That said, not excited to see what is, inevitably going to be people using it to dog on Ghost again for like no reason. I don't think anyone here has done it but I've definitely seen bits of it elsewhere.

Regarding this? Very high. Because early on when Kiramager was just announced people were surprised that Kanon of all people came back to the genre as the pink ranger. A similar example would be when I lost my mind after seeing Hidenori Tokuyama appear as Hiroto/Go-on Gold in Go-onger. A guest role of sorts that is common, but to come back as a tsuika senshi of a sentai show who wears a gold jumpsuit and pilots a mechanized helicopter/chicken hybrid after playing a elite-squad leader-turned emo edgelord two years prior. And considering Kiramager VS Ryusoulger is promoted these days might as well, right? :lolol

I guess Javel dressing up like Onari pretty much confirms no Onari for this crossover because Takayuki Yanagi who plays Onari has been out of Japan for a while focusing on modeling these days in New York it seems.

Jabel is wearing those robes since he succeeded Onari as the head monk of Daitenkuuji, while Onari started his own detective agency instead. This could explain why he's absent from this crossover, if he's busy investigating another mysterious phenomenon elsewhere. I wasn't aware that Yanagi had a modeling career though, that's interesting.

Yeah thankfully Jabel got promoted to like actual monk status around the time the Specter V-Cinema came out.

So even with them mentioning Onari returning to the temple from his detective gig at the end of Heisei Gen Final, we've still got a backup in Jabel.

IIRC, The reason Onari had that detective get up was mostly because the actor didn't want to shave his head again. A whole series yeah, but for like a minor part, not worth it.
Even Javel didn't shave his head, and he's now the head monk.

Yes, I was aware of him being a detective within the lore, regardless thank you for reminding me. :rock:
But I guess even if he had intentions to reprise his role I guess it would not be feasible given he is in New York full time it seems so just for a small one-shot crossover would be a lot of money spent, and with COVID making things complicated and risky to take a trip from one country to another.

Oh now this is just amazing. I just thought it was going to be Takeru, Kanon and Jabel shenanigans as we run into Desast. But the casting of these three changes everything.

Well there are a few options.

Who knows, Flame Subs might opt to do it, I mean we did get the Saber Theatrical Special up pretty fast with them.

There's also NonActionableFansubs, I noticed they've been putting up the transformation lessons and even the little "Good Theater Manners" anime short, so I could see them maybe doing it?

NonActionableFansubs normally only really subs specials, but they've been absolutely popping off since yesterday, so you can probably expect them to sub this.

TV-Nihon is far from the only sub group who does specials.

What reason do you think there could be to continue Danton's work though? The sky is blue now, so I imagine the only reason left would be to obtain artificial immortality on par with the Ganma Eyecon system. I doubt they'll get any results from Kanon though, since Danton deemed her a failure due to her death from illness before the events of the show. Not like Makoto and Chloe, who have total immunity.

Well if you count twitter stuff from TTFC as promotion, then they did. Like two weeks back they said we have an announcement on the 27th that will premiere the same day.

But not gonna lie, I kinda like how weird the Saber and Ghost specials have been in regards to like how they're presented. Cause they're just releasing full 20 minute specials instead of cutting them up. But also spreading them out for whatever reason.

You know actually wait, the Yodonna special is in August right? I bet whatever is announced next week is going for a September release date. And we'll get a similar song and dance of "Oh towards the end of the month, we're going to announce and release a new TTFC project" for the last in this set of Ghost things.
