Calling bullshit on this. Unless we hear anything from Hasbro themselves terminating their partnership with Toei, this is just a rumor. And a poorly-made one at that.

Everything I've seen them report on Power Rangers came True, don't know why this would be any different

Mighty Morphin' is the bread-and-butter of this franchise! It keeps the lights on, for better or worse! If the "time-travel-to-the-'90s" theory of the Hasbro Movie is accurate, then perhaps Hasbro wants to effectively "rewrite history", but that would ultimately necessitate a number of highly controversial gambles! If the Movie theory is true and accurately indicates that the current owners are moving away from Sentai to the point of being barred from using Sentai, the fandom backlash would be immense and inevitably become uncontrollable and unavoidable, which doesn't sound like something Hasbro would willingly welcome. Could a totally original and live-action series be produced with absolutely no Sentai footage? Yes! Everything about Hasbro suggests that such a possibility cannot be easily dismissed. Would Hasbro totally reject all Sentai in favor of moving the franchise away from Sentai and into 100% new elements? Again, it is possible. Would Hasbro reject Sentai and anger Toei to such an extent that everything from Mighty Morphin'-Dino Fury would become untouchable due to the licensed Sentai designs and likenesses, which are the very heart of the franchise? Unlikely, as it would mean re-building a long-standing franchise from scratch and virtually ignoring the nearly 30 years of history it has built-up and ultimately lead to an online fan-based movement to have the ownership of the franchise taken from Hasbro and placed in the hands of someone who is willing to make a deal with Toei! The likelihood of the report being 100% factual is where the questions and interpretations lie. It is possible that there is a grain of truth to be found, but the nitty-gritty details remain uncertain and the lack thereof could easily influence how the supposed "evidence" is viewed by readers. Until Hasbro releases a statement regarding their future plans with the franchise from Dino Fury onward, then the rest is fluid and unsolved. I sincerely hope that something is said regarding this in the next week or so, since Comic-Con 2020 is approaching. |

Man the more I hear about the new movie, even though it's the same thing, the more I hate it.
IDK I feel like a Star Wars fan when it comes to Power Rangers. I need a break. |

More then likely Hasbro will focus on Toys of Dino Fury and Past Shows while working on the new movie. And take a break from anything live action TV wise for awhile. Given how Hasbro handles Transformers this news seems more then likely to me. |

Imo, this not the end of PR but the begin of original seasons.

Hasbro is never going to announce this news Officially. A 40 yo Transformers Fan here. They will do Dino Fury, focus on the movie, and say nothing about any deals with Toei. It's just the way they operate. We never get an announcement when a Transformers series is ending. We always find out by the people who worked on the show moving to new things, or getting flat out fired.
