This whole special looks like a fever dream, and I love it. Big Green motorbike, fighting all the old past costumes, even the Sunglasslasher, of all weapons. It's kitbashed beyond belief, and it deserves to be the last Heisei Rider.

On Discord people were asking why the sunglasslasher and how it connects. My response was simple, the guy wears glasses. Lol!

Haha wow it's actually happening. I really like how they managed to get a sort of brain look on his helmet with the circuitry bits. I definitely like Brain's suit more than Rider Heart's.

And getting Figuarts of these out there specials is nuts. Although I would kinda like the Roidmude form instead..

Okay, starting to get more interested in this with the casting/production news.

Why's everyone griping about the Sunglasseslasher? It's not the worst looking weapon in Kamen Rider! If this is about how 'out of place' it is, consider the fact that Kamen Rider Brain is fighting Duke, Dark Ghost, Dark Kiva and other non-Drive related enemies in the trailer.

But he's simply fighting past Dark Riders. That isn't the same as a Drive system piece of gear giving him a weapon that has nothing to do with Drive.

Nobody here is complaing because the Sunglasseslasher is from Ghost though. It's because it's a sword with sunglasses on it.

Because it's a sword with sunglasses on it. Also, because it features a gimmick which Brain cannot use. At least I hope he can't, if he pulls out Eyecons then this whole thing would be even worse.

Well yeah, but on the other hand: A Rider can fight other villains all day long because crossovers aren’t a new thing for Kamen Rider, but I want the design of Brain to be consistent to his universe. Kitbashing is fine, but they should only use stuff from Drive.

I also don’t like Brain using a sword of all things, he seems more like a ranged fighter to me. Giving him a green Door-Ju would've been fine. Or better yet, two!

In fact, I think Kamen Rider Brain would be awesome as a gunslinger-kinda fighter.

Doesn't the Sunglasseslasher have a gun mode though? Although a green Door-Ju would be nice; just slap on a brain decal.

Wielding two Door-Ju's though looks a bit weird to me though due to it's asymmetrical nature.

Oh goodness I can see them selling P-Bandai exclusive Heart and Medic Eyecons already.

Hey, if they retooled Eyecons to look like tiny brains with images of Heart and Medic in there and that’s what he uses to power up the thing then all is forgiven.

Some information and behind the scenes stuff about Kamen Rider Brain (supposedly)

• Brain is transformed into a Rider by Dr. Christal, played by Chris Peppler. The character's full name is Christal Peppler.
• The line "We'll meet again in Kamen Rider Brain" in Drive Saga Heart was a complete adlib by Matsushima and the main reason his special is happening is cause he kept asking for it.
• Each Kamen Rider Brain episode will be 10 minutes each.
• Dr. Christal was originally going to just be a monster character with a mask and Chris Peppler's voice, because they wanted the new Driver to have the same voice as the Drive Driver (cause the special is a parody). They changed it cause he wanted to appear in person.
• Brain will be part of the Drive Saga series according to Omori, because that's what Drive spinoffs are called, but as for it's place in Drive's story, "please understand (笑)".
• Sanjo says Brain is more a parody of all things Kamen Rider as opposed to just being a Drive thing, specifically the first episode of a new Kamen Rider. "You are Kamen Rider" is said just after the story begins. He thought it'd be fun as well to have evil legend riders appear as a parody of Rider villain factions. He wants viewers to think "Huh? Isn't this a Drive story?"

All that makes it sound like it's going to be an extended .5 episode of Zi-O. It can't come quick enough for me.

If it's mostly a parody, that explains the Sunglasslasher, one of the most ridiculous-in-a-bad-way weapons from Rider history.

So the whole reason this thing is being made is because of an adlib? BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

I've translated the contents and it comes with FOUR replacement hands for each wrist. That is actually pretty good by today's Figuarts standards.

Also, apparantly the sword is considered 'Brain's identity', so I guess his soul is stuck in a sword instead of a belt? That must suuuuuk...

So, if Prof Crystal is also the little face on Brain’s belt, I guess we’re up to three sentient belts in Drive.

I guess Kiva still wins overall in that regard.

The figure looks cool. The shot with the arms crossed behind its back looks awesome, I’ve never even attempted anything close to this with any Figuart but it works so well for this one.

Anyways, I'm tempted to order it on the spot but I'll wait and watch the special first. Just in case I don’t enjoy it too much.

But it's crazy that we first get a Figuart based on a stage play, then one from a Tokusatsu fanclub series, plus, there's already a prototype of a Hyper Battle-exclusive form too. What's next? A Figuart based on a novel exclusive form? Figuarts of the CSM exclusive OOO forms?

Which HBV Figuart are we getting?? I'm either completely blanking or never heard about this

Also, technically we did get a novel-exclusive from as a figuart -- years ago we got Kamen Rider Cyclone! I'd love to see a renewal of it some day...

If they're smart, they should release HBV Figuarts. Pretty sure a lot of people would flock to them.

Damn Kamen Rider Brain looks so much better than Heart. Best part is that the suit looks good enough it could pass as an original Rider itself!
