To be fair, I think Dark Necrom P was less of a "Kamen Rider is sexist" problem, and more of a "Ghost was a trainwreck" problem.

I blame Tackle, honestly. I'm pretty sure the constant stream of female rider deaths are largely an homage to her, which I get, but hoo boy what an unfortunate thing to homage.

That said, I have high hopes for Poppy, and the brainwashing eyes makes me think she'll last for a while at least- they have to show the normal eyes at some point, so they likely won't have to kill her after just a couple episodes. Hopefully.

Honestly, I think just the fact that they have this whole press release and big story about "First! Heroine!! Rider!!!" will keep them from just doing off with her. They're calling attention to it themselves. I can't see them do something like reversing it after just a couple of episodes. Just seems like bad publicity.

Plus unlike most female Riders she actually has a toy, so they're gonna want to promote that. And the toy comes out like a month after her debut, so that should be at least that long guaranteed. Marika may have also died in the end but she was still in the show for a good 30 or so episodes, likely because toys. No reason to think Poppy won't also last a while.

Maybe Poppy and Chronos in LVUR Action Figure will be Premium Bandai Exclusive like Marika and Sigurd Arms Change Series from Gaim....

Another thing that I'm thinking about though: When's the last time we've had 4 Riders that were all good guys at the same time? It's an odd little thing to note, but ever since after early Heisei, if you have 4+ Riders in a show, at least one is evil.


The closest I can remember from recent memory was Gaim, but nobody in that show was ever a good guy around the same time, at least during the actual series.

Funny thing you guys mention Necrom P though. I'm still trying to figure out why they even bothered with that Rider. I can only assume that they wanted to sell more toys, but I don't even know if she got an toy Eyecon made for her.

Last time would be...Ex-Aid's first arc, I guess? Snipe was admittedly more anti-hero than hero at the time, but considering Genm was running around he couldn't really be called a villain in comparison. Though Kiriya's death put a quick end to that regardless.

And yeah, none of the Dark Necroms got toys. I think maybe they just wanted to establish that "hey! this is a thing!" so they don't have to explain where the Dark Necroms in the movie came from.

And Gaim, at the end. Gaim, Knuckle, Gridon, Bravo, Baron and Marika were all on the same side for a good chunk after Kiwami and before Lord Baron.

Ooo fair enough, although I should have clarified I was thinking in terms of characters who are part of the main cast.
