I love the space ship for Hooh Soldier and the role paly sword and shield.

I don't like the suit for Hoho Soldier could have been better.

The Shishi Red Orion very badass suit from red to white. I want to see more of this suit hopefully the full scan will come out soon.

I'm a bit disappointed that Argo doesn't seem to have a voyager.

However, I've got to say, the Cerberus voyager looks pretty cool. I love that each of the heads represents a different kind of dog, rather than having three identical heads. It also makes me wonder if the summer movie will involve the Herakles Kyutama, considering Cerberus doesn't have a sound in the Blaster.

Even better, if the rumors are true, then Cerberus will combine with the Tenbin, Hebitsukai, and Washi voyagers, which would allow every voyager to be part of a mech! I've got to admit, that's pretty awesome if it's true.

I was thinking this is more of a homage to Gosei Ultimate and Bragigas.

We haven't seen the full catalogue, so it could be forthcoming. Is this catalog considered second quarter or third quarter?

Third. First was the main nine, second was RyuCommander and KogumaSkyBlue.

I get Gosei Ultimate cause of the shape, but I can't find any commonality between Bragigas and Gigant HoOh.

I'm just saying GigaPhoenix had to have crossed someone's mind during the creation of Gigant HoOh cause like, they're two letters and one translation of the same word away from each other. :lol

HoOh Soldier looks like a trooper-type Ranger than a full Ranger. Also, really? Yet another power up for Red? Well considering that Daigo is pretty much the most beloved and the greatest Ranger of all time every subsequent Reds must have their own power ups while neglecting other members isn't it?

Wow I didn't know it was that many teams that had upgrade. Also you forgot to include the Kyoryugers armed on since it an upgrade for the core 5.

The Kyu of Kyuranger got all the focus of.... 7 episodes and now we're going into Juniranger, but not for a little bit of course. RyuCommander and Ho-Oh Soldier are my favorites at the moment. I feel like Pega could be used by the others, so Red only has two separate power-ups, which is boring.

The show still feels like a jumbled mess and no one is really getting time to shine. Hammy and Spada tell you their backstories in an episode each, but we don't see anything (at least for Hammy, I am an episode or two behind). Second and fourth episodes are probably the better of the series, right now. Ex-Aid took like... 20 something episodes to really hammer out; can that happen to Kyuranger faster?

You know what'd be neat?
If there were additional Kyutama that could form power ups like Mr. Pega.
They all don't have to be sentient, but what would make them special is that it would be a different Kyutama for each member.

That way, even when Lucky is going on his 13th special upgrade, everyone else would still have their special armor upgrade to call their own, too.

But yeah I think if they can somehow find a way to be resourceful and give the others power ups too that would be nice.

Honestly, if the budget can fit in 3 more rangers in addition to another suit for Lucky, then I think they need to reevaluate it, because this is ridiculous.
I don't think it'd be so extreme to make 8 more special armor pieces for the other rangers.

Don't forget that their budget also includes two of each mecha for arm and leg mode.

So rather then being a sixth ranger, is Ryu Commander is more like Hurricanger's Gouraiger? Kind of apart of the team but also kind of not at the same time? Actually, he sounds just like Deka Master if he had a unique changer...

Maybe they should rename Super Sentai as Red & Cannon Fodders then lol. But seriously, having ultra focus on Red is tiring.

Well the Kyoryugers didn't really count, since Armed On mostly acts as their access to their personal weapons.

My my, the scans said Orion form is basically ShishiRed's Kiwami Arms (by utilizing other Kyurangers' powers). Way to go........

I still think Ryu Commander is the team's Deka Master aka not a proper '6th' Ranger, but HoOh Soldier doesn't seem to be the 'DekaBreak' of the team for me. Maybe he is, who knows.

Jesus Kyuranger...I'm already losing my patience and it's only 9 episodes in.

The final form thing would be way cooler if it was actually all 9 Kyurangers fused into one being instead of just Lucky absorbing all their powers.

I'll be honest, I'm not too bothered by ShishiRed Orion requiring all of the other 8 Kyurangers powers to be used. And it's not like we haven't seen this sort of power-up before, like with the Triassic Ranger from Dino Thunder or Kiwami Arms from Kamen Rider Gaim. Granted, it's a little annoying that it's just Lucky getting it, but eh, he's not the worse Red Ranger I've ever seen.

Are you really surprised though? Numbers keep getting bigger and bigger but at the end of the day, Red's the only one that really matters. I wouldn't mind Red being the only one to get a power up if it wasn't for the fact that its been done so many times in a row now. Its kind of ironic that Kamen Rider, and Ultraman somewhat, handles teams much better then sentai does these days.

If the name doesn't involve their color and the word "Ranger," they wouldn't use it.

The Triassic Ranger only needed 2 other rangers' powers, not the full team, and Kiwami could mimic other Lockseed weapons. He didn't steal/drain every other lockseed's powers to use it.

I'm a little surprised, actually. I was hoping, with a team of 9, we could have a big dynamic going.
But unlike other Sentai, that can give 3 rangers a lot of personality out of a team of 6, this one is content giving 1 ranger everything and just sitting on the other 9.
Honestly, by the end of Kyuranger, the only other ranger I can see changing from how they are right now is Naga learning to have emotions.

The issue isn't just 'Red ranger gets all the toys' but it's also that out of our now 11 Rangers in the show only one is getting a good amount of screen time every episode and all the other characters are more interesting than Lucky. Stinger? Champ? Screw those, we need more YOSHA LUCKYYYYYY! Spada and Hammy having next to no personality (Though Spada's developing a bit)? Doesn't matter, YOSHA LUCKYYYY

I may bitch a lot, but here's the thing, Sentai is supposed to be a team series, an ensemble series. Having Red as the main focus, as well as him being the only one who gets all the power ups, destroys the motif altogether.

One of the reasons why people love Gokaiger so much is that the main characters are nicely written and each have time to shine in the spotlight. And frankly, a lot of episodes where Red doesn't even hog the screentime. Let's take a look at Kyuranger. Even if the episode focuses on other Kyurangers, Lucky is still somehow involved in the main plot of the episode.

I know Japan loves their shonen protagonists (hence maybe why Toei wants to focus on Red all the time, because he's their shonen hero) but frankly, those shonen protagonist are often overshadowed by other characters from their own franchise. Like Naruto, a lot of people prefer Sasuke, etc.

And it really sucks that even Kamen Rider tends to give spotlight to their supporting characters as well.

Hmmmm....the final mecha is a Kyutama version of of the Zyuohger final mecha. But I do love the Cerberus combo. And the Kyuren-Oh and RyuTei-Oh combo isn't that monstrous.... *is only half lying*

Well this may make a good case for buying the DX Cockpit sets since the only things from the previous mecha utilized in the final? combination are the kyutama's.

Also, it looks like yet another year with a final? combination with no real hands. *sigh*

I'll still buy them but I must admit I'm a little underwhelmed. Hopefully the sounds and what not make up for it. Zyuohger at least had fun albeit simple transformations.

So in the image ShinGi has discovered, it says HoOh soldier is a "new Red appears" and Shishi Red Orion as "ultimate power" as well as "the power of 9 combined!".
This confirms pretty much that Shishi Red Orion is the Abare Max of the show.
And HoOh Soldier feels like an homage to Time Fire from the looks of it but that is just me.

- The Triassic Ranger needed powers from the others as well, it's just that Ethan and Kira had to continually provide theirs. Tommy and Trent provided their share earlier on. I forget why Ethan and Kira had to provide their powers more often, but I know for a fact that Tommy and Trent had to give theirs as well.

- Did you not remember that Kiwami Arms is literally formed by combining all of the other Armors together? And that there are multiple copies of Lockseeds (like we've seen multiples of Mango, Strawberry, and the Energy Lockseeds), so of course it's not draining/stealing the Lockseeds of the other Riders.

Like I understand why people aren't too happy with this at all, but I feel like it's being overblown when other stories have done this sort of thing as well. Not to mention that we don't know if there's any sort of side-effect or limit to using the Saiko Kyutama. Like is there a time limit that forces it to be used only once per mission? Or does it need some time to recharge before being used again? Or does it strain Lucky's body whenever he uses it?

Hell, I'd say that there's a good in-story reason for why to use it: If they're divided into teams on different missions/are not chosen for that specific mission, Lucky could use the Saiko Kyutama to utilize the powers of the members that aren't there in case the need arises.

The issue is Sentai is more team based and having a stupidly large cast just to have one guy basically use all of their unique abilities himself is not just a cop out, it means the characters lose justification to be on the team. And the biggest issue is that Kyuranger's doing this. "How so?" Because Kyuranger is a MESS when it comes to sharing screentime. Hammy doesn't have much of a personality, Spada took a few episodes for more than his character being a chef, Garu's loyal I guess, Champ got cut short so Stinger could get screentime, but now none of that seems to really matter when YOSHA LUCKY invalidates them. I want to see more of Naga, Balance, Stinger, Raptor and Spada but Lucky is all we need, never mind the Kyulette ALWAYS being rigged to have Lucky because we need a mech and only Lucky can provide KyurenOh
