Sorry I disappeared for so long, a new Ace Attorney game came out in English and I may have lost all semblance of calmness for about a month. I'm back with some updates now though!
Lots of changes for Ultraman, adding some new Shout Factory streams and Mill Creek box sets. I also added in the rather controversial Gridman Blu-ray Mill Creek put out recently. Some Godzilla films and other misc. toku that are no longer streaming were removed. I added in some Gamera films that are up for streaming, as was recommended above, plus the dub of the first Gamera film that Shout streams. As usual, feel free to report any missing toku that you think should be added! |
Can you add 1975 - Jet Man?
Thanks to Shout Factory and Malaysian sets after Hurri I can catch up to Zen Kai Ranger which I'll see in 2022. I'm finishing Bouken due to Brazil DVDs. It would be great to see the Pre Zyu shows. |

Hey everybody, I am back with a fresh batch of updates! I added several recent Mill Creek Ultraman releases and a lot of new content from Shout Factory, including Kamen Rider Ryuki and a glut of daikaiju movies.
As for unofficial releases, we can add stuff like that if someone wants to join the list as an editor and work on the unofficial subs section, but I just don't really feel like gathering that much information myself, so I just focus on the official ones. |
I added the Kamen Rider vs The Ambassador from Hell special for the original Kamen Rider that was uploaded on Toei Tokusatsu World. At the same time, I realized that the movie for W they uploaded a few months ago was never taken back down after a while like most of the other KR films. Onto the list that went too!

I added a few more Shout releases to the list for the new year!
|
Holy crap! I didn't know Gridman is now available to watch on Shout Factory TV. When the heck did that happen?

https://i.imgur.com/YmMBZZw.png マジで酷すぎますよね。だって、こんな英訳じゃ、話の流れが大体わかることができても、味がないし細かいことはそれでも気づかないし。それってつまり、字幕なし見るのとあんま変わんなくね?What's even the use in a translation at all at that point? I should really go watch some Zero-One to wash this taste out of my mouth... |

You see most of the Gridman epiaodes have very slight scrubs to them which actually makes me madder since that means that in 5 years since TokuHD relase somebody at somepoint notices the small errors and corrected them but not the overall product being flawed. However apparantly Episodes 1, 2, 3, and 21 got decent scrubs so you may want to check those episodes out. And at least with The☆Ultraman which is in the exact same situation as Gridman at least that one now no longer have left centered subs like dvds gotta take the small victories. https://www.imgonline.com.ua/result_...0x6JpSZnhl.jpg |
I added the Kamen Rider vs. Shocker special from Toei Tokusatsu World.
On a different topic, I think it might be nice to flag any shows that are known for bad official translations. I think every single show TOKU did is bad, and by extension some physical releases derived from their subs, like Gridman, but I don't know for sure. Anyone want to weigh in? |

Need to see the following -
Galaxy Man - Aba Kyo - Lupin Pat Ranger Kira and Zen All Ultra shows All Rider shows Space Sheriff shows Metal Heroes Series that VR Troopers was adapted from and Beetle Borgs Sailor Moon Live series Galaxy Man - Hurri are on Shout Factory DVD luckily which I own. |

Beetleborgs was based on two separate series, technically. |
I decided to add in a "related media" section at the end, for things like manga and anime that are related to tokusatsu series. I stuck a few Garo anime, the Rider and Sentai English manga releases, and the English Rider video games in there. I'm sure there is far, far more than this, but I may as well start!
|
I picked up Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon which had all 5 series. This was due to Sailor Stars not being released in the US previously. The Viz prints aren't full screen. My set is in good shape surprisingly. If you can find a full screen on Sailor Moon that would help us out. It's becoming a fave anime of mine.

In a surprising turn of events, the official Dogengers Youtube channel, I assume anyway, just uploaded all 11 Episodes of Dogengers Highschool (The 3rd Series) with English Subs

Oh, neat! Added it. |

The subs do sync up with non-youtube raws that exist if quality is your thing. |
Did some updates to the list, the typical additions of new Shout and Mill Creek releases, plus various shows that are on new streaming services and a few removals of things that are no longer available. It looks like Tubi has all of the Japanese language Gamera movies now? I might need to put some time aside to watch those...

Thank you for your work on this as always!

Is there somebody that has a site for
Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Sailor Stars? Other than Hulu? I'd like to see the final 34 episodes. Thanks. If things go smoothly I'll be on Super S in late October. In September I start Sailor Moon S. On Hulu I keep getting "Download Failed" |

I do on my I Pad. If you upgrade your service they are Stream only is bottom tear and the download option is 2nd. Live TV is top end but it runs 80 bucks a month or something. You get Download if you pay for no Ads.

Either that, or streamers have options that they don't advertise, but I'm leaning against that given the context provided here. |
Prime Video added Ultraseven X to their U.S. catalogue.
And it's "included with Prime", an add-on subscription is not needed to watch the show. IMO, very random and unexpected! https://www.amazon.com/Ultraseven-X/dp/B09P4BF3QP |
I kept forgetting to add the Prime Video options, but I finally remembered today. Turns out there is a toku on there in general. I'm sure most of it is available elsewhere, but options never hurt, so I added everything I could find to the list. I'm sure there is way, WAY more on Prime Video, but I'll worry about that later honestly.
|
I saw that the streaming service Toku is no longer active! None of the links work anymore
And some of the titles on Amazon aren't exactly available for stream, but for buy/rent. Making it available for purchase is a different thing than putting it "included with Prime" like Ultraseven X is. |
Aba is now out on US DVD November 08. Shout Factory. Now if they could bring Deka - Zen over that would be sweet. It would be good to own the 4 skipped by Saban and Hasbro.
|
Oh no, TOKU's website disappeared, where will we get our Honshins and our Olnofelks from now?
Anyways, I removed all their links, so a few series seem to no longer be available officially. I also added in some stuff like Abaranger, Fuuto PI, and more Ultraman stuff. As for "things that are available for free with Amazon Prime vs things that you have to buy to stream on Amazon, I'm going to say keeping track of that sort of thing is outside the scope of this document because I don't feel like keeping track of it personally. Friendly reminder that I do accept editor requests from longstanding, upstanding members of this forum, so if anyone else wants to keep track of that sort of thing or add other missing info personally feel free to PM me about it. |
