Waiting for the full suit reveal, but I hope it ends up looking armored and regal. I will give it credit for being different so far, though I need to see it from another angle.
I feel my main issue is the belt doesn’t have a strong focal point like many others have. Those blank slots for the other books are just too jarring, but I’ll wait for the full reveal |
So, it looks like the books get slotted in the Driver, then withdrawing the sword opens them up. Is that right? If so, I really like that as a Henshin gimmick. Seems like it'd be a lot of fun for a kid to play around with.

Kinda funny now have three Riders whose names are similar to each other; Bravo, Brave, and Blaze. At least when you take into consideration that they'd sound more similar in Japanese. And that Blaze is not the fire rider, but the water rider, talk about subverting expectations. : P
I wonder if Blaze and the third Rider will be able to use alternate forms, since Saber can. Like do the Wonder RideBooks have different "pages" depending on where they're slotted into. |
Is this the September or August edition of TV-Kun? I'm trying to order this issue.
|
Kabuto: My horn is this longest one of all time!
Saber: Hold my beer. |

So, there are more scans now.

More looks at Saber, including (small) full view turn arounds of Saber and 'Blaze' and a look at the books, all courtesy of @Ben77878871 and @PaderaAsterisk on Twitter. Now, could someone please share with us what's written on their soles, our copy of the cipher is on a different computer.

Everything looks cool except for the half coat thing hanging from Saber’s waist. Blaze pulls that concept off much better with it hanging from the front. All the armor will take some getting used to after how sleek Zero-One is, but they seem to be knights (Blaze might be a ninja?) so it’s to be expected.
I do appreciate how out there the visors are. I know Kamen Rider bug eyes are a staple, but I’m glad they allow themselves to break tradition every now and again. Heisei did it a lot towards the end so I’m happy to see that continue in Reiwa. |
Makes sense that Saber's waist coat for his base form is only on the right side, since he inserts his Wonder RideBook into the right slot of the Swordriver, while Blaze's waist coat for his base form is only on the center with him inserting his into the middle slot.
I knew that the hilt would be interchangeable depending on the Rider, tho. I like that, helps further differentiate between the Riders. Looking at their designs overall, Saber and Blaze actually have some rather simple base designs when you get down to it. |
Saber's catchphrase is "I will decide the conclusion to the story!" according to the scans. And they say Blaze is Saber's senpai so that will be interesting. I kinda hope he is goofy like Date or Nito, have not had one of those in a while.
|
Ooooh, I just realized that Saber's right shoulder pad and the right side of his torso armor forms the entirety of the dragon head, while his right arm is the "fire" its breathing out. That's really interesting, much better than just having a straightforward dragon head for the shoulder armor like Cross-Z Magma (not that that's a dig against the form, I love it, it's just the immediate example I could think of).
|
More and more images are surfacing. It's good to see all the white used on the suit. I think that's pretty distinct for a main rider.
I hope Saber is the quintessential swordsman and fights as a swordsman the way Wizard primarily uses kicks. |
Blaze guy's visor look very different than any typical Kamen Rider's visor since his visor is HUGE!
When the last time a Kamen Rider have a huge visor like Blaze?! Anyone?! As for Saber, I will say it's better than that fan art design I saw on the other day. |

yeah not a fan of Saber's design looks WAY too toy like/incomplete for my liking (This means the show will be godtier tbf cause Gaim/Ex-Aid aka the 2 ones from the 2010's whose designs I wasn't too keen are are my 2 favorites not just from that period but Rider series in general) Blaze looks great on the other hand, and the combined form looks fine too

Many of the recent scans (including some not seen here) are posted on Twitter by User WeiWenn, who has some descriptions to go with the images.

I guess we won’t be getting Zero-One Summer Movie after all. :( |
Blaze looks cool, but Saber still does nothing for me. However, I'm eager to see how insane his final form will be since his base form is already pretty elaborate.

The part where they get a bit more creative is the gem on the forehead which seems to be the white blade slashes and I live that! It's so creative. |
Info I picked up from the scans and other places here and there
- Using the Brave Dragon WonderRide Book Saber can transform into Kamen Rider Saber Brave Dragon - Saber's sword is the Kaenken Rekka(Flame Sword Wildfire), a sword of fire -Saber's rider kick is the Dragon Issatsugeki Fire(issatsugeki is a combination of the words "one", "book", and "attack") - Using the Lion Senki WonderRide Book Blaze can transform into Kamen Rider Saber Lion Senki - He is senior to Saber - Blaze's sword is a sword of water called Suiseiken Nagashi(Water Potential Sword Flowing Water), and can perform a finishing move with it called Hydro Stream - Blaze's rider kick is a dropkick called Leo Cascade - The enemy are otherworldly monsters that have entered the human world to destroy it - The markings seen on the soles and belt are called Ridermoji(moji means letter as in a, b, c) - The swordriver's three slots are for three different types of WonderRide Books, To the belt-wearer's right are for WonderRide Books on Mythical beasts, the center for those about actual animals, and the left is for WonderRide Books on stories |
Oh wow got it wrong again lol
This is more like ooo split but they do it horizontally rather than vertically Also the belt have 3 "books" slots... Divine creatures? Sacred animals? Whats the difference? Lol - it would make more sense if they used legendary characters like robin hood or arthur for the "middle book" Maybe its kinda early to judge - but it looks like the reiwa riders are going for an overlapping multi kinda fusion like zero one (base + base animal grasshopper + any other animal) compare to the heisei ones like ooo or double, something like that Wierdest rider so far for me |
Divine Creatures and Sacred Animals can have differences like separating what is say...the World Turtle or Phoenix, divine creatures, from sacred animals, like dragons or unicorns. Doesn't seem like there's much of a difference but it does make sense if you divide mythical creatures into categories like that.
I love that the boot design has scriptures on the sole. It's a nice touch. |
Okay I'm really digging these two a lot, seeing the full Saber suit really makes me like it a lot.
Also Blaze just well has a Lion Chest, and as we've seen countless times in the Brave Series, Lion Chests are cool. |

I'm trying to figure out how the gimmicks might work toy-wise though. My current guess is that RideBooks with have sounds in them, and *possibly* LEDs behind the "pages". Meanwhile the sword will have its own sounds and lights, that play regardless of what's in the belt. The belt itself I don't think has any electronics, just possibly some switches and stuff to trigger the books & any upgrade attachments at the right times. Presumably the different Riders' swords have their own sets of sounds to distinguish them, but I don't think the swords will ever "know" what books are inserted, or vice versa. Closest comparison I can think of is the Books are like lockseeds, and the Swords are like faceplates (if it was the faceplates themselves making the sounds!). Saber's and Brave's swords are pretty similar; I'm really curious to see if we get any different looking ones later down the line. I'm super unsure about precisely how the sounds will work though; with three slots, they've surely got to leave enough space for each book to have its turn saying something, which would just lead to a lot of awkward silence (or standby music) when a rider's just using one book! Hopefully between a press conference preview of the transformation (if we're lucky) and the early release of Peter, we'll soon get a better idea! |
its rare to see a lion in blue color and associated it with water. Usually its warm colours like red, orange or yellow that symbolised high energy, passion, fiery temperamental nature, etc
They could have use cetus or hydra for the base creature I really dont think they do enough exploring for mythical creatures....sigh Oh well, it is what it is...^_^ |

You can also see that each slot determines part of the rider based on how much is displayed
So, with the Brave Dragon WonderRide Book in the rightmost slot, and nothing else, the main body of Saber and the right arm are set. With Peter Fantasista or Jack and the Beanstalk open in the leftmost slot, they show the arm, covering the middle slot. So, with the Hidden Story of Hiden on the Left, A.I.M.S. Animal File in the Middle, and Metsuboujinrai Monsters on the Right, the full set of books, when opened will display, from Left to Right, Zero One's left arm, Vulcan's Body, and Horobi's right arm. |
I'm mildly disappointed we're back to clunky belts and bulky suits with big stuff hanging off so soon. I was hoping we'd learn a few more lessons from Zero One, though saber's design isn't bad that's just more preference on my part.
What I am genuinely bored of now is half-and-half rider designs, though it's mildly more interesting than how Build or Double did it, it also feels less effective and the asymmetry is rarely effective IMO. I also feel like the fable/book gimmick is lame. Jack and the Bean Stalk? Really? The historical figures thing in Ghost was awful, so I really don't like seeing the fictional version again. |
Personally, I think it's badass looking, it's just the colors are a bit glaring.
|
If you put the sword in the driver and pull the trigger to "turn" the pages, it will have a really cool effect if the books open in a cascading effect.
|
Yeah - still not very excited for this. The suit is okay-ish, but the gimmick is really not for me. Feels like Eyecons and Gashats thrown in a blender and I'm not particularly happy about that.
Oh well, it all depends on me liking the show, ultimately suits and gimmicks can grow on me if I enjoy the story and characters. |
I'm a little relieved sometimes when I see a new suit and/or gimmick I'm not that into; I know I won't be chasing the toys.
When the progrise keys were first shown, I could feel my wallet crying in anticipation. |
Kamen rider "blaze" has a water motive?wtf where they thinking? The suits look great, the belt? Not so much. Also loos like blaze will use only one wonderbook,as opposed to sabers two, somewhat similar to sento and ryuga I guess
|
Ok, I adore these suits! They look so damn vibrant, creative, and fun! Honestly, I think it's perfect for a successor to Zero-One. While I liked its suits, minus a few glaring exceptions, I personally think they mined that approach pretty thoroughly and it's good to see something more out there again.
And I really like the Driver as well. It's a very interesting design and I love that the sword can go in there. Let's hope the show is as fun as the designs promise. |
