Gentoku already transferred from one "Rogue" name to another, and Cross-Z set the precedent for upgrades having new Rider names instead of just being called "X Form". Not that it matters since Utsumi is already confirmed to be Mad Rogue.

Pretty solid episode. Ryuga continues to be the true main character of Build, and Evolt continues to be entertaining as hell, but I wish they'd explained a bit more how Ryuga was able to regain his powers, or how the Black Hole Trigger absorbed the energy of the Rider Kick. Definitely excited to see where the plot twist about Katsuragi goes though!

He didn't retain his powers. The only reason he got them back is because he stole the Dragon Evol Bottle and used it to transform. It was technically made from a part of him so it made sense that it would allow him to transform again.

That alone would not have allowed him to use it though, even Evolt was shocked by the fact and instantly assumed Banjou had somehow managed to regrow some of the genetic material he took back from him when he possessed him.

It is not unusual for willpower to allow the "impossible" in the franchise though, either way it was probably not just due to the bottle being made from his essence, in before we get a power of the human spirit cliche, mind you I like cliches.

Riders seem to require Evolt to mess with their genetic code in order to become riders in this world, but I assume that for Banjou, Evolt never had to do anything with it since he was born with part of his, he just removed it, but his body likely did regrow it as Evolt assumed, the bottle being made from Banjou likely helped or worked as a catalyst.

I say world since we know Build does not exist in the same dimension as most of the previous seasons.

There was also mention of the injection of Nebula Gas. Everyone that has become a rider has been exposed to the gas at some point in time.

Oh complete forgot to add that part, but yep both are required.

This series should be called 'Oh Banjo'. And star Gentoku as a comedic relief.

My thought after watching this episode is that now we've reached critical pattern mass.

First it's "Oh hey, the Pandora box is a power we must make sure to control, we'll fight for it."
Fights for it, gets slammed, makes the enemy more powerful.

"Oh look, Owner was taken over by Evol, and he's super powerful, we must fight against it."
Fights him, makes him stronger.

"Oh look, Evol is going to get the Evol Driver, he's going to become powerful even more, we must fight against it."
Fights him, hands him the Evol Driver, makes him stronger.

"Oh look, Evol has taken over Banjo, we must fight to get him back and stop him."
Fights him, makes him even stronger.

"Oh look, Evol has taken over Sento, we must fight to get him back."
Fights him, feeds power into the Evol trigger, makes him even stronger.

So yeah. Please for the love of Vernage stop doing that.

Also, I'm now into calling Misora by Ver instead. Because that was cute.

I know some don't like Evol's suit. I just think it's phenomenal. Love the pattern, all of it. And Black Hole form is my jam. Right up there with Cross Z Dragon in any color. Grease is my other favorite but he really deserves a suit upgrade. He's worked hard enough for it.

So if I fart and get touched by an alien, then I can haz super powers? :D

Build until now is pretty much a medicore show. The characters has developments but going nowhere. Evolto is a fun and cool villain so far ( seriously, he made me stick with this show )

Considering Evolto isn't Martian, I wanna believe that the reason he's so strong is that he did breathe it direct from the source.

My guess is that the genetic altering is need to prevent them from turning into Smash when exposed to the gas.

I was expecting him to be ultron. A mistake made by the Martians experiments along with the full bottles. What's the exact link relationship between the box and him anyway?
Build is a good show, but there are a lot of missed opportunities especially with underdeveloped characters like Sawa and utsumi.
I don't like the body jumping in the last few episodes because it's a bad way to squeeze in more toys especially with repaint Ryuga. I don't think Evolt will use the old forms again. I was expecting more out of shouichi and vernage too after all the build up and mystery teases. Also, it would be a nice plot that Ryuga is entirely a part of evolt instead of him being infected by him before he was born. The whole Ryuga/Evolt thing was kind of forced plot line for Magma, but it was nice except it resolves too quickly. The way Evolt obtain his power and the true purpose of the pandora box including his vague origin was a letdown despite I enjoy the characters and their acting in this show.

We don't know what the link is between Evolto and the box - just that neither were created on Mars. For that matter, we don't know why he has a fondness or the Italian language, either ('Ciao' is an Italian greeting, and 'Evolto' is Italian for Evolution).

Obviously he actually comes from Space Italy.

Now I want to see an episode of the Ninja Turtles where they visit Space Italy. Space Italy a place with aliens, sci-fi, and pizza, the place would basically be Michelangelo's wet dream.
