If this true, probably the insect themes are combined with vehicles.

I will bet for card, or a mech themed Sentai.

I hope this series has a bit more of a high fantasy feel to it. Despite DonBrothers being mythology themed, it's far more tech feeling than fantasy.

I mean. You would think that such a theme would be reflected in the title instead of King Sentai KingKing-ger, unless there's another reading or meaning of the words, I'd think it'd be like, Mushi Sentai

I love Komura's work, but this would be her fourth season in 8 years. We don't want her to get burnout, do we?

Like I said last year, I'd be very apprehensive of Kobayashi returning, after the last Sentai she wrote. Same goes for Sanjo's only Sentai.

As always, Mouri would be a good option. He's only written one season and I'm curious to see how he would handle a second, using his experience as a secondary writer for other shows.

I wouldn't even mind Shimoyama returning, as I enjoyed the movies he wrote for Gobusters and Kyuranger and he has experience writing a king protagonist.

My personal suggestions would be:

Yokote, since she returned to write a few episodes of Kiramager.

Takegami, who hasn't written anything since Go-Onger.

Kaneko, as I think her comedic style would be a great fit for writing a Sentai.

I bet the lead ranger will be the self-proclaimed king who's the "best of the best" while the other four are "experts" of a specific thing.

Crazy idea: King-Ohger references specifically the Sentai with "Oh" in their name, but it's subtle, rather than having the Sentai actually be shown on their collectible items.

If their main robo doesn't use 'King' or 'Oh' as the suffix, we revolt. I want a stupidly redundant main robo name, it'd be funny. Don't know if that's just me, though, lol.

Given the passion for experimentation in recent years, I would not be surprised if they decide to make the red ranger the sixth. Given the king theme, the gold team leader is pretty logical, and red color is also historically anti-royal.

Not the Gorenger, Big One, Lupinranger, and Zenkaizer erasure...

One thing of note that we can and probably should expect is that the rangers will turn into their primary mecha. This made its debut in Magiranger and showed up again in Ninninger for perhaps the same reason that MagiYellow appeared a couple of times in the show, but it first started to become a trend when Kiramai Silver became the Kiramai Stone for his mech, followed by the Zenkaigers eventually all being able to turn into giant robots, and then followed the Robotaro forms of the Donbrothers.

I'm watching Zen presently. It would have been interesting to see how Power Rangers would do it.

I wish they would do half male and half female (three boys and three girls). Why do Super Sentai seasons always have more boys and less girls? Kind of sexist if you ask me.

Simple answer is: Sentai is primarily geared towards boys. You'll see the same gender imbalance in anything targeted at or intended for a specific gender, especially kids media. It's not a new concept or a concept exclusive to Sentai; girls media will have far more female characters than male ones.

I think even then there will be dissatisfied with the gender of the team leader. In this regard, RizCta is probably the most fair, the sequel / spin-off of Girls x Heroine, where most of the team is a girl, but the main character is a guy (and even the poster hints that he is not).

By the way, I saw a rumor that the theme of this season will be not only kings, but also insects. I highly doubt its authenticity, but it's worth mentioning just in case.

The insect theme rumor has been going around for a little bit, even before we got the series name.
I don't know it's validity, though. While I would like to see it, I'm not gonna hold my breath.
