Used to be! when they came I agree, they looked the best at their time, when the Gaim line came, it ruined the Blade and Ryuki line for sure. I only have Blade King Form (pre-new body frame) and honestly, I believed it was the most amazing figure I have ever seen, the detailed cards, the armor engravings..everything spotless but then Gaim came and it made it look like it was something that should have never been released. I did though notice that his head was a bit too tiny compared to his body and definitely the smallest compound eyes I have ever seen. It is definitely the best looking figure compared to its predecessors but next to Gaim and the rest? nope!

Standing at 14.5cm while the others stand at 15cm is a bit underwhelming in my opinion and the body looks so damn thin. (Japanese use the metric system to build the figures)


Decade did sell well, otherwise, he wouldn't be so damn expensive right now, have you checked the prices on E-bay, Amazon and Japanese online stores? It's only a bit cheaper from Genm Zombie Gamer LvX right now!

I can kinda see it now. Kiwami was just not a very good comparison, especially when the side only tells half the story.

Either way, there is one point of agreement between everyone here -- they're great figures, at least on their own. So they're far less in need of an update than, say, Faiz or OOO.

There's clearly a size difference here, and the Seihou obviously has better proportions (which is basically the line's crowning achievement), but I don't think the slight scaling up is drastic enough to where a Ryuki renewal is absolutely urgent, though it's certainly welcome.


I think I myself am good with them not doing Ryuki for a while because as it stands, the Ryuki line has one of the most complete lineups of characters in Figuarts, which is impressive given the size of its cast. I don't think we get that with Shinkocchou Seihou, and that kills much of the motivation to get a new Ryuki for me, especially when the ones we already have are still great figures and come with tons of accessories. Smaller lines like Faiz, I could realistically see them eventually getting to the main 3 Riders, since Hibiki is getting that treatment. OOO has an even smaller cast than Faiz, and he desperately needs a 2.0 release so even if they never release a Birth to go with him, we never got a base form OOO figure that was remotely good. But Ryuki....meh, I'm of the opinion that if we don't see all of the Ryuki Riders eventually get renewals, don't bother.

As far Di"MIA since '15"End, I'm still not sure why they haven't released him. DiEnd is not much more than Decade with a new belt and upper torso. Decade is still a popular series despite fan backlash, and as Kami just showed, Decade's renewal is going for pretty nutso prices on the aftermarket.

Just release him as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, even if DiEnd doesn't turn out to be that big of a hit with collectors, it's not like you have to commit to the Decade line after that. I don't know anybody who would be that upset if they never did Complete Form, and Kivala was a movie Rider that got a good release the first go around and nobody really wants a redo of her anyway.

Diend will likely show up sometimes relatively soon after Kiva.

To be fair, Diend being MIA and no toy being made, might be connected. He stole all the plans for it. You know he would too. Discover the real world as an alternate world, and hold his own figure hostage at diendriver point until he's paid royalties for it.

First part of this are just reissues, sadly. With special stands, but still the old ass molds with a hefty pricetag. No OOO so far though, so maybe he is getting the SS treatment.

I wonder if there’s a market for Ryuki with half his accessories missing, because I highly doubt that thing is coming with Dragreddar.

I doubt Blade will come with his effect parts either, but I guess we’ll see soon enough.

On the other hand, they could finally have Build come with his sword and include the Handle Sword and Door Gun with Drive.

The rest, aside from Gaim, are beyond outdated and not worth getting at all IMO. They are all prime candidates for Shinkocchou Seihou releases, no one should pay those inflated prices for them.

They're deliberately reissuing that old Faiz mold? He's toward the top of the list of out-of-date Figuarts. Ryuki is a fine figure, but he's now a little out-of-scale (and very out-of-scale with Shinkocchou Seihou.)

Maybe this'll be good for new collectors, but I can't see myself picking up any of these unless they come with significant improvements, and most of these just don't need them.

Interesting that although it looks like early Zi-O will focus mostly on the second ten Heisei Riders, this reissue series will spend apparently equal time on the first ten. I doubt it means much: they just re-made Decade and W, they're about to re-make Wizard, the Fourze mold is showing its age, and many of us would probably like to pretend that Figuarts Ghost never happened.

Let's be honest: If these were jacked with accessories (all the originals for the older ones, weapons and tires for Drive etc.) these releases would be super cool.

But with Tamashii recently, accessories become rarer and rarer. Figures like Genm Lv. 0 are "loaded" with extra stuff, but compared to old figures; they almost always had stuff like this.

I expect nothing from these releases except a few hands and that dumb stage. Which won't even come with an arm to use it as a stand, just wait.

Not gonna lie, I'm really underwhelmed, especially because I can buy most of these molds on Mandarake for cheap. I just checked, and SHF Den-O Sword Form is selling them for only 2500 Yen!

Yeah, screw this, I'm just going to wait for a SH Figuarts Zi-O. Here's to hoping his Jikan Grade doesn't come with his bike.

Ryuki, Faiz, Blade, Den-O, Gaim, Ex-Aid, Drive, Build are "these guys don't need SS yet so rerelease them"

Kuuga, Agito, Hibiki, Kabuto, Decade, W, Wizard are "these guys have had SS updates", maybe the SS themselves will be rereleased

OOO, Fourze, Ghost are "these guys need SS updates which will be announced as part of Rider Kicks"

Now I don't necessarily agree with all of those assessments myself but that definitely seems to be the groupings!

Regardless of pricing, am I the only one that feels like the release dates are an indication of when they will feature on Zi-O? If I am right I guess we have an outline of which riders will feature for the first 16 episodes or so.

We already had that. There's an image out there (I think it's on page 54 of the Zi-O rumors thread) that shows a timeline of the different forms, and it's clear which ones are Zi-O and which are Geiz. They're not exactly sequential. With the exception of Geiz Faiz, the first few months focus on the second phase of Heisei Riders.

The figures in the row immediately behind Wizard covers all the Figuarts Rider Kicks releases announced today. The back row now makes more sense: on the outside, you have the Shinkocchou Seihou figures. The remaining figures at the VERY back are Fourze, Ghost, and they're rendered fainter than the others. Could be significant, or it could just be the ones they're least proud of. Given that their first announcement wasn't, y'know, a new figure, I'm a little disappointed, but I'm happy enough for anyone who wanted to pick up these figures but couldn't afford aftermarket prices.

Yeahhh... I'm kind of tempted by Den-O... but that's about it. Rest are I have or are too outdated. Hell, even Den-O kind of is and so I'll probably just wait for an SS release.

OOO, and Fourze for sure SS but ghost not a chance. The reason the line sold very badly and it was not popular so won't happen also to soon. I do see Kiva being the last reveal at Tamashii Nations in Oct hoping it will happen.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect anything from Ghost when it comes to these announcements. Personally I think the figure we got is fine even with its limitations. If he somehow gets a renewal, I'll be shocked.

So it was just reissues of old mold figures...FML There's still a chance for October I guess for Kiva and perhaps OOO as well as Fourze. Btw they could have fixed Build's driver colors like they did with Sparkling, Great Cross-Z, Hazard and Magma but nope...they will just release those.
I don't get why Faiz is there when everyone complained for the weird joints and yet here he is.

I don't understand why they did not sell, because of limitation in movements? The few figures they released look great in my honest opinion but I am not a fan of the Ghost series and that's why I did not go all out, could that also be a factor that it did not sell well? Most people I know bash the series.

Pretty hyped to be able to grab Faiz, may get Ryuki as well, though I do already have Ryuki Survive.

Series wasn't very popular. Low popularity = Low sales.

I enjoyed Ghost personally, but I'm sadly the minority.

I hope they show something cool tomorrow - if their „big announcement” is just these re-releases then I will be pissed. One because they are just re-releases, and two, we know about them already because they were featured in the Figure Oh magazine.

I don't know how much it was the series not being well-regarded and how much it was the (relatively for Figuarts) poor reviews for the figures. Just check out the reviews here on TokuNation, which I thought were fair. The Ghost Figuarts simply weren't up to the standard Bandai had set with Gaim and Drive. In addition to the lousy articulation and the fact that the figure only looks good with the arms in one of a few neutral positions, the arms also had a tendency to come apart. I'm assuming negative reviews had an impact on sales.

I honestly never got the complaints about the shoulders on the Ghost figuarts. They had better range than most of the SHF Drive line.

Quality of the show itself aside, I really don't understand why that Ghost line got such a bad rap. I didn't see any noticeable decline from the previous lines. In fact, my Drive has gotten a bit loose over time while my Ghost still remains sturdy.

I have to agree, the Ghost line got a lot of unwarranted hate. I guess the quality of the show soured people to literally anything Ghost since people treated the figuarts as though they were the second coming of the original Wizard figuarts and no figure in the Ghost line was anywhere near that bad. I own almost all the Ghost figuarts and found them to be incredibly rock solid.

^I don't get it either. Ghost is the only Figuart I've been able to pick up in a while and absolutely love it. Articulation is fine, the suit design remains one of my all time favorite, I love the way the weapon was handled, etc.

I'd say so yeah. Of the older Figuarts he's the one that still holds up best.

So the listing for Build confirms he's only coming with the couple of hands from the original release, nothing extra, despite costing about 2000 yen extra.

"Bad" is relative. I think it's inferior to the Figuarts versions of Gaim, Drive, Ex-Aid, and Build. I'd say the jacket is to blame if I didn't own Takeshi Hongo, which allows the arms to be posed without the unsightly gaps Ghost gets in most poses. I suppose that figure was designed later. Your figure may not have experienced the arms-fall-apart problem that mine has.

Anyway, it's not wrong to enjoy the figure. The weapon *was* handled well. The helmet looked good. I got a lot of enjoyment out of Figuarts Wizard, and only really became dissatisfied with it over time, by comparison.

On another note, the preview images of the re-releases on AmiAmi show *some* of the accessories that some of the figures. Looks like Faiz will come with a decent number of his accessories. Blade seems to come with the Rouzer options and cards, but not the effects parts. The Ex-Aid photos are mostly pulled from the original Ex-Aid release. Drive does not appear to come with either of his weapons. Some of the figures, like Den-O and Ryuki, only show a single image without accessories, I suspect because Bandai is still working on what to pack with those.

@Topic: These are pretty pathetic excuses for reissues. More expensive with less stuff included to match the barebones releases of late, great job Tamashii!

That being said, I had to go for Drive, I missed out on that guy and he's one of the last Riders I could see getting an update anytime soon.
