A bit of warning before you do that. I’m not sure if this is just an issue with my copy, but the gorilla bits that become part of the boots for the Ultrazord REFUSE to peg into the Cheetah’s legs. Best I can manage it to get them held in by friction, and that only supports the weight of the Ultrazord for so long.

That... sounds not-great. Is there any way to tighten it?

That's interesting for sure. I mean then again can't say I'm to surprised its Hasbro's first PR toyline after all so It'd be too much to expect a perfect combination out the gate. Might just be a minor consistancy issue where some gorrila's work just fine others don't I mean then again GB had issues with the gorrilla if i'm not mistaken so maybe the series was cursed jk.

I do know the last hasbro product I got was a transformers can't remember which transformer was a few years back but I recall that part of it was supposed to snap into place on the back didn't quite line up for mine, if i recall correctly it was some bumblebee and the head raised up when you folded the hood back or something like that so sadly mine couldn't quite go proper robot mode. But the other figures i had had around that time were pretty solid so it was probably just a bad figure.

it might be possible that if they plan on making the series air a month later than usual that the catalog might be the same.

Hasbro does have some clunkers from time to time. I don't have racer yet to say if it's just some figures or all. But I do have Bandai Japan's version and I can say that this design does not yield itself to an easy toy adaptation. Not for a reasonable asking price at least. I'm surprised Toei approved this design for the show. I would have thought Bandai would say it would be too problematic as a toy line. Yet here we are with Hasbro also trying to take a crack at it.

At least Hasbro's version looks better, proportions-wise. I could not stand the squat, H-stance of the GB version.

Plus, those stupid tires hanging down from the crotch can be removed on Hasbro's version, though I don't know if you can re-attach them upside down or somewhere else less intrusive.

I really like ToQ-Oh...that one was the closest to the old 80's mecha we've had in the past decade and a half.

I'm wistfully hoping that the "Carrier" zord for the new series is throwback to old carriers like Dynaman's legs.

I love that thing and how you can dynamically transform it just like in the show, with the trains linking and, still rolling, rising up to stand. Massively underrated mecha - and that’s before considering the the fact that you can form trains of unlimited length.

I just didn't like ToQoh because it was so ugly. It was skinny, simple, and basic with almost no interesting details. Even the trains were boring designs. (and this coming from the guy who loves the Supertrain Megazord)
