repaint which isn’t all that popular to be honest, through Tamashii Nations as a show exclusive an issue? Like, do you think this steals the place of another figure which now is never being made or something?

What Den-O meant is that both Dark Kabuto and the Hoppers are basically repaints, so why should the Hopper Bros. and Dark Kabuto be on the backburner just because they’re repaints? They’re doing Kabuto currently so why not release some repaints every now and then?

Also let’s not forget that these repaints actually portray characters from the show. This is not like Transformers or TMNT where Hasbro / Playmates pull 10 decos out of their butts just to sell the same mold again and again.

Kamen Rider is a great franchise! I haven't watched this show yet, but the heros look great!

These look great. The suit designs for this series always impressed me. Though I must admit, it took a bit for the show to grow on me. Tendo reminded me a lot of Kusaka from Faiz, and well... I hated that guy. But somehow, Tendo being an insufferable asshole became slightly charming, and at least he wasn't just downright evil. He was arrogant, because he really was just that good.
Dark Kabuto just seemed to come out of nowhere though.

Dark Kabuto was a pretty interesting idea in the series, especially the mystery surrounding the "man in the iron mask" but once they actually revealed who he was, the show didn't do enough to make him relevant. (I think a lot of this is probably because Hiyori's actress got sick around this time)

It's funny. I'm about halfway through Kabuto, and until this review, I wasn't entirely clear about the relationship between the ZECT gun/axe and kunai. It's a neat idea in keeping with the theme of the rest of Kabuto, something housed within something else. I just can't recall ever seeing them make the transition from one to the other on the show.

I'm not generally eager to pick up "dark version of the main Rider" figures, but they generally look really good, and this is no exception. The difference between this and the original release is mildly shocking. Figuarts have come a long way.

Cool but I stand by my usual mentality that if it can't cast off, I wont buy it. Otherwise i'd be broke 100% of the time when it comes to Kabuto figures lol.

I always dig the "evil" rider concept and Dark Kabuto was my first. This figure looks amazing.

I wonder why Bandai decided to go for the hinged wrists instead of the standard ball peg. I feel like it removes some articulation from the hands.

Kabuto is a series I need to see. I love his suit.

While I don't much care for Dark Kabuto the character, the suit was admittedly a pretty good one for an evil repaint. And this mold is one of my all time favorites. Would love to get this one day, but for now great pictures like these will have to do.

Dark Kabuto was always pretty cool to me. The design of him is pretty interesting, instead of just being black he's got a cool pattern to him. The yellow eyes are always a great addition and blend well with the new color scheme.

Only just started watching Kabuto after the last gallery, and not up to this guy yet. Not sure if I will going by some of the comments here.

My favorite of the dark riders! This is a must own for me.

I like the colors

While the color scheme of dark kabuto is amazing I still have to say I like Gattack's figure better. There's something about the design and the metallic blue that works so well in the figure.

Still, a great improvement over its previous version!

I loved the SS Kabuto but stupidly passed. I really wish this wasn't an exclusive.

I still to this day find it odd how well the Kabuto design works for both a hero and villain... Definitely one of the more creative recolours for a dark rider!
