Not much new to add. That fight was surprisingly quick, but still managed to convey how terrifying facing a Hazard form is. That moment of RabbitTank Hazard standing still in dead silence as the ceiling light swung over him in was especially great.

I'll need to make a make a post later about how good the rest of the episode was, right now I can't stop thinking about that fight.

Hazard Build was insane I love it. This was the darkest ep of build so far and I can see it getting more dark in the future.

Btw what happen when he was training with Blood Stalk when build use turtle and watch bottles and it cut off to grease? Could someone explain?

No it wasn't it happen right at the end of the ep.

Nothing happened. He just transformed into TurtleWatch form off-screen and continued to train with Stalk for some time. All there is to it.

The cinematography, the acting, the lighting.
This felt more like an artistic movie than an episode, damn.
All within an episode runtime,this guy is first modern kamen rider with some real acting chops.

I'm so glad they're diversifying, evolving cos this is what we need.

I think the show's writer (Shogo Muto) also deserves some credit. Maybe KR and Sentai should take in more writers with non-tokusatsu backgrounds to write their shows.

This is like a treat to older toku fans who can't sit down to watch water down toku and even more water down compares to when they were kids where even dragonball was all punching,mistakes, high stakes, and sort of permanent deaths.maybe dragonball isn't the best examples, but the bloody action is. Unlike other out of control form like putotyra, w's black and white form I forgot that name of, drive, etc This form doesn't seem to enrage a person, but just mute their emotion and make the user kill like a robot. Literally a killing weapon in the idea of the "deceased" scientist.

Now you got to wonder how some fans and even YouTubers continue to love ninja steel despite bandai of America quality of toys and Saban style of writing while still laugh out on Japanese toku. Besides watering down to having motw fights bland without stakes and emotions. The actings and pacing are horrible. They don't need build type of story, but at least do better at adapting Sentai. I wish dub could be successful in the states, but unlike other part of Asia the majority wouldn't like to watch bad dubs of Asian fighting monsters because of cultural difference and other stuffs on top of that.

Dan is pretty much a meme and joke by the end of the series, but maybe the Vcinemas will change that. Blood stark is cheeky like dj Sagara. He's sort of like the one that knows all, controls all, and also a mentor to Sento in both human and rider like form. I guess next week Sento will somehow defeat Grease without killing him and then income Seito rider and the new transteam gun brothers. Sento will probably make the new gimmick to help him control hazard.

I didn't expect this level of story can pass through the writing room nowadays. They need to hire good non- toku writers too if this is the case. If someone else have written this show then the bottle gimmick wouldn't be that attractive to collectors because there's 60 main ones that the R&D came up with. You need some clever writing to help sell those toys. 30 best matches. I know Sento might tries to use techniques and surprises to trump Grease pure strengths because of the different in hazard level.

In some way I sort of see this like rpm, the last season of an era, the Heisei era, so they're trying to get back in the route of some dark storytelling without excess puns and humors. I'm expecting some big twist coming soon from his past to help sento ease himself and create the new upgrade to control harzard forms or they'll go the route of the main character having an entire personality change. I can't remember the last time the main rider kill someone and regrets it besides Gaim.

Yes. The Youtube specials take place during the week in which Sento is training with new forms to try and raise his Hazard Level.

Total agreement. And in a way, I hate to say it for what is supposed to be a show aimed toward kids to sell merchandise, but it is a reality that violence/war/aggression does hurt in a permanent way.

The fact that these actors SOLD it like this means that it's not just the writing, but the people chosen for this season are just outstanding. I kind of feel like this is what is needed, a real wakeup for some kids to understand what happens when you hurt others. I'm not asking for Afterschool Special levels of guilt trip, but how this was done was just right in my opinion. I freaking wish this was the attitude in the US to take this kind of story and make it stand.

and to be fair the show being as good as it is 'is' selling toys. Because I've bought a bunch of Build merchandise I wouldn't have bought if the show wasn't pulling me in.

I thought the belt was silly with the little crank,..by episode 20 I'm buying a belt and eyeballing the 'sparkling' soda can addition.

I want at least 3 SHF figs (rabbit-tank, cross dragon and grease),..and I'm sure there will be other things that catch my eye. If the show wasn't as good as it is I wouldn't want more merchandise beyond just a single Rider figure to add to the shelf.

I've been a harsh criticizer of the silly costumes,..and I still think most of them are just goofy looking. But the writing and acting and like Leo Novum pointed out even the cinematography is really top notch. i seriously look forward to each weeks new episode and have no idea where the show is eventually going to end up.

I would imagine Gaim toy sales wouldn't be as good as he was if the show was silly with a lot of fillers since the toys and suits kind of turn people off already.

Great episode, loved the shot with the swinging light at the beginning. The location they previously used on Amazons Season 2 weirdly fits this episode a lot :lol

I can't say that I'm 100% on board with Sentou in this episode though as I feel his character would react differently. He'd still be down but letting go this much? I don't know.

Anyways, this show is awesome and I'm happy that it continues to be this good.

This is going to come as a shock, but I disagree with you on this. The thing about Sento is that he very consciously tries to be upstanding in a way I don't think any other Rider protagonist has. All throughout the show he's had tons and tons of dialogue about doing the right thing that shows he's put a lot of thought into all this, and considering he's already been shown to feel guilt for things he doesn't even remember doing, I think it's safe to say a mistake this huge would weigh VERY heavily on the guy.

He never wanted to fight this war in the first place and the only reason he was at all is because he told himself it was about protecting people. I honestly don't think you could ask the show to do a better job building to this point than it did.

Getting Guyver vibes from the show at this point, let us use humanity in order to create a living weapon.

Hazard at least feels like an out of control killing machine with a human center, though Stalk is not happy with the result it seems, he wants something even stronger for whatever plans he has, considering he has been flat out killing people on screen with no issues so far he is either going to be an anti hero character building up for something that requires sacrifices to accomplish, or he is using a human suit and is making weapons for his masters.

Either way, this season is really solid so far, and this episode was despair inducing.

Finding myself thinking about this episode a lot at odd moments.

It's haunting.

Sento's actors facial expressions are probably what carries this episode the most. Even that ugly face he's making as he goes to the spot where he killed Aoba. It was a face that showed such grief. It made you truly believe he was feeling what his character was.

Man, this episode is still on my brain.


One part I haven't seen anybody mentioned....just look at Kazumi when he's trying to hold his men back from trying to kill Sento and Banjo. Look at that face.

This is the episode that really won me over. I was enjoying the show and the characters but this episode proves to me it's just a GOOD SHOW. It jumped multiple levels in the 'shit just got real' category.

On a scale of 1 - 10 maybe I thought the show was like a 7? (I really don't like a lot of the Build costumes and that kept me from truly enjoying it),..but after this episode I think the show is like a 12! It crossed lines and addressed themes (like PTSD) I never thought I'd see on a Kamen Rider show. It's been somewhat on my mind ever since I saw the episode,..and the episode was so heavy I didn't want to watch it a second time,..it's hard to take.

I really feel like I just saw a good man break, and it's hard to watch.

..plus just the simple fact that Hazard Build is scary and I've never seen a Rider I really thought was scary. He definitely seemed like a killing machine and not a human being.

Like The Terminator, or Jason Voorhees.

What really stood out for me at the start of the episode was just how quick and fast Build took down that guy. Being so used to all the calculation graphics for most of the other finishers Then to just see a straight up Kabuto style rider kick was shocking but was also reflective of the state of Sento, normally those graphics are the visualization of what going on in his head, but here there was no thought or planning just raw power... scary.

Isn't Kamen Rider the show you go to if you want to help boost your career? If so then damn these people are guaranteed to have careers after this.

So they are going to break and destroy Sento so they can Build him up.

I just finished watching this episode and it SCREAMS old school KR. As I was watching this it really felt as if I was watching an episode of Agito or Kabuto. The maintained dark theme of this one really made that connection for me. Sento's actor really killed it with the consistent selling. Loved this episode.
