I take it that PR is going to do its own thing instead of using Sentai footage? Makes me wonder if they will do a brand new original team from the ground up next? Voltron and Robotech did their own content without footage from Macross and GoLion.
|
I personally find the sculpted muscles and boobs funny. Like the cast seems to be taking in humorous stride too.
|
Not sure if anybody else saw this or not, but here's a video showing the new suits. YouTube shorts appear to not auto-embed the same way as normal YouTube videos, so you'll have to click it. (by the way, If anybody has the unedited version without weird movement and stabilization effects, that would be great.)
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7H4vzl_91Qs I don't mind the designs. They look a lot better here, and I actually like the Red design. My issue is that some of the material looks cheap, and the fake breasts are weird. |

Cosmic Fury is clearly meant to be an experiment, and the reception may determine or factor into whatever follows. |

I'd like to see Zyuohger instead and I'm curious to know when Bennett thinks would be a "non-problematic" time to finally adapt LupinPatren. |
I actually wonder if they’ll end up adapting King-Ohger or something.

I thought it was that they felt two beetles was too similar and didn't stand out as much?
|
Okay. I guess Zyuohger is the best choice for adaptation.

Maybe Zyuohger or Kiramager…

If they won't adapt King-Ohger because bugs are scary, well, that's a shame. But hey, at least Power Rangers Choo Choo Fury is still a possible candidate. :lolol

By the way, American stag beetles are red, so a Kuwagata Ohger doesn't have to be all that exotic for a Power Rangers audience:

It's really funny to me how quickly news about Power Rangers for the first time ever doing their own original team suits pivoted to "which Sentai will be adapted next?"

Hahahahahaha. In all seriousness, I think the ones Hasbro might be looking at for next year are King-Ohger, Kiramager, and Zyuohger.
|
From what it sounds like, Cosmic Fury is the final series of Power Rangers as we know it. Anything from 2024 onwards would be 100% original. No more adaptations.
|
If you’re going to do that, just sell.
|
Why should they?
It's not like PR has never had original content. All the previous US-exclusive rangers on the show, the exclusive teams in the BOOM universe, Hyperforce as a whole... |
Maybe Hasbro is still shy of bugs because of a certain Big Bad Beetleborg.
(this is a joke) |

P.S. Crazy theory. What if Toei becomes the next franchise owner after Hasbro? I understand that this is very unlikely, because they only enter the Western market and then through intermediaries, but it would be very exciting. |
As long as they can’t make original Zords, they’re going to be relying on Sentai footage for that.

Legacy stuff will always sell to the adults, but as far as Zords and Mecha go, kids widely prefer CGI to rubber suits. |
Even Sentai's using CGI for mech fights more often than not. They do keep the suits cause it's part of the franchise's charm but CG lets them get flashy and acrobatic.

Yeahhhhhhhh, bad idea

Just a quick question; if we're getting the Dimetro-Zord later this financial quarter, are the Pachycephalosaurus, Cosmic Raptor Zords going to be sold as part of Cosmic Fury's toyline or Dino Fury's?
