I think Jet Combat Gashat based on Ace Combat PC Game. Also, Combat Gamer has shark teeth like some of Ace Combat jets.
|
Wow I keep saying this but people we need to go easy on the next rider series. So are we still on Level 3 of the story? Or is this now Level 4? These writers just wow. They even treated this like it was the final episode with the theme song playing. Where is this story going to go?

Guys
Ren's death means there's no Gashatrophy to be gained from Tokimeki Crisis. The only 3 characters that have an antibody against his virus are Masamune (Chronus) Emu (Ex-Aid) And... Hiiro's dad. If this actually means something I will lose my shit |
Super Random thought:
Since Ex-aid is game theme i kinda want KR Ex-aid game with JRPG gameplay lol like Persona 5 or something or fighting game but with Guilty gear graphic, IF only Bandai give budget to make faboulus KR games which is impossible :D |

Also, Hiiro's dad when Lovlica got defeated, hilarious! |

This mean theoretically, Hiiro's dad could actually potentially become Chronos unless other Bugsters get axed |

I have...mixed feelings about the developments with Masamune here. I feel like him being the true psychopath/mastermind kind of takes away from the character of Kuroto, or is too similar. Like I was hoping he'd be Cronus because he was angry at the world for his son betraying him and killing his wife...but we don't know all the details yet, and at this point I feel like I should just trust Ex-Aid, it knows what it's doing. Cronus himself was awesome of course, and Masamune has a lot of charisma. I really like his whole calling-people-by-their-gashats deal, though it seems weird that he knew the names of Maximum Mighty X and Perfect Knockout. Maybe he took time to check the gashat labels while time was frozen, since he apparently took the time to set up candles and the weird clock thing. :p Also, is that where Hiiro's dad has been this whole time? Off being a Ride-Player? Hilarious. It was really nice to actually see what Hiiro's relationship with his weird dad is like, after all this time. And I've been wondering what happened to the proto gashats ever since Kuroto's death, glad they addressed that! Next episode looks like it'll be an interesting one after the set up here. |
It will be really interesting if Haima Kagami (Hiiro's dad) will become good version of Chronos..
Hmm.....maybe light blue and white color combinations (like Brave) is good choice for Haima as Chronos... If Haima become Chronos, I hope he will has longer role as Rider than Edith when he become Dark Ghost.... |

Also, forgot to mention in my last post, I don't quite get why Kuroto would program Cronus into KRC in the first place? Why would he design the Bugvisor Zwei to only work with bugsters? Why program Cronus so that the only person he knew who could use it was his mortal enemy? It's obviously something Masamune wanted in there, but I don't get why Kuroto wouldn't have seen that idea and removed it. |

And BOY DOES HE WORK IT. He puts Clock Up, Slowdown, Type Formula, and Accel to shame. First time I was able to catch the Taima feed, and I am so glad. Even unsubbed, I was super pumped watching this episode. And it makes sense that the creator of Genm Corp would be the one who is even more of an ego maniac than his son. The combination of Zombie Mighty Brothers was as expected, but still, what a ride this episode was. Just like any good Final Fantasy game, you're going to need to either find all the secret weapons, or you're going to go home in a body bag. Cronuts is a beast. |

I do count time freeze as an equivalent or better to the super speed Rider powerups. It's legitimate, can possibly be countered, but damn if it doesn't work well to beat down. |

Anyone think that Masamune just stopped time to set up the giant clock, candles and spotlights himself just to make a dramatic entrance? Dunno about the nighttime though. Unless he just froze time in a specific spot and just waited until nighttime to set everything up.

So what video game genre is Cronus based off of?
Makes sense for him to be an MMORPG |
Augmented Reality MMORPG, yeah.

awesome episode.
just wished the fight was longer before Masamune interuppt. Too bad Ren only lasted 5 appearances but will miss his whackiness. His death marks another serious turn of events. Too bad no last words...he just died like that. With Kuroto's explanation about Cronus, you would think he wanted Poppy to seek out Emu because he knew Emu would be a possible candidate for Cronus and possibly win the game? Makes me rethink that Kuroto isnt really a villain deep down...oh what the heck, he was acting like a freaking maniac for a whole 10 episodes lol. hopefully Hiiro doesnt turn on his buddies unless Hiiro get his level 100 gashat from Masamune's secret stash or something. |
Oh my god, Cronus is so intimidating and overpowered! I love it! I am extremely excited to see more of him. On another note though, Hiiro's potential betrayal next episode looks SO juicy. Time to sit around waiting for the next episode again...

Hiiros father was my least favorite character but they managed to make him very interesting in this episode. Im gonna miss Lovelica , his actor was very fun and the reaction of the Bugsters was pretty heartbreaking. Cronus, well he has to have the best debut of any rider ever.
|
That Clocking Rider Kick. Just that, that clocking rider kick.
And it makes sense that Dan Masamune would be Cronus. Unlike his son or Lovelica, he is a businessman. He runs his company to earn money and be a productive member of society. It is in the best interests of Genm Corporation to keep Kamen Rider Chronicle online. That revenue doesn't flow in itself, you know? And why compare him to Banno? Kuroto is Banno. Masamune actually has a solid goal even if it is to make money off a conflict between Bugsters and Humanity. But they really should give Graphite some more scenes. |

But I can see that there are enough similarities between Banno and Masamune for your point to stand. Banno and Masamune both treated their wives harshly (well, I remember Kiriko from Drive saying that her mother would a sad look her face when her father mentioned but I have no further proof of Banno's behaviour towards his wife), both are connected to female lead ( Banno is Kiriko's father, Masamune is Poppy's host's husband ) and both spent a long time imprisoned (Banno was imprisoned in a tablet while Masamune was in the slammer) So yes, I see your point although I still believe that Kuroto is more to Banno than Masamune. |

Not actually a picture from this week, but relevant nonetheless. Stellar episode, but again, I probably don't need to tell anyone that: - So when WAS the last time we saw Hiiro's dad? It was definitely before all this Kamen Rider Chronicle business started happening, right? I'm surprised they didn't make a bigger deal out of this than they did. Seriously, why was he gone that long? Was the actor doing something else? Because usually when that happens they actually write the character out of the show for a bit. Or did Yuuya Takahashi decide there was just no room for a clown like that in his serious, grim story that has never, ever, in its entire run, once been afraid to completely undermine its own tone with goofy nonsense (case in point: immediately cutting from Chronus' brutal killing of Lovelica to Hiiro's dad being happy for half a second and then cutting right back), because that doesn't add up at all. It all just strikes me as very odd. - You know, I'm actually really sad Shin-chan is right back to using Dangerous Zombie. When it showed up I thought I liked it more than his simple palette swap days but frankly now I think he not only looked cooler, but also more evil and intimidating that way. The whole bone white, spiky, cracked visor look is a definitely a better fit for the character, but only in that it reeks of trying way too hard to seem cool. Totally unlike me and my apparent need to be the dissenting voice on literally everything... - And Shin-chan's dad is Chronus! I guess the tree doesn't fall far from the apple! Wait... Well anyway that's actually a choice so obvious I'd completely glossed over the idea figuring they'd want to make it a surprise. Not a bad thing though. It always seemed like he'd have a bigger role to play eventually. I guess Shin-chan's whole family is just f***ed up, then? Maybe by the end of the series it will actually make sense to me why all these gaming company guys feel the need to rule the world. - Also, Chronus stole Wizard's coat, boo! Not cool, man. I guess there wasn't a spare Hurricane Style one lying around too, given the red. While we're on the subject of Chronus not being cool: making Parad sad. Absolutely unforgivable. And I didn't even like Lovelica! - Also also, Chronus is pretty cool. I like that Kamen Rider remembered you don't have to constantly have BGM playing for the first time in years to make his time pausing antics hit that much harder. - He's not even that tough though."Oh no, I can stop time guys! Watch out, I'm so cool!". Meanwhile Emu is over here like "Bro I can literally hack the game to work however I want. Assuming I can be bothered to remember that's a thing I can do..." |

It does seem to me that Emu can sometimes struggle to get a clean hit in with his reprogramming ability, since it kind of needs to charge or whatever. Meanwhile pausing takes no time at all, so Cronus has the advantage there. It's kind of like comparing Kuuga and Kabuto, like sure if Kuuga got a clean hit on Kabuto he would probably explode violently, but that requires HITTING Kabuto. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Although when you give the hero an ability that's basically magic, I do wonder what exactly the limits are. Like, could Emu just reprogram himself to be completely invincible or something? Or maybe that's exactly how he'll get Muteki Gamer and I'm being prophetic again. I never know with Ex-Aid. :lol |

There are more similarities between Ryoma and Kuroto than Banno and Kuroto. Both Ryoma and Kuroto are geniuses that can't stand the heroes using something stronger and not created by them. They both want to create a perfect world that fits their ideals for themselves. Masamune is like Banno 2.0. They both act innocent and gave tips to the heroes at first, but they reveal their true colors after being released from imprisonment. They both gain a rider form that looks like an upgrade to the heroes' base form and both of their voices actually sound quite similar too. |
