A kid ranger is definitely going to be interesting. But since they're all aliens or robots what if he's just a really short bear alien? RyuteiKyurenOh is kind of disappointing since Pink, Gold, and Silver are left out. Also I can't help but notice why Orange is part of RyuteiOh?! Is there a reason or will Orange, Pink, Gold, and Silver take turns combining with RyuteiOh?

Well it is more that plus Shurikenger I.e. Fire Mode from the looks of it. Because if they made him grow the moment he transforms the sofubi would not be portraying him in his actual stature. I am interested in how he and Stinger will get along as they have stated in that pamphlet the two will be partners. In a sense I see it as him being the Robin to Stinger's Batman, specifically the Dick Grayson or Tim Drake years.

I'm reminded of the same way, but I consider that a negative. Though I do like cluster f-inal combos. Though more like Ultimate Daibouken, Engine G12, & Go-Buster King and less like Samurai Ha-Oh (which RyuteikyurenOh also reminds me of) & Cho Cho ToQ-DaiOh.
I'm hoping future combos will build up the legs & arms, add shoes, or completely mix things up. I especially worry about the dragon suffering Build Dai-Oh's fate and becoming some platform to ride on if something else replaces it as a backpack for a future combo.

Are Koguma and Ohguma forms going to require two different Kyutamas?

Curious as to how they'll handle a kid hero - I haven't seen Dairanger and ToQger mostly doesn't count - but I'm bummed that it's another male. Would a little gender balance kill this series? (Then again, we still don't know how they'll handle a cast this size.)

I could honestly see it go either way. A suit+voice actor would probably be easier for them to do, but if they did that we'd have more suited rangers than human (looking) ones. Plus having a kid that looks human would probably be more relatable to the audience, which I imagine is one of the main reasons they'd do a kid ranger in the first place. Hard to say though.

From the looks of it yes. He uses the standard seiza blaster like the main 9 and they stated in the scan that he uses ohguma to grow big so I dont think we will have something like Para-DX's gashat.
Ohguma is not a power-up but more like a booster kyutama in that it gives him an ability but not power him up like Kyoryu Red Carnival or Hyper ToQ 1 from the looks of it.

It would be nice to have another girl but if there was three or more girls on one sentai team the universe would implode and we can't have that, don't you know marketing.
But no with a cast that big the idea of only a two girl max is just dumb and seems pointless really it might hurt the show if the cast keeps growing to let's say 14 members and only one seventh apposed to most modern series were the main cast was one third female. Honestly if either Yellow was a girl I think it wouldn't hurt toy sales at all since on they are already selling a pink Mech by itself and a main Robo having two out of its' five mech being pilot by girls is nothing new.

Anyway aside from that complaint I do like how the toy line is shaping up and seeing every mech getting a ranger is always cool to me as long as they don't leave the keys to Red for no reason and having a team that is already tied for largest sentai team by Q2 is awesome

I think it's a neat way to work in the Ursa major/minor into the ranger's power set.

That photo of the two mecha combine is ugly and lazy. It just feels cheap that the other mecha is just a backpack what a crappy idea.

The combined mode reminds me of the first Giant Saver combiner. I love it. Gonna hold my full judgement till stage 3 though.

Hopefully they don't do what they did with Assault Saver. Though I do wish for a tiger and turtle voyager now since we have a blue wolf anf purple dragon now so we can get a new Crack Saver.

I personally saw it more like the Buster Ohranger Robo/Zeo Megabattlezord combination, honestly. Like, it's the same sort of idea, two mechas combine by attaching themselves back-to-back (or in RyuteiKyurenOh's case, back-to-front) and the head of the back mecha attaches to the front mecha (Red Puncher's head becoming a helmet for Ohranger Robo, and RyuteiOh's head becoming a chestpiece for KyurenOh).

Hmm that a tough question to answer you know. I feel that the mecha was made the way it is because boa wanted it to be like zord builder. This is why I don't like the toys of this mecha at all. You can just see the cheapness in these zords with very little to no transformation at all. Just move arms up and down and to much grey color as well. Also the orbs don't have a button that moves them around like Kyoryuger battier had you know. The lights and sounds are nice but that just it.

What I hate the most about this toy line is just how much did boa fuck it up you know. I have to wonder if boj or toei had something else design that was better before boa made it cheap and lazy.

I think you are overestimating the input that BOA had. I highly doubt PLEX/TOEI/BOJ made something then let America come in cheapen it up. I think the input was there with suit designs, and maybe mecha in terms of what would appeal to American buyers, but let's be real.

BOJ found that American buyers are big on the MCU tactical armor look, and really like space themed PR from the past. BOJ took that and gave us this. I think that's how it went.
