I feel like this is the base of the equation especially given that Bandai of America had a hand in at least designing the Kyuranger Suits. What better way for Hasbro to spite BoA than to use the Zords and not the suits they helped have input under by trying to design their own kitbashes.

Company's can absolutely be the pettiest entities alive so it would not surprise me if this was the "behind the scenes/they're never going to openly admit" reason. And really it just comes off as more of a slap in the face than if they never adapted Kyuranger. At least that's my take on it.

I just looked into it, and both him and Starscream, my two favorites from Armada, are now finally getting new toys!?

I just placed some pre-orders.

Which also means we can expect to never see any of the Kyurangers in the Lightning Collection unless they get killed off in a popular comic storyline or somesuch. Such a shame. I really like those suits.

Armada Megatron is leaked to be a leader in the near future, and since Armada Optimus Prime is on the artwork for the line and there was that one prototype Takara showed years ago- that one might be coming now.

Rumor had it they never could quite find a price point to slot him in, but with Commander-class being a thing now that could work out.

I want Lightning Collection Figures of all the Cosmic Fury Suits. Gold has a Freaking Arm Cannon! Now that's an upgrade. I really don't like the Kyuranger Zords at all, but at least they should have way more Articulation then the Bandai Versions. Probably going to be very limited Zord Footage with 10 episodes. I think the main draw of Cosmic Fury will be the upgraded suits, new weapons and powers. I'm Totally on board for that.

So like Super Mega Force Kyu Ranger will be some sort of upgrade mode? And like Super Mega Force be a new story per se?

Any chance that Hasbro might use the Zord Spheres from Kyu Ranger?

That might be a first for Power Rangers. If I'm right the Spheres would form a new upgraded mega zord.

No genuine indication that the Kyuranger suits will be used at all! No real indication that this is even close to Super Megaforce, but I can see why that comparison is inescapable. It's closer to MMPR Season 2, and Zedd was a clear build-up to that.

There's so many ways that this makes little sense, which is why I think they're snowing us.

Green and Gold are the only suits which get teased, and it's a graphic instead of the physical suits!? Fishy on the surface of it all!

We are clearly missing something. The feel is MMPR, but it's only surface aesthetics.

You want to bet Hasbro dropped the Kyu outfits to come up with a connection to MMPR? Part of that explains Zedd coming back In Dino Fury. Maybe Hasbro is making the outfits as a throw back to MMPR. The outfits are more like what we saw in MMAR minus the bolt on the front.

I think Hasbro just really really wants to stick with a Dinosaur theme.

They want to have their cake and eat it too.

They'll make original suits but keep the heads the same cause they still want that dino money, even if the suits their making don't necessarily match up with the helmets to begin with.

I also imagine helmets are just much harder and expensive to make compared to patterned spandex.

The helmet is also the most recognisable part of the suit, helps keep the teams looking visually similar even shifting one season to the next.

The Ryusoulger helmets are also top tier design stuff!

Honestly its a shame that some sentai designs are relegated to a single year's worth of content and the occasional crossover.

We'll be that as may I rather have a yearly theme swap and new outfits.

And you get that with Sentai.

Yeah definitely a shame, especially when some Sentai get picked over others to get adapted nowadays and get more screentime as a result.
