Since my only other CSM is the Arcle and I preordered the normal set with everything, does the belt use AAAs or AAs?

For comparison, on the DX, taking the faceplate off defaulted to Gaim’s standby. Here, it stays with the settings for the last faceplate that was inserted.

I've gotten 3 CSM belts so far, and everything has been AAA except the projector from the CSM Garren set, and that item had no equivalent in DX, so I'd wager the Sengoku Driver is also AAA powered.

I've preordered the main belt set and Baron Lockseeds. Looking at some videos, it's clearly getting harder to improve on the DX versions as they get to more recent series. There's some improvement to the DX, but if I had the DX it'd be harder to justify getting the CSM version. Still, since I don't have a Sengoku Driver yet, this looks like a pretty definitive one to have.

There's actually a ton more stuff that hasn't been detailed in most reviews! By pressing a combination of buttons on the Driver, you can customize pretty much everything about the henshin. You can:

- Shorten the start of the henshin.
- Turn the henshin into an Arms change.
- Turn on the "Lock Off" sound after removing a Lockseed.
- Turn off the "Lock On" sound and standby music after inserting a Lockseed.

That last one solves my one major, major gripe with the Sengoku Driver. Combined with the fact that the Lockseeds remember that you're henshined if you don't close the lid (HOLY CRAP!), you can actually replace a Lockseed onto the Driver (after inserting into a weapon, etc...) WITHOUT HAVING TO HENSHIN AGAIN!!!

I absolutely cannot believe how crazy the attention to detail is on this thing. You can even CUSTOMIZE THE CUTTING SOUND!

Kureshima set, so it'd likely include Ryugen as well. So, faceplates for both of them, Kachidoki Melon, Budou, Kiwi(?), and Yomi.

At last the Shin Kachidoki Lockseed is coming out! I always wonder if you could put the Kiwami Lockseed in it and now I can finally get the answer I been waiting for!

The little Helheim game they did confirmed all those for the Kureshima set - including Kiwi and plus Watermelon as well (the Gaim Gaiden Volume 1 version, so by proxy, I’d expect the red-crested Zangetsu faceplate).
What I’m curious about, seeing as Baron came with Matsubokkuri Energy and Maron Energy, is if Melon Energy is included as well. I’d assume not, though.

So is that 6 Lockseeds all in all, then? Budou, Kiwi, Yomi, Melon, Watermelon and Kachidoki Melon?


Melon Energy is the 'main' Lockseed of the Genesis Driver so I'd assume it would come with that.

6 lockseeds and faceplates for Zangetsu, Ryugen, Ryugen Yomi and Zangetsu Watermelon. That's what I'm thinking

In case you guys haven't heard, there is a rather widespread issue with the orange paint used on the three Lockseeds that come in the CSM Sengoku Driver set. Some of them come cracked right out of the box while others develop over a period of time. It's rather bad as you can see...

Not sure what's causing this, but I really do hope they fix the second release. Wonder if Bandai will acknowledge this.

Oooh yikes. That's a real shame too as the Lockseeds were improved a fair bit and looked really nice...

And now I wonder if I should look into some kind of sealant to lightly apply to prevent this or at least keep it from getting worse when I get mine.

Most of the main ones, but there's definitely a few that come to mind -- Suika, Dragon Fruits, Fresh Orange/Pine, Fifteen, all the Legend Rider stuff used in-series, Gaim Yami, Maja, Himawari, the vehicles. Possibly Forbidden Ringo and Dark Ringo too depending on what comes with the Helheim set.

I think most of those will be covered in the above sets - none of the previous sets showed everything they came with on those banners, iirc.

Gaim will probably come with Suika, Pine, and Ichigo, as well as possibly Blood Orange, Black Orange, Black Lemon Energy, and Rider Indicators for Bujin Gaim and Proto Gaim. If they’re being really nice, maybe they’ll include Orange, Kachidoki and Kiwami to address the flaking problem (like how they released a second set of the Super Core Medals after widespread complaints for CSM OOO).

Yggdrasil will clearly have Matsubokkuri, Lemon, and Zakuro, and since it has Zakuro, I could see it having Blood Orange as well, since Saver used both. I’ll admit, I’m not sure what else it would have, since I assume the base four Energy Lockseeds will come with the Genesis Driver, which they have confirmed they’re doing. I guess Dragonfruit Energy might? Actually, I do think that makes sense. I assume it will then also come with Duke and Kurokage’s Rider Indicators (maybe the Kurokage Troopers too, if they feel like being nice to those who didn’t buy the mass production version). Maybe throw in the remaining Proto-Rider Indicators for the stage show Riders if they feel it’s still a bit light.

Helheim will clearly have Helheim, Gold and Silver, and I think it’s easy from that to assume it’ll have Dark as well. Maja was like an outright-evil Sagara, so we’ll probably get his, too, as well as the Rider Indicators for Mars, Kamuro, Sylphy and Maja. Since it could control cracks, I think this is where Ringo will go as well as Idunn’s Rider Indicator, but I could see that being with Yggdrasil instead.

That then leaves Himawari and Fifteen of the things they’ve confirmed they’re doing. Fifteen doesn’t really fit anywhere, so maybe it’ll come with the Legend Rider Lockseeds, if they do them. Himawari could go with Gaim, since Mai used it a lot, or Yggdrasil since it seemed to be the designated ‘food Lockseed’ for Project Ark, since it had no form attached to it.

They’ve outright said they might not do Fresh Orange and Fresh Pine because they aren’t really canon, and, to my knowledge, they’ve never mentioned Kabi Orange, the Vehicles or Legend Rider Lockseeds at all. Legends would make sense for Fifteen, but the Vehicles were much more toyetic, so I doubt we’ll get them.

Honestly, while I hope this would be the case, I find it unlikely as they came out with a statement today acknowledging the issue and offering replacements via the Bandai support center. Not sure if they actually managed to solve the issue or if this is even open to overseas customers...

Mine is coming soon. Crossing my fingers and hoping mine won't be affected too badly...

I was thinking more something like this:
- Gaim set: Pine, Ichigo, Suika, Black Orange, Black Lemon + Proto Gaim faceplate
- Yggdrasil set: Lemon, Matsubokkuri, Blood Orange, Blood Zakuro + Duke, Kurokage, Kurokage trooper & Bujin Gaim faceplate.
- Helheim set: Golden, Silver, Darkness, Forbidden, Helheim + Mars, Kamuro, Jam, Idunn & Silphy faceplates

The Energy Lockseeds I think are all gonna come with the Genesis Driver (although Matsubokkuri Energy being in the Baron set threw me for a loop).

That would leave unreleased 3 Lockseeds: Himawari, Fifteen & Maja. Those would be weird as a set, so, maybe Himawari could be included in the Gaim set, as the last Lockseed from the Beat Riders arc. Meanwhile, Fifteen and Maja could be included in the Yggdrasil set, it would up the count to 6, which isn't that far out.

The only Proto faceplate without a release yet is Gaim, so it stands to reason that one goes in the Gaim set (I don't think there really is anywhere else to put it).

Meanwhile, when they announced the Sengoku Driver Project Ark version, they stated that the Kurokage Trooper faceplate was gonna be released in a future product, so it's pretty much expected to be released algonside the regular Kurokage faceplate.

Like, I did say that I could see Blood Orange with Yggrdasil...

The only real difference is the omission of Maja from the Helheim set which, since he is a snake like Sagara, I maintain is the most likely place for him to be. I guess Dragonfruit could go either way...but I think it makes a little more sense here, since Tyrant also used it, and the Genesis Driver coming with the base four Energy Lockseeds makes sense from a marketing standpoint.

He was referred to in the Gaim Novel, but other than that, no. We know we are getting him, though, as he was in the Helheim game last October.

Lately they've been giving Stage Show stuff more attention epsepcially in the Buttabasoul Game.

They just updated decade another rider card or fan made? We finally got grand zio non stage play collection hoshbono. Csm becoming a voice add on collectible . Some complain size is still too small despite’s upgrades quality plastic and sound lines like Kva ixa line.

Pretty, ain't it? (^o^) Seriously though, once the cracking starts, all hope is lost. They were perfect when I first took them out of the box...

From what I understand, while Bandai is offering a free replacement service for cracked Lockseeds (for those living in Japan), they're facing a severe lack of stock. Hopefully this means that they'll be doing something about the paint in the meantime.

Here's the thing, I don't mind holding off on getting it If they ever fix the paint in an updated release. But the thing is, I fear if I cancel my pre-order, I won't get another chance.
I don't know what to do.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Pre-ordered the US release, so maybe Bluefin will work something out for affected customers in the US but I'm doubtful.

Well, this is the closest thread I can find to post some pretty wild news from the latest CSM blog: it sure looks like we're getting a DX Typhoon!
Funasen is staying very tight-lipped about it all but this would be incredibly exciting imo.
There's also a shot of a prototype Arcle, which some have taken to imply a reissue of either the DX or the CSM...
