Can I say Geiz is the most bland and boring.

All these current riders looks same

I am trying SO HARD to like this show,ugly belts and all. The Point .5 side stories are the best part,and that is disappointing.

I want to like this show, but since I have no familiarity to most of the tributes I have no attachment to them.

At this point the meta-humor of the .5 episodes are more entertaining than the main series events, which says something.

The numbers of page this post got is bigger than the number of pages the weekly episode usually get: yeah this show has problems in several domains. Writing will be my number 1, when others dislike MC or what the armors look.

To answer OP I'm not the the point of 'disliking' it, the show is just okay-ish for now. After all it got some Woz.

Speak of that, is the show selling well the toys ?

More and more I think this is just the Cameo season. I'm not hating it, but I'm not on the edge of my seat each week waiting for the next episode.

It's a gimmick/novelty season I guess, all about the Cameos.

I love some of the 'Other Rider' designs. I'm actually enjoying them a lot more than anything else in the show. Another Build and Another Fourze looked really great.

The story needs to be good in order for the toys to sell better. I didn't think the bottle gimmick was that good and I think build sold well.

You mean "Are the ratings good" right? If so, don't know but Toei doesn't care, toy sales are more important to them, and considering Bandai failed to make enough Jiku Drivers when it first released, I'm sure it's doing very well

Yeah from what I have heard so far Ji-O is doing well, the tv show is still far to early to really be called good, but so far it has been quite enjoyable and I was one of the people negative about the show from the get go due to some of the people making it.

Like Annuga already said though the toy sales matter more, far more.

So far the sales have been good from what I have heard, the only thing that is really suffering is Sentai, which has been suffering for years at this point, the quality and the clear spew of toys that are also way to god damn expensive is likely the big issue here, but Bandai is gonna Bandai..... And Toei executives do not seem able to do anything but join them in the stupidity.

They dropped the quality severly over the last 6-7 years while also upping the price and the amount of toys per sentai to stupid levels, most families are not going to deal with that shit.

Most kids in the age group are not going to be effected as much by the overall story as someone in their teens or older will, what kids find appealing is not going to be what most of us find appealing.

And what kids find appealing can be impossible to really guess at times, characters or toys never intended to be anything more then a one time thing can suddenly spike in popularity around kids and it will often change running shows.

The very clear change in direction for Lupin vs Pat where toys already out and coming out where suddenly only for use by the lupin is one of these things, said show is regarded as a massive failure though sales wise at this time and it is pretty clear a lot of people some who even overall like the show are a bit irked by the direction the show went in regards to the Pat downgrade as a main team, they basically threw away the entire point of the season and made the two team thing have zero meaning just to salvage some sales with the weak toy sales and production costs.

Over the last couple of years the early episodes in rider have been very intent on getting through all the toys quickly, it does it far better then sentai has overall though, yes a good story really helps a show in the long run, but I would not say it has that much effect on the overall toy sales as a lot of people think, though the longer into the show the more the story will matter in regards to how many viewers it will manage to keep, the characters are likely a bigger draw for most of the demographic the show is aimed at in the long run.

I honestly don't mind Zi-O, I think its a fun show to come back to week-to-week. I'm more interested in the anniversary stuff, so I am always glad to see the returning actors. There have been terrible episodes but there have good episodes as well. I'm going to reserve judgement until we get past the first arc.

I guess that's why megaforce did well in toys, right? People older try hard to Finish the incomplete collection being release messily and kids enjoy cgi and vfx actions all the way. There's literally no plot development and you can jump in like a sitcom.

Well I can certainly say that I've reached a point were I can't even bring myself to watch Zi-O. I gave the show a chance, and I'm just not clicking with it. Perhaps I've been too spoiled with Build with how solid it's story & characters were. Shame the Heisei era of Kamen Rider has to end on a low note. Maybe if they ever do a Drive arc and bring Shinnosuke back, I might have an inkling to go back to, but as is, I'm afraid it's a miss.
