Unfortunately yeah. They still sell the basic PR toys, but LC stuff has been a no-go for a while, sadly. I typically rely on GameStop and very rarely Wal-Mart for those.

Nice haul, even though the koma sword and ride watch holder can be had for cheap, the other pieces are great, especially the Christmas ride watch and the sg wonderide books. With the ridewatches, keychains, and wonderide book, i think you've pretty much got a good bit more than you paid for.

The SG books on their own just open up to show the Rider forms, but they are compatible with the DX driver by the looks of it

No the SG books don't have any electronics. They have a QR code in the back so I'm guessing the sound would come from the driver. They also only open up to display the Rider form, but not the illustration like in the show

The keychains actually do open up and have a small light up feature. Flying Falcon is the final key in this wave of 4, and I believe they made at least two other waves

The watch includes three other christmas relates phrases in addition to three regular Zi-O watch phrases (Pre henshin activation, henshin, "TIME BREAK"). Don't need the belt to sound them off. It didn't come with batteries so I swapped them from the Necrom watch

Yeah Buster is one of my favorites in terms of suit design and concept. His actual character in the show is just ok.

I like that he's the "dad rider" and that his suit actor is Jiro Okamoto, though I was hoping he would do dad jokes...

Sooooooo it's Christmas Eve.

When you reach a certain age, you stop getting "fun" things for Christmas. You're an adult with a job, so you end up buying the stuff you want through the year. And the stuff you pass on is either so expensive or so specific, that you can't really put it on a wish list. (Making sure someone buys the correct Seihou from a vendor without overpaying, while dealing with import hassles, is way more than I could ever ask a friend or family member.) It's this weird realm of wanting things, but not being able to explain the things you want in a way that isn't a burden.

But, it's still Christmas, and it's nice (at any age) to have a toy to open on Christmas morning. So, a few years ago, I started a policy with myself: any toys that I purchased or that came in on a preorder between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'd just set those aside. I could still buy stuff, but nothing would get opened until Christmas morning. That way, no matter what gifts I got, I'd have something to enjoy on Christmas.

It's a policy that's made the last few years pretty reliably fun. It creates a nice sense of anticipation through December, as I start piling up toys in a corner.

The downside, though, is that some years really get away from me, spending-wise:

I don't have it in me to detail all of the Transformers and Kamen Rider stuff in that mountain of plastic and cardboard, but it should be easy enough to discern. And, yeah, this is all stuff that came in during the last four weeks. (It's not even counting a NewAge Soundwave that's stuck in the mail somewhere, or the Kingdom Warpath, FRS Amazing Mighty kit, and MMC Tortor that are in my Pile of Loot at BBTS.) Upshot, going to have an awesome Christmas! Other hand, eeesh that photo.

That is the Rider Fans knockoff of the discontinued SHF Upgrade knockoff of the Decadriver, so that this cheapskate (he said, gesturing at a month of reckless spending) can get the NeoDecadriver version of Seihou Decade and still have the TV series version of the suit... when I eventually buy a Seihou Decade reissue.

(It also comes with a head. Violent Emotion? I'm sure that'll mean something to me in late-2021.)

For now, all I'll say is that it's the one accessory the original release of Seihou Decade had that Neo-Decadriver Decade didn't, so it makes a lot of sense to include it here. Really nice release!

I'm pretty excited to crack into it tomorrow, based on everyone's glowing reviews of it. (Which means if I don't love it, you all ruined Christmas. No pressure!) I think it's one I grabbed off of AmiAmi's preowned section. That's been my go-to lately for Seihous.

Suppose I could start off the christmas presents? Because I got a pretty surprising one -- some risers! I was looking into them and couldn't figure out where to get them, but family surprisingly came through and just gifted me a set this morning! Just a single set was more than enough for my main display, so I'm very glad to have them looking this nice (and to give Ohma Zi-O's box a break!)

Very jealous of many things in that haul. The saving things to open idea sounds really fun, I think I'll try and remember that for next year

It also comes in handy when multiple people tell you that the gifts they bought you for Christmas are trapped in USPS Limbo, and won't arrive before December 25th!

I'm really surprised how well Fourze and Meteor are holding up!! I seriously thought it would be a thing of them being just slightly too thin or small, but no; they're practically perfect. There's obvious places where Seihou would improve on but man, I really feel I never need another Fourze or Meteor figure again!

This display is absolutely my favourite; thank you! I am realising though that I'm running out of space in it when there's about half a dozen others I want to add...

I have that same scale. So handy so great. I recommend you get batteries for it. They will last a long time and make it super convenient
