I will give Ex-Aid some credit. They certainly knew how to theme each Rider to match the ridiculousness of the on-going aesthetic.

I think though, it's the eyes I can't get past. And the driver. But mainly the eyes. Level 1 I hated but forgave quickly when it started moving past that into other forms quickly, but now what is it? Level 99? Back to the Level 1 again but with a tiny head that's also the same head on the chest poking out the top?

I would have been okay with it minus the chestface. Then I would have seen it as "Robot Ride Armor" from Mega Man X.

Which means the Kamen Rider Capsules probably are too?
...Or not. I don't see the kanji for 'Kamen Rider' by that power up set.

Either way, what does it say? It mentions August, I think. Is that when we'll get to see him?

You nailed the translation part no worries there. I am interested in this plant-ahead tactic they seem to be going with. Because I don't think collectibles ever were sold prior to the show as far as I can remember.

Actually, it's happened a few times. Not only did Ghost sell the Newton Eyecon with Drive's movie set, Fourze sold one of his early switches with OOO's movie set and Wizard sold one of his early rings with Fourze's movie set.

Seeing the silhouette makes me hopeful, we have a trim Kamen Rider again. Something we haven't really had since OOO. No rocket head, long coat, spoiler hat, samurai helmet, or spikey hair. Also getting a real KR 1 vibe.

Wizard Rings started selling during Fourze's movie if I recall correctly.

It could be something like that where a sample of next year's Rider gimmick gets packed in with whatever Ex-Aid's summer movie toy release ends up being.

Yeah, it appears to hearken back to KR1 with the helmet and the "bandana" - however, if you look closely, the "antenna" on the helmet are not uniform and the "bandana" is probably not that, judging from the neck area. I think it's a swerve.

Also, the bottle gimmick could work alongside a capsule gimmick; capsule could very well refer to pills, which could be dropped into the bottle, altering it's desired effects.

It seems to be mixing an exercise and building / creation motif (ala Minecraft, sans video game aesthetic), though not necessarily construction based.

In any case... Very Odd.

Ex-Aid's Summer Movie releases are the Mighty Creator VRX Gashat and Hurricane Ninja Gashat - both sold separately and, according to their catalog, alone.

I can't believe the Kamen Rider Capsule thing was a legit leak. Construction worker enery drinks sounds about the right level of insane though. Curious to see Build not in silhouette, since the design looks like it might be a patchwork from what we can see!

I expect a lot of the design work is already done so if we're screwed we have been for a while. I certainly hope not though.

One thing that I find very interesting, is that the "capsule" silhouettes are different, which may mean that each gimmick item has unique molding like the Switches, medals, and shift cars, rather than repaints like the eyecons, and gashats.

There's a guy on /r/kamenrider who claims to intern at Toei. He said the following:

-Build is a scientist.
-Build is red/blue split along the diagonal in the scan.
-Build's eyes are different colours depending on which side they're on.
-The bar on the right of the driver holds the bottles.
-The bar on the left is down, slowing that Build is transformed. If it's up he's untransformed.

Good catch! It's two different textures, with the honeycomb to the upper-left and a hard-to-define purple pattern to the lower-right. I also hadn't noticed the different shapes to the bottles/capsules/presumable-collectibles. This plus the asymmetry of the helmet (which looks like it has a crest in two completely different shapes) evokes the build-a-Rider vibe of W and OOO. I could easily see the two bottles representing - providing, really - each motif on the crest (and presumably chest given the asymmetrical shoulder detail.)

Given the gear logo - and I assume this is the real logo for the series - "Build-a-Rider" sounds more likely to me than construction or bodybuilding. Given Toei's love of multiple meanings, though, watch it be come combination of those things.

Given that W already did a Rider split down the middle and OOO was split into three sections, I'm curious about how they'd implement this (assuming these guesses are in the right ballpark.) Actually, come to think of it, the logo and the background of the bottles suggests a diagonal split in a very specific shape. I'm wondering if the suit will do something exactly like that, only in multiple segments: diagonal-split helmet and diagonal-split suit.

Hm. Perhaps the right crest and shoulder details aren't part of a second half, but are instead part of the suit's base design, so everything above the split is the "build-on" part of the Rider. (Well, or everything below the split.) I'm imagining a retail toy line in which the figure has a partially hollow chest - and maybe helmet - that can be fitted with different build-ins.

With all that said, I am strongly hoping that the bar that projects to the left at waist level is an item kept secured to the back and not, y'know. An incredibly impractical piece at the front of the Driver. I wouldn't bet on it, though, since Driver design hasn't been trending more practical, and that thing looks suspiciously like it could be a lever.

If he's legit, my guess is he won't be interning much longer.

Maybe it's referring to a preview set like ghost had in drives surprise future set? They also sold the Ore eyecon prior to the release of the series if I remember correctly.

Here's my random, shot-in-the-dark, based-on-very-little-info prediction...

1: Build will be a back-to-basics robot/cyborg/android. (This explains the gears.)

2: His gimmick will be an ability to swap limbs and pieces of his body for other parts. (This explains the fragmented, asymmetrical look of the silhouette.)

3: The bottles are filled with either an Enetron-like or engine oil-like fluid that powers/lubricates/manifests Build's machine parts.

Again, this is based on almost nothing, and I don't really care if I'm right or wrong. :lol

They're probably like Rider Cards, O Medals, Wizard Rings, Shift Cars and Ghost Eyecons - in that they have no sounds or lights, and it's the Driver that does instead.

I'm actually concerned now. The design's shaping out to be great. Post Double Rider rules dictate that a good design for the main Rider means the show will likely be mediocre or bad. See Fourze's dumb head, Ex-Aid's dumb hair, Gaim's fruit salad, etc. :p

Probably 'THE GEAR SYMBOL HAS 10 BITS POKING OUT!'. Some are convinced Ex-Aid's final form having 9 spikes on his head if you count the visor was deliberate too

Good is obviously subjective, this seems especially true for tokusatsu since things change so much so often, but its hard to *completely* ignore that statement when looking at the general opinion on both shows and suit designs, at least during the show's run, from Fourze onward.

I actually really liked Gaim's suits as well as Ex-aid's. Drive had some awesome suits too, so I don't what you're trying to say?
